No problem! A fairly easy fix for the front. Now I have the same issue with the one for the rear climate. This will be more complicated as I’ll need to remove a front seat to get to it.
I have heard that the worm gear isn’t actually the issue. It’s more about the Contacts on the larger gear. Pieces of metal get into the lubricant over the years and make contact with each other. The sensor can’t tell where it is, so it constantly jumps. By cleaning off the old dielectric grease and adding new you eliminate this issue.
This is a very helpful video, I also have an 05 MDX (my wife's car) and that car makes this god awful fluttering noise, now I think I have an idea what the problem is because of this video. I would have to figure it out for the 05 MDX though rather than the 07-13 MDX that this video is designed for. Another great Acura Addicted video!
My driver side gets warm when the ac on would this be the issue also my modes don’t work like when I put it feet or defrost it just blows out the front vents
I am having an issue with my 07 MDX where occasionally one side of the climate control system only blows hot air, while the other side blows normal temp air that is very close to what it should be (both driver side and passenger side being set to same temp). So in other words, say I have both sides synched to 68F deg. Driver side is blowing very hot air while the passenger side blows 68F deg. I am able to fix this only by raising the synched temperature to very hot and then back down again to 68F deg., then both sides will blow the 68F deg air like they should. The ducting does not make the fluttering noises like in this video. Any ideas what the problem and fix would be for this? TIA!

Thanks for this great video. I have had this actuator problem for the past year. Now I can finally fix it myself.

Could be. But I doubt that was my case, the dielectric lube was pretty clean. In my case the worm gear play was completely wack.
@@AcuraAddictedwhat a wack worm!

Thanks! I think it should be located roughly in the similar location on your MDX. Good luck!
