- This is a revisit on the Port Jefferson Village Hall. I have had several relai Le sources saying that the Chief Constable, former Suffolk County Sheriff, Fred Leute was forced to retire from the sheriff's office because guns went missing when he was supposed to be destroying them. In fact it is alleged that one of these guns he signed for as destroyed was used in a crime forcing him to retire. If true, being allowed to retire instead of being fired and criminally charged is a grave miscarriage of Justice and plain and simple corruption.
All allegations made against Fed Leute are just that, allegations. He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

If you may, FOIA request his job application and records of the interviews and hiring process. You want to find out if info of his past employment was concealed or not investigated by HR. FOIA request the complaint and investigation done for his removing of campaign signs. And FOIA request the reason for his end of employment with the previous employer as well as the complaint and investigation about the sale of 'destroyed' firearm(s).
He needs to be fired from All Pubic Service employment ! We are still paying this man with our tax dollars. Disgusting

Mad props to the supervisor there. I don't think I've ever seen any audit videos where the cops agreed that babysitting you was a waste of time and just left the building with you in it. That definitely deserves a good shoutout.
I was a veteran for 12 years and saw some combat but I have to hand it to the brave investigative reporters. They risk attacks, brutality and unlawful arrest and incarceration in their own country. Thank you for your service.

The first encounter he pretended to be friendly. Stayed away from the whole interaction. Kept walking back and forth to hear and see if Auditor would be arrested. He most likely call cops that time but didn't want to make cops aware.

Businesses always get “ protection “ they are first in line, police believe them before the auditor, I seen where the police won’t even watch the video when an auditor is accused of some crime.

Sometimes it's not how many questions you ask but I believe it's the difficult questions that are asked lol. These people don't know how to respond to these things at a moments notice. This ties in to how a lot of these people and "public servants" protect each other and don't want to incriminate each other.
Crazy , every video I've seen, you've always been peaceful and kept your composure. Having those officers sit there to try and intimidate him is a waste of tax payers money. I don't think that this video demonstrated a positive experience with the police at all. In fact, I think the police were a bit unprofessional. If I'm a police officer, and I get a call about a citizen who is simply exercising a constitutionally protected right, I would not hang around to make sure that everyone is "comfortable". As an officer, I would explain to the snowflake Ken/Karen that the exercising of Rights should NEVER be considered suspicious, I would shake your hand, and then I would have been on my way. End of story.

Man that guy Fred Leyte has a lot of positions… Volunteer Firefighter, was also disqualified for trying to run for Fire Chief for the village of Setauket (don’t know why), Chief code enforcement, Spectrum Security Analysts and god knows what else! That was only in 5 mins. This guy does work a lot I guess! I wonder what he is hiding! I’m glad LIA is investigating and it’s the perfect journalist for this job!

I am so glad that you are bringing up the question as to how on earth a law enforcement officer who has criminally violated their oath, is not fired, but allowed to resign instead. There's a video out that someone filmed a Spokane officer literally with his pants down with a prostitute. The guy who filmed it is hilariously commenting as he's filming a cop with his pants down in a car while employing a prostitute!! He's on administrative leave now while its under investigation.

Do a freedom of information act for the call logs to see if she was actually on the phone when you were waiting for her.

Let's say your right, the auditors are after confrontation/views, which a majority are not looking for this at all. The police know exactly what he's doing so why waste resources giving him what he wants? The police can choose to follow the law and leave, no confrontation. The auditor cannot control how another person reacts to a camera or any other LAWFUL activity.
You can really feel the love in that place, to bad the DA wasn't there I'm sure he would have loved to see you again.
At least the law enforcement officers aren't acting like animals like they do sometimes when their ego gets in the way. They did a GREAT JOB here from beginning of the encounter to the end. We NEED more cops like this!!!

Sean, the work you are doing is important. I’ve watched hundreds of audit videos and you’re up there as probably the most respectable one. I put you in the same context as Jeff Grey and NNH. The transparency you strive for and depth of investigatory matters you portray are top notch. Keep it up👍🏼
I hardly ever comment on videos. Especially on 1st amendment audit videos, as I haven’t found one that has been as respectful and courteous as you, and I want to tell you, your job, the way you conduct yourself, is very important and paramount to maintaining transparency in government. The city attorney’s intimidation tactics from the previous video were extremely concerning and alarming. So glad you weren’t intimidated and continued your work. At the end of the day, the officers were very professional. My hat is off to them and to your professionalism.
