Omg the Killswitch line has me cracking up! 😂
I've been waiting for this one since this series started... And it disappointed me massively! Neither Dave nor Marty use active pickups and they used Jackson guitars. Guitars that Andertons stock. You guys may not be Megadeth fans but a lot of your viewers are. So attention to detail is important here. So, when it comes to Megadeth By Busting, please put more effort and research into it dudes.
i’m about to graduate and i’ve been waiting for this since i was a freshman
You guys did terrible, first of all in the 90s and late 80s they were using seymore Duncan or whatever came in the guitar
Second JACKSON V not esp or ibanez.
They do not scoop there tone accept for on angry again that sounded pretty on point. But they do not scoop they do use a lot of treble but there is also a lot of mids, especially on rust in peace. Keep these things in mind for next time
i think they did wonderful! also there is a contradiction in saying "not ESP" because Dave Mustaine did have a signature ESP LTD DV8 back in the day
Damn you guys did a great job . Cheers , cheerio mate. Great playing guys.
Please do Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers without busting the bank.
Rob C a gretsch streamliner and vox ac15 with a bunch of pedals out to do the trick
I really can't believe there was no Jackson in this video. I'm just happy to finally see this video though. Cheers guys!
Aren't Marty's signature pickups passive EMGs?
Yes
Yes, but they're passive.
8:26 "Metal Zone all the time" that's my guide to life
Finally! I'm sure the first 100,000 requests finally got heard!
also, Jackson or B.C RIch for Dave.... Screw the Deans
Any particular screw you want to use for the Deans? :D
@@H_Oscarsson just
@@H_Oscarsson Wood Screw, Flat, #12x3 L, Zinc, PK100
Isn't this community trying to SUPPORT Dean after that bullshit lawsuit Gibson filed?
@@nicodabastard I'm specifically referring to the guitar community. I'm pretty sure it's common sense that waiting 42 years to file a trademark infringement lawsuit is a surefire way to lose a registered trademark.
At last. Shame you didn't use Jackson though. Nice attempt anyway.
*long inhale*
FINALLLYYY!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, thanks for making this video. Very cool!
Sound like machine head!
Too simple. 6505, Tubescreamer, Flying V with EMG's, done.
Y'all should do a BY busting the bank of either DEF LEPPARD or RATT.
Thanks for the videos guys. Cheers to the hard work and taking the time to do these videos.
Have you ever thought of doing a Sounds Like Jane's Addiction?
Who?
No they never thought of doing a decent sounds like megadeth. So good luck with that
Good one, they're relatively underrated
@@davidjameschamberlain who
@@MistaFisto Jane's Addiction, one of the pioneers in bringing Alternative rock to the masses. Check out Nothing's Shocking and Ritual De Lo Habitual. Great albums
I think you guys pretty much nailed the older Megadeth sound, definitely one of the closest ones y'all have done
Love these videos but guys seriously, more playing please. Don't even have to talk less, just play more riffs. 4 riffs in a 19 minutes video is kinda sad really
The Marshall combo was probably a good shout, but 2 things that probably would have made this a bit better IMO.
Dave didn't start using Active pickups until the late 2000's, but the songs being played were from the early 90's. Back then, Megadeth was all about Jacksons and Seymour Duncan Pickups, specifically the JB in the bridge.
I would've gotten a V style guitar of some kind, with a JB in the bridge, the DSL combo on classic gain, and then a Boss SD-1 for the boost as well as the equilizer for tone shape for different eras/albums, and then you probably could've covered most of Megadeth's catalog, even the newer/more modern ones.
Good try though, and honestly the take away I got from this video was how impressive that Blackstar combo is! Might have to score one of those some day.
I'm happy that they finally got to Megadeth but I'm kinda surprised that they didn't use a Jackson Kelly for Marty or a King V for Dave and song-wise I'm surprised they didn't do songs like Peace Sells, Mechanix or Hangar 18. Aside from that little bit, I think they did a pretty good job in all fairness
Mechanix is too fast for matt 😂. And hangar 18 is tuned down half a step so too awkward
@@sonnyvargeson9770hanger 18 is in standard????
sounded real close to me
I'm 3 mins in and I think you need to re-record this one :P
1:57 The guy playing tool has good music taste
someday sound like Prince PLZ!!
Squier Classic vibe Telecaster with maple fretboard
Boss Katana or something that has an American sound to get his Mesa Boogie tone
Boss DS2 (Let's go crazy)
Boss OC3 (When Doves Cry)
Boss BD2
Boss BF3
Boss CE5 (Purple Rain)
Boss DD3
Vox V845 (Kiss)
Love these videos!
4:56 that laugh was from a skype chain laugh wasn't it ?
Best video of this series. Congrats. Btw. Love Megadeth.
Can you do sounds like megadeth next please
BY busting the bank
@@KeeperOfPoops without busting the bank
You’re right, Dave doesn’t use a Floyd, but he does use a Khaler.
Dave mustaine is a metal GOD🤘
Bea nailed it
Much requested and then you phoned it in lel, learn the excerpts properly or don't bother imo.
I've asked for this a looot! i don't quite agree with any of the gear chosen, but thanks nonetheless :) loved seeing rabea playing some megadeth anyway
Like other commentators on this video, I am amazed that they didn't go for Jackson guitars ... plus, this episode felt a bit lazy if I am honest.
Truly awful.
Despite all the negative comments, I think you guys did it very well. After all there is a budget so well done !
same!
Sound like My Bloody Valentine without busting the bank
I'm pretty sure they already did this bruh
Sorry got it mixed up w bullet for my valentine bless up
Also can I say you guys made the Metal Zone sound absolutely phenomenal, so much better than the Dimebag by busting video.
Now that Megadeth is out other metal bands to do:
-Slayer without busting
-Lamb of God without busting
-Death without busting
-Sepultura without busting
-Anthrax without busting
-Dream Theater without busting
-Helloween without busting
