Hi Bogda, Thanks for putting very useful videos on your channel, I replaced old DRL Bulbs and put new LED bulbs, after this Check DRL System warning is coming in my MDX 2011. Is there any way I can delete/ reset this waring because DRL Lights are working fine there is no issue but this warning light on my dash board bothers me. I don't want to replace these LED bulbs and do not want to put any resister as they can become very hot and can easily damage the plastic parts. I am thinking to reset this warning light by the help of code reader and reset the error. Please advise, Thanks Sayed.
Unfortunately you won’t be able to reset or delete this. You will need to use the resistors to add the load to the circuit. You can use the plug and play ones I used in the video, links are in the description.
2008 MDX, DRL light went out on the passenger side. Bought the $9 9005 bulb from Walmart. Great video! It helped me to change out the bulb in less than 10 minutes. Keep the videos coming!
Nice video as always! Did this on my 2011 x 3 months ago same vleds resistors and up to now no error in the dash. Still have to test for a long drive with the drl on for a long time.

Пожалуйста! На самом деле здесь климат очень переменчивый, и достаточно часто идут дожди, плюс влажность, а зимой - снег и тонны соли. Так что это действительно поразительно, что под днищем относительно чисто.

I was able to successfully swap out my DRL with this video. Thank you! Not sure I will do it again tho, as I scraped up my forearm and some how created small cracks in the bumper near the bottom screw hole, keeping the screw from staying in the hole lol al- but that was my fault. Any ideas on how to patch that up?
Thanks! This means one or more of your sensors have run out of battery. Does it show the pressure on all four wheels? It usually shows a blank on the wheel(s) with depleted battery. There is no resetting this, you gotta buy a new sensor.

While both bulbs I've used have been discontinued by VLEDs, you can still buy the resistors using the link in the description. It will work for any LED bulbs for this application.

Goo day. I was interested in the DLR light setup. Unfortunately, the dulb site is down. Do you have anoth.er recommendation for light that don't trigger the dash warning? I had gotten a set of "Fahren" for my fog lights which work great. The H9005 with resistors do not work on DRL's?

Yeah, unfortunately they no longer sell these. They have others, but the price is exorbitant. The resistor/splitter would work on other LED bulbs, though.

Thanks, Besim! Good question. You can't see on my video, but my right one is also cracked a bit. Yes, you can replace it. I'm pretty sure you would have to take the bumper off for it, although there might be a way to do it through the fender with enough dexterity. The OEM housing is a bit pricey ($200 each), but you can get aftermarket ones for almost half the price on Rockauto, for example.
When you upgrade your lights, did your acura display DRL system failure? I replace my fog lights and my DRL’s and now i like my lights but i continue to get the error on my dashboard
No, it did not. I had a burnt out fog light, which does not result in a DRL issue. Fog lights do not affect the DRL system in any way. If you replaced DRLs and you have a warning, this most likely means you put LED DRLs without resistors. If you watch my entire video, it will be explained there.

Sorry, not much of a helper with the first gen. Do you have the owner’s manual? Relays and fuses should be mentioned there. If you don’t have a hard copy, look up “2005 Acura MDX manual pdf” in Google and use Acura/Honda links. Good luck!

I have successfully used leds from VLEDs.com for all my led needs. Check them out, they might have the switchbacks. It’s not going to be cheap, though.
Hi Patreon I followed Your video to the letter. I replaced my daytime running lights with LEDs. I used the resistor kit and the driver side doesn't come on. Only the passenger side . Before I purchased the kit they were both on. Now it's just the passenger side by adding the kit. Need help bro.

@@AcuraAddicted yes the DRL comes back up on the dashboard. The LEDs bulb are good .just bought it a month ago. It was working before I put in the resistor. A little weird.
@@AcuraAddicted Hi Patreon i took out the resistor out and tried the drl led back in it worked. I decided to swop the resistors from driver side to passenger and etc. It worked just fine. I guess if one of the lights are out after installing the resistor. Swop them and both lights came on . The dashboard DRL warning is off. First, you need to make sure your fog lights actually work. If both of them did not work before you switched them to LEDs, you likely have electrical issues, as it is unlikely that both bulbs would go off at the same time. If you had at least one fog light working and it's no longer working after you switched them to LEDs, it might be the LED bulb issue, or resistor issue, or contact issue, for example. Do your new LED DRLs work?
Unfortunately the kit I used from vleds.com seems to be no longer available. It’s really hard for me to recommend something I haven’t tried. Perhaps looking up on mdxers.org would yield some results.
Hello Bogdan, am a big fan of your series, am using Acura MDX 2008 I want to change the differential fluid but I can't find the new Acura recommended fluid because am staying in Singapore, can Honda or Toyota differential work on mine, or any other product option cuz can't find Acura recommended online here
Hello Charles, thanks! Honda fluid is different, and while some say it’s ok to use in SH-AWD, you have to understand that it’s different and might not be good for the differentiatial. If you are having trouble finding it online, I’m willing to buy and ship it to you at nominal cost. I’m not sure what the shipping fees would be from Canada, but I can find out.
I wouldn't do it for two main reasons: 1) MDX is quite stiff even on 18". Driving it on 20" tires would be horrible. 2) These are extremely wide, it's likely they will be rubbing the wheel wells.
Not sure what the purpose would be. It's not an off-road SUV. If you are planning to use it somewhere where the current clearance is not enough, you probably shouldn't use it there.
@@AcuraAddicted The DRL you recommended are no longer there. But they do have a set with the resister and splitter. I ended up purscahing them. A bit pricey but they have 2 years warranty. Hopefully they hold up.
Its says micro limited high beam low volage DRL 9005 HB3 and it includes error cannceller resister and canceller harness resister splitter. Will this work???
If I am not mistaken, it seems these can be used for both the high beam and DRL and they will auto adjust.. DRL Mode Designed specifically for low voltage DRL/High Beam applications. With its smart voltage sensing circuitry, the Micro Limited DRL bulb will dim the output to 800LM when the DRL is active (below 10V constant). Once the high beam is active (12V-14.4V) the full 2500LM output is achieved for a fully functioning high beam. This is the first dual-output LED headlight of its kind!
Why does nobody mention in these videos that getting your hand on the DRL light is a painful process. I'm a skinny guy with skinny arms and I nearly cut my arm open trying to get the bulb out. There is sharp metal edge that can't be moved. I failed unfortunately. The bulb is just way too tight for the kind of leverage I can manage to get. My arm is totally raw now.
@@AcuraAddicted I finally managed to get the bulb out after the swelling in my arm went down and I tried again. The bulb was in so tight that my arm muscles flexed and pressed against the sharp metal edges. All in all, still beats paying the mechanic an hour of labor that he wanted.

Nice vid how do you reset the tpms on a 2008 Acura mdx? My tire pressure is good but the light still on

Hi Barry. A burnt fuse would result both of them not working. You might have a wiring issue.

Yeah, it’s pretty straightforward, just replace the turn signal bulb with the switchback led and add the circuitry accordingly.

What fog lights kit do u recommend? Where can I purchase them
Unfortunately the kit I used from vleds.com seems to be no longer available. It’s really hard for me to recommend something I haven’t tried. Perhaps looking up on mdxers.org would yield some results.
Can you demonstrate how to replace the small light bulbs just above the headlights?? I don’t even know the name of these lights lol I have a 10 MDX
I can’t demonstrate, but it should be very simple, those are easily accessible, just watch my low beam bulbs replacement video to get an idea.
is the same way on 2014 Acura rdx?
Sorry, I have no idea, haven't worked on RDX, so I don't know if you can reach the bulbs from there.
Hello Bogdan, am a big fan of your series, am using Acura MDX 2008 I want to change the differential fluid but I can't find the new Acura recommended fluid because am staying in Singapore, can Honda or Toyota differential work on mine, or any other product option cuz can't find Acura recommended online here
Hello Charles, thanks! Honda fluid is different, and while some say it’s ok to use in SH-AWD, you have to understand that it’s different and might not be good for the differentiatial. If you are having trouble finding it online, I’m willing to buy and ship it to you at nominal cost. I’m not sure what the shipping fees would be from Canada, but I can find out.

Will 295/40/20 size tires fit the 2008 MDX?
I wouldn't do it for two main reasons: 1) MDX is quite stiff even on 18". Driving it on 20" tires would be horrible. 2) These are extremely wide, it's likely they will be rubbing the wheel wells.
Do you recommend a Lift for the mdx
Not sure what the purpose would be. It's not an off-road SUV. If you are planning to use it somewhere where the current clearance is not enough, you probably shouldn't use it there.

I replaced the bulb to led wgites and everything is on and works but on the dash it say check drl system anyone know how to fix rhat
Yes - you need a resistor, just like the one I installed in this video.

They're holding up great so far.
@@AcuraAddicted The DRL you recommended are no longer there. But they do have a set with the resister and splitter. I ended up purscahing them. A bit pricey but they have 2 years warranty. Hopefully they hold up.
Its says micro limited high beam low volage DRL 9005 HB3 and it includes error cannceller resister and canceller harness resister splitter. Will this work???
If I am not mistaken, it seems these can be used for both the high beam and DRL and they will auto adjust..

Why does nobody mention in these videos that getting your hand on the DRL light is a painful process. I'm a skinny guy with skinny arms and I nearly cut my arm open trying to get the bulb out. There is sharp metal edge that can't be moved. I failed unfortunately. The bulb is just way too tight for the kind of leverage I can manage to get. My arm is totally raw now.
I have no idea, I haven't experienced anything that you described. It was just a bit of an awkward position for me at best.
@@AcuraAddicted I finally managed to get the bulb out after the swelling in my arm went down and I tried again. The bulb was in so tight that my arm muscles flexed and pressed against the sharp metal edges. All in all, still beats paying the mechanic an hour of labor that he wanted.
