Piston Air Motor, 1/8 HP, 75 PSI test run

- Here's a Chinesium three-piston pneumatic motor that's good for 1/8 hp at 1700 RPM or so. I don't have enough air for that, what with being limited to a 1 gallon oil-free Senco PC1010 compressor, but with the regulator set to 75PSI, there's a lot of go in this little thing. Normally these are used in pneumatically driven paint and chemical mixers, when electricity creates an explosion hazard. But they're good for plenty of other things. I just have to think of what.
I'd take it apart and show you the guts, but the back plate is pressed in place rather than being sealed with screws, so that's a bummer.
super
Seems like 5 horsepower
If that will run on steam u can build a steam vehicle. U need only a car radiator for cooler and waterboiler for steam.
Gast rotor vane can did it long ago as a kid it ran a 90 DC treadmill motor got 10 amps at 14.7 volts charging car battery ran it for years it needs oiler but they handle the temp just fine NO SUPER HEAT I'm looking into these motors as well but not sure if t hey will hold up 😁👍
could you link them to a generator? Would it be strong enough to recharge the battery? I ask you why I'm conceptualizing an electric air hybrid
This would be too inefficient to run a generator to charge a battery; the volume of air needed would be enormous. You could use an air tank to store pressure from an air motor, then release it back to the wheels as a form of regenerative braking.
