Thanks a lot for the video and it really helped me! I had to replaced passenger side one a couple of years ago and this time for the driver side one as well. The lesson I learnt from the painful experience is how to pull it out within such tight space, which was echoed by many commenters below. The trick is to roll the front wheel to the most of other side so you have enough space to rotate the bulb out. i.e., If you replace left side DRL bulb, turn your front wheel to the right most. As I don't have strong arm 😊 , the extra space really helped me put enough strength to rotate the bulb out (counter-clock wise).
Mine was extremely tight in the holder plus the fact that it is an extremely tight space. Finally had to spray some WD40 around it to get it to break free but was finally able to get it out and change the bulb out. Can’t wait to change the other side eventually 😭
The real question with this installation to LED bulbs is this: Will it trigger a warning code since LED bulbs require less voltage to illuminate? Some vehicles require a certain type of resistor to work.
Thanks for posting, when I tried this on my car the bolts underneath wont budge because they are so rusty and they feel like they're gonna RIP the whole fender off, infact one of the bolts broke right off, any suggestions?
When I turn on all my headlights at night the fog light bottom to the right is not on..but when I turn off all my headlight..both daytime fog lights work..so does that mean I have to change my fog light instead of the daytime running light?
@@Miike28 Forgot to mentioned, If you are keeping your Daytime Driving Lights as of halogen lights and only changing your fog lights to LED, you won't get any error messages from the system display.
Didn't help me...there's a bolted hard plastic air duct in the way on my 2011 MDX. Didn't see it on your video. I had to remove the bumper to get at the bulb...typical of Honda cars...
Yep, the drivers side is a pain (passenger side in video). If you do as he does in the video removing clips and get under the car you can pop out a the whole light unit after removal of a hex-bolt. It’s to the outside of the DRL.

Thank you for posting this how to video It saved us so much time and effort to change out the bulb on my MDX.

Thanks. Used your video to replace my DRL. The stealership wanted $45 for labor.
The view inside and outside of the lights is very helpful in identifying which is the one to be replaced. Great thanks!!!

Thank you so much for taking your time and sharing this video.
Thanks, wife brought one of these home a couple months ago and one of these just went out.
you can try the LED bulb, it last really long
@@johnsonwu6773 Thanks for the tip! I don't think she cares. Already ordered the standard bulbs, but appreciate it!

Good stuff. My DRL bulb burned out and was wondering what I needed to remove to get behind the bumper to access the bulb.

9005 is for DRL and headlight? Is the same with HB3?
Thanks for the video, very helphful, I just bought the LED white bulbs but I like how the yellow ones look, what brand are those?
Did you check the fuse

Thank you very much. Easy to accomplish.
Thanks, I have the same car and your video was helpful.
Glad it helped!
Do u know how to adjust the headlights? My left headlight was completely replaced but it was not aimed correctly so the beam is off.
Why do I need these lights? I just had replaced and it’s out again. Can I turn off warning code without replacing? I’d rather
To make the electrical installation better add daytime running lamp relay from EBay or Amazon
Thanks. That helps.

Yes, your fog light needs to be replace. I personally like the LED bulbs, just that you will have to live with the error code daily.

@@Miike28 All light bulbs have the same direction.
To release: Turn Left
To screw back: Turn Right

Dont use your thumb to rotate ccw or ("left"), use middle and ring finger.
did you get any error code?
Yes, due to using the LED, the voltage is lower than regular bulb, so the system will not be able to detect the LED bulb.
Johnson Wu anything to fix the error code?
@@ironflesh8414 only way to avoid error code is is use the halogen light bulbs.
And do halogen light bulbs come in colors all I see is white and yellow
@@johnsonwu6773 www.vleds.com/r2-drl.html There are kits that plug before the bulb and contain correct size resistor to full the ECU
