I have been binge watching since I discovered Oma!! I just can't seem to get enough. I have been cooking since I was 6 years old, and I am now 67 and still learning!!
I am thrilled to find your Show, Oma! You cook as my Grandma Barrow cooked for my Papa growing up! They are both now in Heaven. Bless you and your Son for Sharing your Art of Cooking Old School Hungarian! ❤️
I watched her for the first time tonight. What a wonderful cook she is. And I love the way she explains everything. God bless you Oma with many many more years.
What a wonderful family. I am a little jealous. My family are all gone now. I get my family fixes by watching all these wonderful videos made by family members and they bring back many happy memories to me of when we were all together in the past. God bless you all.
I am 71 years old and recently I had my DNA tested on two different ancestry sites. My father did not know where his family came from. All he knew was his grandparents came on a boat from a far away country and his grandmother spoke dutch. My DNA says my first ancestor population is German and my second one is Scandinavian. Now my family and I started searching traditional German recipes and found your site. We all just love your recipes!!!! You have a beautiful family! Thank you so much for sharing your recipes!
Dear Oma, just found you and I can't tell you how much I enjoy it. My grandmother passed away when I was 19, over 50 years ago. So many of her recipes weren't written down, I never thought I'd find out how to make them. You remind me of her so much, you are so patient and take every step to teach us. Thank you again.
Whenever I miss my little Hungarian Grandma, I tune into Cooking with Oma, just to hear her talk... I have also added some of her great recipes into my repetoire
Since last night I have watched every Cooking with Oma video. I love them so; they remind me of when I was a little girl, watching my own Hungarian grandma cook. Listening to your Oma reminds me of her so much and has brought back many memories. Thank you and Boldog Karácsonyt!
I think, if not mistaken she's German, although coming from Hungary. Oma means grandmother in German. There use to be the Austro-Hungarian Empire. I'm from there as well, Transilvania. Where I'm from, there were ethnic Germans and Hungarian communities, whole cities or areas where mostly only Germans lived and Hungarian as well. Although it is Transilvania, they are really funny and some of the Hungarians refuse to speak in Romanian, still making claims that that land should be Hungary. It's defininetly not, but what can you do with some folks???!!! Some still reside in Transilvania, but most moved to Germany and Hungary. They have kept their language and ethnicity for hundreds of years since they've been in Transilvania. We have the Svabii and the Sasi Germans, although the greatest majority have now moved back to their homeland, Germany and Hungary, since the revolution. So the cooking is part German, part Hungarian, Oma does : )). I can recognize a lot of her recipe that we make as Romanians as well.
I have just binge watched 6 "cooking with Oma" videos and I feel so good! Just a warm, loving vibe. I'm just enjoying watching her do what she loves doing. You truly are blessed Oma! What a lovely family too! I will keep watching what you put out and I cant wait to try this Apfelkuchen.
That was the best cooking video I have watch to date! Such love, I am envious as my parents have pasted on. Cherish every moment you can with your sweet mom!
Oma, what a fun video, yummy recipe and a great treat to meet your daughters too! You are a treasure and blessing. Merry Christmas to all of you from Oregon!
I love your videos. The bloopers at the end was great! Oma's laugh is soo cute. Seeing how much you love each other is really heart-warming. Keep up with the good job! Greetings from Debrecen.
I can sincerely say, I love you Oma and your spirit! You have lovely sweet children, and i enjoy watching your videos! One day i will make some of your recipes. Keep teaching us folks about great food!😇🤠
About the pan size, It goes to show that when you know what you're doing you don''t have to exact measure even in baking which is much more scientific than cooking...it is chemistry which is much more exacting...there is still a feel about baking & such that is artisanal...certain things remain critical...but when you've been at it you make it look easy! I send you a warm hug Oma you are beautiful! Great ending with group hug!
Such a Beautiful family...you are so Blessed.. I was undecided on what to take to my sisters tomorrow for Christmas dinner & now Im going to take this dish.. Thank you so much Oma.. We love & appreciate all of your time & wisdom.. Hope you have a Wonderful Holiday.. Merry Christmas...From my home to yours.. God Bless
Wow , If grandma has a rolling pin like that she must REALLY be into baking. It's great for rolling out large sheets of dough. And those countertop surfaces, perfect for working with food.

I just love Oma so much! It's like seeing my own (Anyukam) Hungarian mother in this modern day era.🙏 My eldest sister, who was 18 years older than me who didn't cook or bake anything ever kidnaped me (1979) when I was 13 years old so I never got to learn how to cook or bake anything from my mother. And then unfortunately she died when I was 29 years old. I would just love to be a part of this family because it would make me feel so close to my heritage. And of course her son is Drop Dead Gorgeous! Just thought of a way I can inch my way into this lovely family! 😁🥰😘
