Thank you for posting this Oma and Ed. I lost both my parents in 1995, they both loved to cook and were excellent cooks. And they did fight in the kitchen! What I wouldn't do to be able to be with them in their kitchen again! Oma you are the sweetest lady ever!
What a hoot! Love Oma making her son grate the potatoes. I’ve just discovered Oma, and I see why so many people love her. The son is delightful too. It is touching to see a loving son.
Yummy!!! Thank you so much for sharing Oma with us, I am now wearing housecoats during the day and I love them! My family is Czech, and my grandmother was a wonderful baker. Oma, you always brighten my day!

I just have to say, you are so very blessed to have your mom and be able to enjoy cooking with her. My mother died at a very young age, but she loved cooking for everyone. We had a huge spread every Sunday after church. She never knew how many would be there but always had plenty. Love y’all!!!

I am a huge fan of yours and camera man Ed!!!! Warmest of hugssss to you both..... can't wait to see what else you have coming our way!!!! Pam
What a wonderful woman, no wonder you seem a cracking chap. Omar is like a hungarian version of my (much missed) mother. My wife has been working in Budapest for just over a year and I've been four times so far. Love the Hungarian food, drink and way of life. With cooking with Oma we have food to fill the belly and warm the heart. Köszönöm szépen
Love it and will try it! My mom is German and a fantastic cook and a perfectionist too...I laughed when Oma was telling you how to spread the mixture in pan and to get each spot..my mom would of said the same thing....and I would of replied the same "It's good enough mom"
You two are adorable ! Enjoy Oma so much. I no longer have my mom , so Oma is such a sweet reminder of her and her wonderful meals she served. I just found your videos and am so pleased. I will continue watching with much love. God Bless You Oma.
I love these cooking videos. She's a sweetheart . Ed is a great son for documenting his family recipes and food heritage . To me, these videos are a key to classic home comfort foods from all regions of the world . BRAVO❤️
There was a time I'd be able to eat half that pan myself. Now, only a third. BOY! That certainly looks GOOD! Get out the applesauce. I'm ready to dig in! Oma ROCKS!
Vielen lieben Dank für die wundervollen Rezepte. Ich habe so lange keine deutschen Rezepte gesehen. It was a coincidence that I found your receipts . I was looking for a jello cake and saw yours. First I did not recognize that you are sharing German receipts as well, but then my husband said that sounds German. Thank you so much for all your wonderful tips, tricks and receipts. It brings so many memories back to me. I'm originally from Munich, been in the USA now for 12 years. Sometimes I'm a little bit homesick, but after watching your videos I feel like my Oma is cooking for me. I really appreciate the postings, God bless you and your love ones. Claudia.
+Claudia, Welcome to the USA. I too am a transplant and I hope you have been at least as happy here as I have. German recipes are great - specially the salads and pastries. However, I have found the German language to be just as bad as Latin. Maybe Finnish, Greek, and Basque (Euskara) are worse... but I don't know for certain.
This is like something my sister used to make when she married into a Jewish family. They called it kugel minus the sour cream. Great job Ed! I love watching Oma's channel especially when her family is with her. Love you Oma! I hope you are well.
I love this cooking show with Oma. The details and recipes are easy to follow and it's entertaining watching the interactions between Oma and in this case her son.
I've been cooking the recipes and having so much fun. I made the Guglhupf last week and it was terrific as strawberry shortcake. My husband is loving all of my experiments in the kitchen! Can't wait to try this one. I did laugh at the antics for sure. I may rebel a little though, and mix with my hands! Let me just say I adore Oma so much, and oh! what a thoughtful thing to do for future generations to enjoy...not only family recipes written down, but the "how-to's" on video. A wonderful labor of love for your family, and all of ours! Can't wait to put on my apron again!
What were the two tablespoons that looked liked sour cream I couldn't hear what you said and btw I too am an Oma and hubby is Opa.. I loved watching the both of you. That almost reminds me of Latkes.
Just happened to fall upon your sight on Pinterest. I am thoroughly enjoying it. Oma, you're a charm and a delight! Looking forward to watching your shows in the future!
I absolutely loved this video and laughed until I was crying with your son when he was grating the onion. Miss Oma you are the sweetest and funniest lady. I happened upon your recipe site and will be cooking and watching for your recipes.
Loved this episode! You guys are priceless! Loved seeing you together! Will try this for Thanksgiving while the grandkids are here! Live you Oma, great job Ed! Yummy!
Looks delicious! During this time of food being so expensive, this hits the nail right on the head! It looks nice and crunchy and delicious. What a great team! Thank u.
Thanks so much. This reminds of some special moments I had with 'my' OMA (actually, she was my husband's Mom--may she rest peacefully). I hope to get some of these recipes prepared for my husband and son. Thanks again OMA :)

One of my most favorite German recipes, Oma is such a sweet old lady she reminds me of my Oma ,we would call it Kartoffelpuffer we would get it as a treat at the market every Saturday if I was good.
That reminds me of a dish my grandma taught me who was German. Gahakis. The difference being she used left over meat like pork roast, beef roast etc. and mixed it with your ingredients and backed it in a baking dish for the same amount of time. I can taste it now even after all these years. I make it for the family when I see them and I am 71.
I just started watching your show tonight and I love your cooking I will be making the things that you have cooked thank you so much passion for cooking ..love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I love that your son helped you today! Together you make a great team! My mother use to make potato pancakes on occasion! I love that you bake it all at once! So everyone can enjoy it at the same time! Instead of waiting for one or two potato pancakes at a time! I learned a lot today! I really love that you cook together! It is really wonderful to watch your show! Thank you! I have already told my friend about the show and now she wants to see it too! I will post it to my face book page to share with my friends! Thank you both so much for sharing ! have a wonderful day ! hugs Judith!🌺
