Regarding the SS195 LF, are the rumors true regarding the 5-10 year shelf life? They say 5-10 years because of the bullet being lead free.
I have yet to find an intelligent, clear, cut answer to this and would really like to know.

It has nothing too do with the bullet core. The lead free bullet core has nothing to do with shelf life. So when the SS195 first came to market their lead free primers had issues. Well fact is back then ALL lead free primers, aluminium replaced the lead, all had issues. You have to remember this was mid 1990's. Lead free primers were new and the science of them was still in process. Modern lead free primers do not have issues. This was driven less by civilian market and more by the military. Militaries demanded lead free primers that also meet thier standards and the result was lead free primers with a much longer shelf life

@@jayblemsin4226 Back when they first came out ALL lead free primers had issues. Current 5.7x28 lead Free primers have to meet military specifications for shelf life. At least 20 years if stored properly.

As well as any other ammo in the R57. I supplied R&D ammunition to Ruger for the R57.

Thanks for explaining all the differences! I got my Ruger-57 two years ago and love it. Always thought the red box was for police only, but now I know it's just a marketing ploy. I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to purchase some of the S4, as every time I check, it's sold out. :( Great channel, and I look forward to more videos!
Can this ammunition still be pre ordered? I know of the wait but I rather have this ammo now then never before getting my new fn later this year. I’m a ready before everything type of guy. I have purchased a pack of your ammunition before but have not since.

@@RafaelJimenez-hz9gu Ok you need to do some research. Please define body armor? There are about 15 levels of armor from a flack vest that a 22 long rifle will zip through to heavy plate armor designed to stop 50 BMG. NIJ publishes ratings for body armor and applies levels to them. 198 is ok, will it penetrate some body armor yes, and it will bounce off even more.
I bought 100 rounds of your elite trident 40 grain ammo for hand loading. Any advice on how hot I can load them?

I'm still not clear on this direct blow-back and the P50. According to all the web info that I"m seeing the P90 and the PS90 are also direct blow-back weapons. The mechanism seems to be very similar to the P50. Do you have a link or some documentation that explains how the blow-back mechanism of the P90 & PS90 differs from that of the P50?
OK a weapon can be direct blow back and can be ether a delayed blow back OR a non delayed blow back. The barrel on the P50 is fixed in place and does not move at all . The barrel on the P90/PS90 moves back and forth. This makes it a delayed blow back. Since the barrel moves to the rear with the bolt while the bullet is traveling down the barrel. The distance is about .5mm. It's minimal and the reason why the FNH Five Seven pistol can handle higher pressure loads since it's delayed blow back is much greater. This is also why some PS9, NOT P90!, PS90's do have issues. See here. This is s detailed description of the P90/PS90 system, an issue SOME PS90's have due to FNH just extending the barel and not doing anything with the delay to compensate for the longer barrel and longer duration of the chamber pressures. Any issues with the PSA Rock 5.7
Yes, while I had great luck with one running over 5k ot and my second one both ate their cams. The cams seem to be a weak spot. Truth be told that is the part that wears out the soonest on the FsN and the Rocks is tiny compared to it. I actually have knocked down my S4 loads from 48k to 45k because of the Rock cams. The cam is MIM. I am currently halfway through bringing to market a stronger CNC cam for the Rock and FsN.
Couldn't I just measure the powder from a ss198 case, then pull a bullet from ss195 and add the difference to get it back to full power? Ss198 is far more expensive than then the 195, so it would be cheaper to buy the 195 in bulk, sacrifice a couple cartridges to use the powder as a booster for the rest.
I have pictures of just how well that works out. Large manufactures have dozens of different powders they use, most look the same. At last count they have used 14 different powders for the SS197 and I STOPPED cataloging all the type years ago.

Is the S4M the same as the S4 without the molly? Does the molly in the S4M provide any beneficial value if just used in the 5.7 pistol?
Watch all of the video, I explain in detail at the end of it. The Molly was for problematic PS90's. There was and is not a benefit to the pistol in anyway.
Huh, “lead free” meant lead free primers? I thought lead free meant the round itself was lead free, like a copper projectile or something. My mistake.
I think he misspoke...I believe it is an aluminum core in the bullet that they are referring to...hence, the cross-section picture of the bullet.
While the bullet has an aluminum core the LF is purely relating to the primer and nothing else.

@@gameragodzilla Well FNH Belgium makes the SS190,SS195,SS198 and SS193. SS197, The American Eagle, and Speer are all made under contract by Fiocchi in NA. All the brass though used by Fiocchi comes from Belgium . I suspect it's a supply issue and also the SS197 uses an outsourced bullet. The AE and Speer are all in house.

5.7 AR upper is a maybe I think. depends if you have the banshee upper (uses Five-seveN pistol mags) or the older 5.7 upper that uses the p90 magazine (probably not, those had a bunch of issues anyway). Ruger 57 should be similar to the Five-seveN pistol.

@@doubletap1961 5.7x28 is a bit tricky. The general rule is that loads developed and tested in the rifles are fine to use in the pistols, but not the other way around. Basically the pistol, in particular the FN FsN when compared to the FN PS90, is more robust.
So when developing your load, if you want to use the same recipe for both guns, you'll want to do your function testing in the Cmmg upper.
Dwell time is a big concern for this cartridge as there is no locking system; it's basically a race between the bullet leaving the barrel and the cartridge being ejected from the chamber. The longer the barrel, the longer the system stays pressurized and higher the risk that more pressure will be present in the rear / in the action when the case is ejected (hence the mag pops common in the 16" ps90 when using the slower 40 grain projectiles).
I thought I mentioned CMMG and Ruger used my ammo for R&D. Runs fine in both. Only real issue is the cheap Ruger polymer guide rod starts to fall apart around 5k. Hence why I am making SS one that also allows to change out the recoil spring.

Is the t6b legal in CA!?
YEs and since it's over 95% copper it is considered a GREEN bullet and complies with ALL of CA environmental rules. The only issue is that I have to ship to an FFL so they can perform all the ammo purchase BS. So As soon as you have bought some, when we are taking orders, email us at the CS email letting us know you will make FFL arrangements. Depending on your location I might already have their info.

I have another question sir, if I load my ruger 57 mags to 21 and my PSA rock mags to 24, will it hurt them by wearing out the spring etc. ? Seeing how they both hold 1 round more than as advertised.
@@jonthannewman9941 YES, for one thing the damned Ruger mags barely work with 15 rounds in them. The spring is less of an issue. What you will do is damage the follower and cause the magazine feed lips to loose tension and fail.

Sorry to bother you again sir, but I have another question. With my ruger 57 and my psa rock 57, when I shoot I hit bullseye some shots but with both I tend to group a little high and a little left. I don't have this problem with my Glock 23. Is there a general reason why this may be happening to me? Ammo is sky high so I don't get to practice and figure it out anywhere near as much as I'd like.

No, but then I already know it's down loaded. I/EA have a speer HP load in our line up. The issue is limited supplies so all we are manufacturing is T6B and S4.
I figured the 195 is hollow point whereas the 198 wasn’t.
195 and 198 use the same exact hollow point bullet. Identical in every way.

EA ? I never neutered my rounds, in fact there have been three new generations of T6B and Dev with jumps in performance. Do you mean American Eagle? that load wasn't around back then.
