I apologise for Addicted to Chaos in the intro. I had to remove the solo because of copyright. It took 9 uploads to get here... Have a great Christmas!
I've been enjoying your guitar tones lately. I was wondering if you would do a guitar tone to some of the early Testament albums ? Anything from there first five albums.
I always felt like this was their “Black album”. It just had that vibe in terms of production, drum tracks and songs. Also my first concert - I was 14 years old and arena tickets were $13.00 haha. Merry Christmas!
Love it when there's a docco on making the album, when I bought crack the Skye cd, it came with a DVD which definitely gives another context to the album...youthanasia as you say is a "classic". I didn't know what to think of it when I first heard it but the riffs and songs are undeniably classic. Great idea for a video mate.👍
I've watched the Evolver making-of so many times on VHS back in the day. Max Norman absolutely killed it on this one, just crushing sound that they completely ruined when they did the totally unnecessary remixes. Always nice to see this underrated gem get some love!
Another great vid, that Kraken is nice. Been using Stringjoy 10-48's for a long time, they've been great. TBH though I've never come across any bad strings lol.
It might be "Megadeth lite" but it is one of their best records imo. Just really well written album, ace production, and a lovely saturated Marshall hi mid grind.
Saw them on this tour and got to hangout backstage with them a bit. Marty took a huge spill onstage that night and was getting teased a bit. He looked at me and said, “Hey....I was still in tune!!” 🤣🤘🤘
Thanks heaps LambChopper678, Merry Christmas to you and your family, thanks for your continuous awesome contributions. You are a legend. Would you be interested in doing some guitar tone for Jake.E.Lee for the Ozzy album The Ultimate Sin and the Badlands - Badlands????? Jake does have a 20watt JEL Friedman amp- I can't afford. The Ultimate Ozzy was the VHS tape of my childhood. If you can't that's cool. Might sound weird but Jake.E.Lee and Gary Holt are my two favourite guitarists of all time. Love the Gary Holt/Exodus, Slayer, Testament, Metallica, Megadeth stuff you have done too. All the best for 2024. Ps, I hope Santa brought you some VB Pluggers and Volleys🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘. Cheers Mate all the best.
People always seem to shit on Victory heads, but this video is another reason I think that they are up and coming into the mainstream usage from guitar players.
Hey LambChopper, could you do some Trivium stuff? Could you also do some sort of tutorial for the Torpedo Captor X? Your videos make me wanna get one. I appreciate how much effort you put into your videos. Also, where do you get those rack type of things for your amps? Thanks LambChopper you're awesome :), hope you have a great Christmas \m/
Some people hated this album because it was slower. I thought it had a lot of great riffs. Watching how they made it made me appreciate it more. Btw, if you're watching this and deciding to listen to the album for the first time, skip the 1994 remaster. The original is so much better.
please start putting longer play sequences into the videos. when you kicked into addicted to chaos's solo and it slowly faded away upset me cause i was grooving with it
The tone on The World Needs a Hero would be cool to see. It's definitely not their best tone but I think it's cool and unique nonetheless. Also a very underrated album imo.
It would be cool if u made videos explaining what all the pedals and effects do bc I think your tone videos are super interesting but I don’t understand anything your saying lmao
Your Megadeth tones are killer. Could you recommend a good Megadeth bedroom setup (amp and cab) for a beginner? Looking to play at very low volumes but still with good tones. DSL-1 and some cab? Bigger amp with the captor x? I think the Marshall mini stacks look cool and would be awesome for a bedroom setup but Ive heard the 10" speakers aren't that great. Currently have an eleven rack and looking to start from scratch.
@@LambChopper678 Yes, I Have the VX mk 1, and also the 5153 50w. the kraken has a less compressed tone, but so much definition and chugginess, it feels so dynamic and responsive under the fingers. I don't undestand the complaints about its lack of highs, it is well balanced, I don't miss the fizz in my case. I just was wondering about your opinion.
Hey, I would love to see a Metallica 72 seasons tone dissection, it’s kinda more compressed with more mids and less highs but still sounds heavy for some reasons I can’t put my figure on
The first time I heard it, Youthanasia was a massive disappointment. More than 25 years later, I still feel similarly about the album. Megadeth tried to double down on the things that made Countdown to Extinction the success that it was, but they got the key ingredients wrong. They thought that Countdown to Extinction was successful because it was slower and had more of a pop sound, but in reality it was because Countdown to Extinction had some really beautiful guitar harmonies that enhanced the already great songs. Basically, Countdown to Extinction was Megadeth's version of sounding more like Iron Maiden. Because they focused on the wrong ingredients, we got Youthanasia, an album that wants to be radio friendly by giving us slow, boring songs and no noticeable harmonies.

Great video, I can't Believe you nailed the tone! Any chance you can slow us maybe angry again? You rock!

Dude I love this album it’s so underrated
So many great songs!!
Underrated compared to what? Tell us
@@asianaxeman I feel like it just gets over looked compared to Rust in Peace or Peace Sells
Its a fantastic record
@@asianaxeman I feel that too, it's overlooked by many fans

The Killing Road intro is pure genius, I love how the drums blend in with the guitars.
LambChopper doing Megadeth is always a good day! Awesome.
Finallyyy someone make a video about youthanasia guitar tone
As stated by others, an overlooked and underrated album… Train of Consequences and Reckoning Day are bangers that stand the test of time…
I love how much more methodical you have gotten when making. Its awsome to see. Merry Christmas from across the ditch
Damn dude, the distortion sound sounds absolutely bad fuckin ass...
Your gear is awesome man. Love what you do keep it goin!.

Mastodon make epic docos of their albums. Love those guys and thanks man
Fantastic mimicking of their sound 🤘🏻👍🏻
My fav Megadeth album. Thanks LambChopper!
Absolutely phenomenal album. Thank you for sharing the tones.
Addicted to chaos hits deep for me.
Fantastic video! This is still one of my favorite Megadeth records and I too was obsessed with the documentary. \,,/
Great channel
Used to play Killing Road the whole time when I was a kid (still do if i get my hands on a guitar)
I love this album. The first time I saw Megadeth live was during this tour back in the 90's.
Killer album. Some of my favorite metal riffs are from Youthanasia. 🤘
Awesome vid man! Such an underrated album
Your tones are always fantastic 👍
Would have loved to have heard the songs from CtE with the production of Youthanasia. Another winner, thanks LC!

I was fine without shoes by the way. But the twin thing is genius. Keep that going.
Nailed that crushing tone 🤘🎸🦜🎄
Damn well job done. Now I have to listen to the album 🤩
Great album really. Thanks for the fun
I could watch you talk about and play Youthanasia all day (if the copyright would allow) Great work Merry Christmas from old south wales
The road never ends it always starts again 🤘🏻
The clone master does it again, Nice work! Merry Christmas!
That was killer!
Another class video love the channel
Sitting on my verandah having a beer watching George thorogood..... Then i got a Lambchoppers notification🤘
Cool! I'll look up the dvd. 👍

Well I need to revist this album now

Great job, & I for one would love if you could do some Andy Larocque tones, just throwing that out there. Keep up the Killer work!
Great album
Great content 👌
You should definitely check out Sylosis. They are super underrated especially their albums Edge of the Earth and Monolith.
I love Sylosis, been listening to them for years. I just haven’t tried playing any
@@LambChopper678 Oh cool! Sylosis definitely has some really hard but fun riffs.
Loved this one! Will you start doing bass tones in the future too? Keep doing God's work!
Family tree is an underated song, i think it proper catchy.
Think you could do The beautiful people - marilyn manson? Been searching forever.
my fav megadeth album...thought i was alone...
UA-cam punishing your for your accuracy, would love to have a mirror upload somewhere so we can hear the parts they muted
All megadeth are doing is removing themself from history by blocking everything

Mega death is my favorite on radio 📻 legends

dave mustaine will never be able to recreate the deepness of an album like Youthanasia
Elysian Fields, Family Tree, Victory, The Killing Road, Blood of Heroes 👍
id love to see a Nuno Bettencourt Guitar Tone episode!
Nice vid, great sounds. Is that an Alexi Laiho signature guitar on the wall?
Yeah man, they’re great guitars
if you could make a katana version of this tone i would love it, this is the only album ive learned all the songs on
Now you're talkin'.
I was not aware you had a twin!😂🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
🤘
This album has their heaviest overalll sound
There’s 2 of you???
I’d this album E flat or 1/4 step flat ?? Thanks!

Saludos, muy bueno, ciertamente fue la adolescencia de Judas, son innegables las señales de lo que se venía 👍
Mr.Chopper, should I buy a mx412 stack for 650 bucks or an old 1960a cab for 700? Please and thank you
1960a👌🏻those mx cabs are average with the 70:80 speakers

which Eq pedal do you recommend me getting. The Boss Ge-7 or Mxr 6 band eq or possibly the 10 band mxr eq?
Really cool video!
thanks:)
My favorites are MXR 6 and Master Effects EQFH
Thanks for doing this! How come the DSL20 gets no love anymore? Plan on selling it?
I love the dsl20, I did nearly 30 videos with it. The Kraken is awesome and I’m having a blast with it
