    My heart absolutely resonates with this technology. The public needs to wakeup and demand this technology. Corporations will go where the money goes. If consumers demand a break from our petrol addictions immediately, they will buckle. Let's get this critical mass consciousness going already. Free energy, here we come.
    Namaste.

      As much as petrol is bad for humanity, air powered cars won't work, the power density of compressed air is laughable, so the range with be laughable, not even mentioning how big the air tank would have to be, in general compressed air engines have a low power to weight ratio compared to petrol engines or electric motors, also it probably won't be able to climb hills since it has low torque so it isn't very practical.
      The real solution isn't trying to make everything "green" its about trying to change how we work, in reality most people don't need cars, good public transit and bike and pedestrian roads would solve car traffic and also would make it safer,cheaper and faster for everyone to get where they want.
      Also not using cars means you get more exercise and also reduced noise pollution, which benefits one's health more than you would think, and also benefits there mental health, going out for a walk or a bit of cycling can really up your mood, and that's coming from someone who cycles everyday to wherever they go.

    and the brakes could be designed to pump air back into the tanks! That right there is the ticket. Not to mention air tanks are lightweight, I mean how much does air weigh :)

    • @richtomlinson7090
      @richtomlinson7090 2 роки тому +1

      Air weighs .075 pounds per cubic foot, or just over 2 pounds a cubic yard so if it's compressed air at 300 bar (atmospheres) and if the tanks were the equivalent of half a cubic yard, then the air would weigh 300 pounds at 4350 psi.
      This is an energy transfer system and inefficient at best, because it takes a lot of energy and expensive compressors and careful procedures to fill the tanks.

    The Quasiturbine has demonstrated as a pneumatic engine using stored compressed air.
    It can also take advantage of the energy amplification possible from using available external heat, as the solar energy.
    The Quasiturbine rotates from pressure as low as 0.1 atm.
    Since the Quasiturbine is a pure expansion engine (which the Wankel is not, nor are most other rotary engines), it is well suitable as compressed fluid engine - Air engine or air motor.

    David McClintock created a free energy device known as the McClintock Air Motor (U.S. Patent No. 2,982,26100) which is a cross between a diesel engine with three cylinders and a compression ratio of 27-to-1, and a rotary engine with solar and plenary gears. It burns no fuel, but becomes self-running by driving its own air compressor.

    The energy you spend in compressing air is always going to be more than you can get out of it when using it, the reason for this is when you compress air it becomes hot and then that heat is lost to the environment, as the air cools the pressure will drop. There are ways to improve the efficiency of compressed air storage but that involves capturing and storing the heat generated during compression and then using that heat to reheat the air as it's expanding during use en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compressed_air_energy_storage

      That's it. And what about the compressed air quality (if the motor and/or the control valves require a high quality, as expected, then ...)? And price? And, too, environmental footprint? And the sealings, namelly in the sides?
      One thing I appreciated: the vanes connected to the stator and not to the rotor (no centrifugal force on them) and the nice profile.

    When the Patent Office informed Bob Neal that his patent claim would be denied because it was a perpetual motion machine, he built a miniature working model, put it in a suitcase, and flew to Washington DC. He plopped the engine down on the patent commissioner's desk, turned it on, and requested that he be granted his patent on the basis that the engine worked. His request was granted in 1936 with the issuing of US Patent #2030759.

    The first successful application of the pneumatic motor in transportation was the Mekarski system air engine used in locomotives. Mekarski’s innovative engine overcame cooling that accompanies air compression by heating air in a small boiler prior to use. The Tramway de Nantes, located in Nantes, France, was noted for being the first to use Mekarki engines to power their fleet of locomotives. The tramway began operation on December 13, 1879 and continues to operate today;

Citroen and Honda are interested in the Scuderi engine which also acts as an air compressor/motor all in one - as does the French MDI engine. A Swedish company is working on camless vales for the Scuderi to vastly improve its efficiency.

    1900 ..... Tesla’s oscillating air engine used no valves or seals. It had a set resonant frequency at which it would always reciprocate. He accidentally started an earthquake in New York City by using it to tap on a steel pole that went deep into the ground. He was able to use it to run clocks and 60-hertz generators because its speed was so consistent.
    But his reason for designing it was to run a self-fueling air engine.

    So the engine is using the 6 cu ft per minute of air from the compressor plus it is only
    consuming 1 cu ft from the air storage bottles to operate. But as we add the 3 cu ft of
    expanded volume supplied from the Heat Reactor (according to Charles and Boyles law)
    the system is now compressing more air into the storage system faster than what the
    air engine is drawing on to run. This happens because the air pressure from the air storage
    cylinders is held back by the heat reactors.

    I don't understand why they have and engine running while stopped. He started it up, and it was idling then he let the clutch out to move. Why reinvent and engine, when any decent steam engine that has already been designed could work. You should not need gears, or have it need to idle. Just a valve to allow more air in, and a reverse mechanism to make it rotate the other way. There are plenty of compact steam engines already engineered 100 years ago. Stanley Steamer engine would work just fine, 300 lbs of torque.

    • @tylerchristensen1535
      @tylerchristensen1535 10 років тому +1

      Guess what you need for a steam engine... fuel something to heat the water. An air engine needs no fuel other than air. If you think about it though both could use the same thing as fuel. Electricity to pressure the air and electricity to turn water to steam. Long story short none of these will take off because the oil companies have everyone so brain washed that oil is the save all end all of cars. Also these morons have no sence of what peopel want in the look of a car.

    • @kens97sto171
      @kens97sto171 10 років тому

      Tyler Christensen Pressurized air will work in any steam engine. My point was there is no good reason to "idle" an air engine or steam engine. Just direct drive to the wheels. Maybe to run the A/C or other accessories, but that is not really needed. your car is not gonna get warm inside for a 1 min traffic lite. Hell there are gasoline powered cars that stop running at stop lights. As to oil companies... Sorry... But WE control them. We use oil, because it is cheap, available and reliable, and we understand it. And I agree with you on the exterior design. One positive of the idea.. is that it does move the pollution to the power plant... which is more efficient at creating that power, than your car engine. But NOT pollution free... neither are Hydrogen powered cars... The H is produced using electricity.. generated...?? you guessed it. Check out Doble Steam cars for some cool history on them. They were amazing cars from the 1920's Jay Leno has one.

    OCEAN energy can be retrieved from the oceans by harnessing the WAVES, TIDES, coastal CURRENTS and thermal differences (OTEC) in the water at different depths. The energy density of moving water is very high. This means that Ocean Energy systems do not have to be very large to produce significant amounts of energy. Coupled with the fact that over 75% of the world's population lives within 50 miles of the ocean, and you can see why Ocean Energy Systems are being developed rapidly at this time.

    A compressed air-powered car makes sense for city driving; it uses no fuel when stationary (perhaps the majority of the time), it does not need to go above 25mph, the short range is no problem, it does not directly emit pollution (it is likely less polluting to produce the electricity to charge it than to drive a liquid-fuelled car), and given that you sleep for over 6 hours, the charge time is irrelevant.
    Given the low cost of electricity, the running cost of such a car will be low.

    Undoubtedly they are excellent inventions and I hope that it becomes yet another alternative for mainly collective vehicles. But, do you know how many families depend directly or indirectly (selling clothes, restaurants, bars, etc.) of the jobs generated by manufacturing thousands of parts of conventional engines (combustion engine)?

    But... Liquid air would absorb the heat and then turn to the the gaseous state. This means the air tube will get frost when using the air tube.

    SOLAR POWERED CARS . World Solar Challenge in 1987. The leapfrog over the first effort showed in 1987 when GM’s Sunraycer won the event with an average speed of 67 km/hour. Today, the event is a biannual jamboree and also a barometer for the developments in the field of solar cars. For instance, 2005 witnessed cars touching speeds in excess of 100 km/hour. This lead to some major regulation changes concerning safety.

The tramway began operation on December 13, 1879 and continues to operate today; however, they ceased using pneumatic engines in 1917 when they were replaced by electrical trams.

    how can you so sure about that? this is our current development, and we still dont know what will happen next. Soon or later, air engine can move fast than other normal engine like fuel engine. Most of gas companies now afraid at this invention, you can google it. I just can't wait this air engine will be use for Aircraft.

    Actualy to store the Energy as compressed air seems to make more sense then in Batteries, until we goot better batteries. But it's not a clean solution nor free energy as mentioned in the title. Since you still need Energy to compreess the Air. It's the same thing as with electric or hydrogen cars. But with solar powered compresors it's a good idea. And you have no toxic waste from batteries and producing batteries.

    The primary issue is compressed air has low energy density. Air at 4,500 psi contains about 50 Wh of energy per liter. For comparison a lithium-ion battery contains about 250-620 Wh/l. Even a typical gasoline engine with 18% efficiency has 1694 Wh/l from gasoline which contains about 9400 Wh per liter. Either way this is nothing new, there have been prototype cars since the 1920s. Liquid co2 heated before entering the engine can boost energy density, it puts out co2, which is counter productive.

    Fuel for thought
    Nobody can say that the implosion motor does not run off of any fuel. This really is a totally bogus statement for it is a known fact that the fuel source is normal breathable air and water. Using the moisture content helps pack the air molecules at the peripheral.

    There is nothing that comes free in the world, this works only if you can maintain the air preassure in the cylender by pumping back the used air , other wise how much ever compressed air you have in the cylender it goes off, its like a baloon in the air.

    @Texmurphy51 the point is to save the enviornment, not to get better gas mileage. and the pump is electric. the car comes with a pump you plug into your home electrical outlet. your losing more energy gathering the petrolium in an oil rig, thats burning tons of gas itself, and using up thousands of wats of electricity. so no, its not BS.

  • @rlawrence2
    @rlawrence2 14 років тому

    All of this still means the car is "fueled" by coal fired, gas fired, oil fired, or nuclear power plants that produce electricity. If everyone were to have a car without gasoline engine, there would not be the power to produce the increased electric demand. And when the demand goes up, the price of electricity goes up (Economics 101). And the environmentalists do not want fossil production plants either. So where is the electricity going to come from? Not enough wind and solar too expensive.

    "Fill up in 2-3 minutes at a compressed air service station, or plug it in at home and a air compressor will do the job in 4 hours for $2 of electricity."
    Right... where can I get an air compressor that will do up to 300 bar?
    And why would a service station have a pump that puts out 150x the pressure of a car tyre?

    • @betamale3

    • @richtomlinson7090
      @richtomlinson7090 2 роки тому

      We would need a five stage compressor designed to fill SCUBA tanks and Fire fighter breathing tanks, and they aren't cheap or quick, because part of the process is a cool down period.
      A friend showed me the compressor at his fire department and it was a real careful process.

    This is pretty neat, but I’m not so sure he invented the engine to run on air… I saw a documentary many years ago where this was being used in India… The cars had 4 cyl engines and the pressurized tanks were in the trunk… they ran a 4 cyl internal combustion engine on compressed air. This guy may have created the rotary like version of the engine… but either way this is pretty cool and I hope it takes off and becomes available in North America….
