did it with my pocket cinema 4k and worked like a charm. even have a saramonic rx10 receiver on top, and i feel i fixed the weird vibrations i used to feel. now even in the "high" motor setting, i can barely hear the electric hum. thank you for the great help, it was super easy
Time marches on? Although you posted the tutorial 2 years ago, I just followed your instructions and it worked perfectly! Love this modification and your presentation! I've seen other videos about this, but they didn't go into the detail as well as you did. Thank you so much!
Just tried this on Dec. 29 2023 after watching all the videos on youtube. You can just leave the wires exposed at the end. No need to try to put the cover back on. That's what I did and it seems to work fine. I think you run a greater risk damaging the wire by trying to twist and turn it so that the cover goes back on. The wire is about .5 cm too long to fit perfectly. There's no reason to put the cover back on as long as you're sure your camera/cage or anything else sharp won't hit the esposed wires. So at 17:00 just leave that little piece of wire exposed and don't put the cover back on it. Just my 2 cents. Also, I had absolutely no problem whatsoever taking the smaller cover off with the one screw. It popped off very easily.
7:54 I stripped a screw 🤦🏻♂️it arrived and I started doing this, stripped a screw before even turning it on! Had to hammer a star bit into it to get it off
Did the mod and to my luck one of the screws was stuck …( I was full precautious) and it’s a brand new crane 2s. The screw stripped, ended up having to drill it out . The extension part hole suffered damage but was able to break the screw and complete the mod. Wondering if they sell that part alone just to have it . Thanks
With heavier cameras it doesn’t work as well! I got the R5 with a grip when I attach my 85 1.2RF or even my 15-35 RF it gets very jittery so I just put it back and then it works well
@@CreativeTechLab hmmmm maybe I can try again but probably most likely not because after I put it back it works well just suck I can’t see the screen that well and I hate flipping out the monitors at times more prone to damage! And I hate adding anymore weight than a mic lol that ish gets heavy! I see people adding all kind of attachments to their gimbal setup, I’m like ya sure shoot with that the whole day buddy! I did see next review and the other UA-camr did say in the Zhiyun case it gets weakened, also the Crane2 ms is so convenient for TikTok/ IG reels Story pretty much all clients want that nowadays
@@CreativeTechLab yes i did it yesterday and checked its stability, it was battery smooth even when the camera stability was fully off, thankyou so much sir for the tutorial ♥️
cheers ! But I agree with some guys on facebook. You could skip the part where you unscrew and just show us the parts where it's hard. It would make the viewing much smoother. new sub here ! ps will it not mess up with balancing of the gimbal and motors ?
Knowing that I could make this change to the Crane 2S is what sold it for me. Thanks to you and a few others for showing me it could be done.
just did it today , and was following you step by step , you did great by doing it in real time , bcz others make it feel a lot easier , good job bro
Glad you got value out of it. That's exactly why I did it

Thank you for your video. Really easy to follow and was able to make the change in under 15 min
Glad it helped!

Did this I'm less than 10 minutes... thanks for the info

Wow glad you were able to complete it. I’d reach out to Zhiyun customer service. They’ll probably be able to get u the part
@@CreativeTechLab thank you ! I will 😅

The heaviest setup I've had is my Sony A7siii with a 24-70. I haven't had any issues. Do you think it could of been one of thw wires being pinched?

What is the new payload after the adjustment?
Hi thanks for watching. The folks over at Zhiyun say that the payload should not be affected by this modification.
Nice video, thanks
Appreciate that!
Good video!!! Thank so much!!!!
Glad it was helpful!
very good
Thanks G!
Use the same key used for the smaller screws, and put it into the screw slot of the small plate, and pull it out. Easy
👊🏽
can you please weight that small metal bracket? we would love to find out how much weight that removed bracket shaved off. Many thanks
does doing this MOD affects the stability of the gimble ?
Nope

Zhiyun Caran 2s it's able wireless mobile jaayro control or not? like DJI Ronin gimbal like !
I'm not sure. But I don't think so
@@CreativeTechLab can you make video of this
yes it has gyro control
cheers !

Hey Duncan. I don’t know how I missed this comment.
I appreciate the feedback.
The motors still seem to be working just fine.
Looks like it could be done with a crane 2 too !
Do not recomend, if you have a bmpcc it will give you trubble with vibrations.
I seen other people use the modification with the Black Magic cameras and have no issues. But I haven't personally tested it myself.
