- On October 8th 2021 I was peacefully conducting a 1st Amendment Audit at the Kings Point Village Hall & Police Department. Officer DeloSantos was extremely sarcastic. Police Dispatcher Kathryn Collins was extremely rude and even began ripping down the signs in the public lobby. Commissioner of police responds, but does nothing. Definitely a fail here. The funny thing is, first they said it was just COVID procedures (why that is private, I have no idea), then the story changed to it being private files (hanging on the wall of a public lobby). Whatever it was, if it shouldn't be in public, then LIA did the public a service in making them remove it from a public area if it shouldn't be there.

I worked for the public for 30 years, The man that hired me said that you are to treat everyone that you come in contact with exactly the way you would want them to treat your mother, That stuck with my entire career and I continue to treat people with respect until they won’t let me!!
Seems like a lot of them think they "own" their work domain, to include the building. The longer they are there the more ingrained it becomes. They treat you the same as they would if you suddenly showed up at their home. For full disclosure I worked in a government building for almost 40 years. The building was the Pentagon in Washington, DC. And most people don't know the Pentagon is actually a public building. They actually have a small shopping mall. They used to have a subway (not the sandwich shop) stop in the basement area. They had to close it after 9/11. The public areas of the building are generally restricted to the hallways. The vast majority of the office areas were restricted for obvious reasons. Over 20,000 people come to work there each day. Some areas of the building were so highly classified that despite my very high security clearance, I could not walk alone in those office areas. On any given day there would be hundreds of people walking throughout the building. There is a building police force that mans the entrance areas and actively patrols the building.

3:39 The male officer already knows what's up. He's asking her if she "knows about these guys". Clearly he knows about 1A Auditors. He was gonna proceed to tell her who they are and he was willing to quickly identify her by card.
The greatest character trait of this auditor is that he never gets nasty with his subjects. He is always polite even when someone is aggressively trying to infringe upon his rights. He does stand up to those who mistreat him and his rights but he does it with a sense of calm…..virtually emotionless.
He has a kind and familiar spirit about him. I just don't get why people panic and make a fool of themselves.

Hey Sean, great vids man - keep up the good work. With regards to the empty running police cars, I have done quite a few builds and can tell you first hand that there is a lot of electronics which combined draw quite a bit of power. Usually there is a second battery in the trunk to help with the power requirement that has an isolation switch. The officers will sometime forget this switch and the batteries will draw down if the patrol car sits for a while. Any time the car is running it's usually a sign that it's been boosted and they are simply allowing the alternator to work. Cheers!

Commissioner George's explanation as to why the sensitive information was removed from having been posted in a public lobby IN NO WAY makes it BETTER. If I was a victim of a crime or had personal/sensitive information in the possession of the Police and they POSTED IT in the PUBLIC LOBBY I would sue the crap out of the City and end up owning a city block before the suit was finished.

So example: they hire too many janitors. The logical solution would be to downsize. Instead, they will build a building only for the purpose to have the building cleaned and maintained. Never less, always more. And this is the result. Offices that serve no purpose except to keep woman that is good at following orders behind a desk.

I get that it is uncomfortable to be at your job and to have someone coming in and recording you while you work, it can feel invasive, but public is public. We can't have secret police departments. There are accessible areas and there are restricted areas; the rules are pretty clear.
