I started playing guitar about 4 months ago, I learned basic chords and watched a lot of lessons and tutorials the first month, eventually I got a little bored with all the lessons and just wanted to learn a full song. A friend of mine who plays the guitar recommended me to check out a tutorial to play this song as it is one of my favorite songs. I checked this video out, I started out like trash, but with practicing every day or other day for the past 3 months, giving it 30-60 minutes a session, I'm almost done with the song, just practicing the final chorus riff now. Also, I'm not that young of age where I can learn things a lot easier, but it turns out it doesn't really matter, what matters is how much time you put into learning the song without giving up. If I can do it, I'm sure you can do it, and if you haven't learned the song by now, if you keep practicing daily and make the guitar just a regular part of your day, I'm sure you'll learn the song in no time. This is the first song that I ever learn, and sure won't be the last. Also remember to find other songs to practice some days, because in this song you won't use your middle finger, so by the time you finish that song and pick-up another song, all your fingers will be fine except for the middle finger, it'll be sore, and it'll hurt, so make sure to use it doing some warm-ups or learning some other chords on the side of that song.
@@blxckbear9 I started out a bit easier with 'Zombie' hej by The Cranberries and then 'How to save a life' by The Fray. I got both down in a few weeks, but I prefer to sing a long aswell, which made it quite a bit trickier. I've had to take a complete break for 10 weeks now due to a fractured shoulder though. But that sounds awesome! When I can start playing again, this will be my next obstacle for sure!

I like this song because it sounds complex but it's quite easy to learn while only being able to strum downwards. One day I'll learn to strum upwards without having to recover the pick from on top of my wardrobe. Until then this song makes me feel better.
