    Do you fly your gimbal with an external monitor or rely on the cameras LCD? No wrong answers....😂

      I currently use a 7" monitor off the side of my cage but I've been looking for a solution to mount the monitor on my gimbal instead. Thanks for this video. You've given me options whereas other videos claim "the best (insert brand) for everybody" which in no way is true.

      External. Do you have to rebalance after you put these on? Or if you put on a grip for instance, or is the balancing just for when you are placing items directly on the camera or on top of the gimbal?

    Perfect timing! I just got my 1st gimbal the other day the Feiyutech AK4500. I'm in the process of getting an external monitor and trying to figure out the best way to attach it to the gimbal. I don't want it on the camera as it will be too bulky and probably throw off the stabilization. Thanks for posting this.

    • @chadwin
      @chadwin  3 роки тому

      That’s awesome! I have the AK4000 and have really liked using it. This should work well for your gimbal. Also, if you use the ring grip accessory you could mount the monitor on top with the cold shoe mount.

    It's too bad they didn't include a HDMI passthrough channel through the arms. I hate having cables tangling all over as the gimbal turns.

    • @chadwin
      @chadwin  Рік тому

      That would be awesome! It is very annoying when the HDMI cable gets all wrapped around. I’ve broken a couple hdmi cables that way, luckily I haven’t broken any ports. I find the best tactic is to loosely tie the cable down to the arm with just enough slack to rotate, and then I’m overly cautious not to do a full 360 with the gimbal

    zhiyun crane 2 loses all control on sony a7iii camera when atomos ninva V is also connected to the camera
    Have you encountered the same problem? There is a solution ?
    The thing that limits me the most is losing the focus lock that I usually use with the central button of the gimbal, giving a bad flaw to the images that are in search of focus.

    That SmallRig arm designed for the RS2 is pretty disappointing. There's no knob you can loosen to adjust the tilt. You have to loosen the two screws on either side of the hinge with a hex key and then retighten at the desired angle. Not something you can do in a real hurry.
