To be shot and murdered is horrible but to be presumed a criminal without evidence, hunted down like an animal, cornered, taunted, and shot dead without remorse primarily because you are a black man who is jogging is beyond dispicable. In my opinion, they got off easy. They took Arbery's life in cold blood but they will live. God help us. We are all humans and should love others as we do our own self. God never intended for race to be in that equation and we should never make race a factor either.

To qualify for the death penalty in Georgia a person must have a prior felony conviction for violent crimes I.e. armed robbery, rape, murder etc. These men don’t qualify for the death penalty for that reason. But I do understand the eye for an eye mentality. They will all die in prison. Doubt if anything changes during the appeal process. The convicted neighbor has to do 30 years before he’s eligible for parole. He won’t make it.

How the police then followed those instructions instead of doing an investigation. How that DA recused herself and found another DA with the same pov, who also had to recuse himself. Why would they have to do that? Now, that DA is being charged with violating her oath of office. Three things the murders didn't do:
    1. Turn the other cheek when they saw the video. Let the cops do their job.
    2. Show mercy when pointing a loaded gun at someone and think about the consequences before pulling the trigger.
    3. Be accountable for taking a human life. They could have plead guilty for a lighter sentence. They still think they're innocent.
Everything the judge said about them was correct. They have no humanity left. Therefore life sentence is the best choice.

When the Judge said "Life plus twenty", Travis at last got the message. You can see him nod slowly with understanding. It finally got through to him that he must pay for his crime and that all his vain imaginations regarding his righteousness in this case have come to naught.
As for the father who taught him hate, his reaction to his sentence was anger. He still does not get it. He does not even appear to understand that he is the reason that his son will spend the rest of his life behind bars. The good thing is that he will have the rest of his life in the State Penitentiary to figure it out.
Roddy Brian is paying the price for a life of bigotry, and for his cruelty in going after a pedestrian with a truck. He has no remorse - only regret that this is happening to him, as though it was not his own doing.

Pointing your gun at someone is a crime. Shooting your gun without killing someone is a crime. Shooting a gun with intent to kill is a crime. Chasing someone down against their will in a vehicle is a crime. Cornering someone with a vehicle is a crime. Ramming someone with your car is a crime (which they did). The list goes on and on. Each individual action they took to kill and murder that sweet boy is a crime. THATS THE RULES OF THE LAW IN GEORGIA. Lol you’re not that smart. And let me guess you’re white. We need answers regarding the first responding officer that never rendered aid to an injured man. He then lied to the next on scene regarding the victim's vitals when asked about whether he had a pulse. The SOB never checked. We will never know if he could have been saved. Even if his chances of surviving were slim to none with the amount of trauma and blood loss, he was still worthy of an attempt. The whole department needs to be under DOJ investigation for allowing a shooter to walk around freely while a victim lay in a pool of blood. They should have been in hand cuffs or at least in the back of the officer's patrol car minutes after his arrival. Not holding this department and officer accountable is sending the message that you can murder an innocent black man if you're white and get away with it, but just don't record it.

A lot of cops that followed Clinton's New laws and became these sorry racists should be convicted like they were today. That Father that showed no remorse for what he did in raising a son to be just like him will have a lot of time to reflect on what he did to his son in not teaching that we are all humans .

Not sure congratulations are appropriate for a judge... he is there to balance the scales of justice, nothing more. I wasn't a member of the jury and have no opinion on the verdict one way or another, but a successful appeal seems likely for all three men here.
The judge seemed highly bias, frankly. The judge excluded all of the following evidence: Arbery had a record. He ran from police who saw he had a gun. He had shoplifting convictions, and had a reputation among store owners as “The Jogger,” who would steal and then run away. He was so volatile his mother called the police on him, warning that he might get violent. Arbery was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and put on Zyprexa, an anti-psychotic; it was not in his system on autopsy. There was a small amount of THC in his blood, which makes people with his condition irritable and impulsive. Arbery was on probation for two crimes when he was killed, which probably made him reluctant to talk about what he was doing in the building that day. Most crazy, the judge allowed jury intimidating by allowing Sharpton, Jackson and the other race hustlers in the courtroom... I mean, wow.
