Yeah there's no better feeling than seeing the joy on other people's faces , it's like when you give your children Christmas presents when they're little , once I was selling a Gibson maestro I had with an amp and I listed it on craigslist. The guy showed up and wanted to buy it for his young son who was just learning to play. I could tell the guy didn't have a lot of money , so I gave him the guitar and amp for free. The look on his face and the appreciation he felt brought joy to me , he couldn't stop thanking me. I told him don't worry about it , I hope your son gets enjoyment out of it and becomes a great guitarist. Wish I could do that all the time!!!

This was heart warming. Thank you so much. I don't know how it is in American education systems but over in the UK, music is very much being marginalised as a subject. If it hadn't been for having so much fun in music lessons I'd have never learned guitar. Giving those kids instruments will have had a massive impact believe me
It's being cut here as well which is a shame, music should be mandatory at least until high school. The research driven data shows that learning and playing music absolutely boosts learning and helps develop well rounded young people.
I’ve gotta agree, I live in the uk too and music is not taught well- If it’s even taught at all in some schools. And even then it’s just the same basic crap over and over and the amount of limitations put on you is obscene. Luckily, I’m blessed to be in a college that does a music performance course that gives creative freedom and is taught by people who are actually in the industry. I just wish it was a more prioritised subject outside of exclusive courses because if it was taught well, it would benefit so many kids.
lol. My 12 yr old took his sister old guitar and started teaching himself to play. Fast forward a few months and he bought an electric guitar. 6 months later he is about to buy a classical guitar. He is obsessed with. I’m sensing from comments here that this is going to be a lifelong obsession
@@HenryGoesFishing lol. Yea. That’s what I’m sensing. He’s already lining up summer jobs in the neighborhood for money. Girls and guitars seems to be a great motivator. lol
I am a Street Musician/Songwriter/Tonal Music maker. Once a year I can just about scrape together funds to gift a guitar to a beginner. This year is a little challenging but I hope to make it possible. You doing this is wonderful. The world needs more music now! It's an emergency!
Really happy for these guys to get good guitar to learn on. I started learning back in 2012 with a laminated old guitar and a string height of about quarter of an inch on 12th fret. Even with all the pain I experienced, I still love that guitar and still have it until this day. 😂
I love how supportive everyone was👏👏 I'm always scared of playing infront of other musicians, eventhough I play multiple instruments and some for years, 'cause I'm scared of their judgement. There is nothing worse than making someone else feel insecure about their talents
I know what you mean and I'm similar but I've impressed people with little things I've played when playing in front of musicians who are miles better than I am. Music is very expressive and sometimes simple and easy is beautiful. I only really play for myself nowadays (and my wife I guess, not that she has a choice) but as long as you're having a good time, that's all that matters.
Man, i'm always trying to encourage people to play and all that. There's no need for any judgement or anything. Everyone was a beginner once upon a time.
"There is nothing worse than making someone else feel insecure about their talents" Yeah, but unless the other musicians are actively doing something against you other than simply existing... you can't blame your discomfort on them. I don't get really nervous around other musicians, especially if I know they are 'higher level' than I am because I see it as an opportunity to LEARN. :)
This will make me sound like a jerk, but I'm glad you've changed my heart, Tyler. I've watched and enjoyed plenty of your videos. Displaying your big collection in some, I thought that it was just an awful lot of showing off. Yes, I can hear and understand you've definitely worked hard to get where you are and deserve all that you have, all the tools in your arsenal which I'm sure you utilize plenty. This giveaway, taking the time to be with a bunch of people, sharing your music, your time, your passion -- even giving away some of your own guitars -- is a wonderful gesture. And it definitely shows me that you are not greedy and just a UA-camr boasting "look at what I have" or "I'm so rich to have all these". Heck, it's your business how you spend what you have anyway. So, Tyler, I'm really sorry for feeling like that, having a bit of jealousy, and I'm sure it will warrant some angry comments towards me that I probably deserve. Regardless of that, you've always been a cool guy with a great attitude and a willingness to share your knowledge and passions through every video. It does trickle down through your fans as well...this just perpetuates it further.
Fascinating ... I was thinking the exactly the same thing. and then i read this. read my mind bro magnanimous selfless thing to do, and changed everyone's mind :) even mine. Kudos.
Congratulations on successfully transcending. Might not seem like it. Might not feel like it yet but with small things like this you win the game of life. Keep going. Keep growing.
Creativity is an act of intelligence while having fun. You are passing that around the world in a wholesome and genuine way. Much blessings brother for sharing your love of music and creating tonal experiences in this world
really makes me happy to think that little kid has the opportunity to learn an instrument now. a lot of kids never get instruments and never get to find out whether they enjoy it or not. something like 90% of people quit guitar withn the first 3 months but there is a chance that u completely changed that kids entire life going forward by giving him that. its hard for children to learn on their own so i hope his parents try out a teacher. its a really great thing to see children learning instruments.
Tyler - You all are great people, such a positive influence, I Thank you, and the music world Thanks you!! (And of course everyone that played "anything" and won a guitar thanks you!!)

Just recently brought my first guitar ever and it's an electric one and so excited to get really good on it and this video is just amazing especially the children who got to get a guitar. Never know you might be creating the future talent
That was cool as hell. Most tubers only give 1 guitar away and you got to sign up for this and that. You just loaded them up, put up a sign, and basically gave them away. Sweet, keep music alive!
Awesome video. Would love more interactions like this between musicians and the public. We need more smiles and love like this back in the world. No matter your skill, no judgment, just people connecting and having fun.
Hey Tyler, this has to be the single best video you have ever done. It may the best one any music channel has done here. Some people just need a chance like this and it could change their whole world. Nice work

That is what you call paying it forward. The kids that tried are my favorite, inspiring another generation to pick up an instrument is a beautiful thing. Nice work sir.
What an awesome video. I just know this was a core memory for all of these people, especially the kids. It makes you wonder what they will end up like after a few years!! Maybe the guitar they got will be theirs their entire life! Maybe the guitar will end up played on a stage by them at a school talent show, or something better! I love that. You never know how something like this can affect someone in a major way. Kudos to you!

The feeling of walking out of a guitar center with a guitar has got to be incredible😢
in my experience it's usually one part excitement two parts anxiety and dread for my bank account.
until you remember you have to tell your wife
lol. My 12 yr old took his sister old guitar and started teaching himself to play. Fast forward a few months and he bought an electric guitar. 6 months later he is about to buy a classical guitar. He is obsessed with. I’m sensing from comments here that this is going to be a lifelong obsession
@@michaeldc951 trust me when I tell you he is going to need a bigger room
@@HenryGoesFishing lol. Yea. That’s what I’m sensing. He’s already lining up summer jobs in the neighborhood for money. Girls and guitars seems to be a great motivator. lol
I am a Street Musician/Songwriter/Tonal Music maker. Once a year I can just about scrape together funds to gift a guitar to a beginner. This year is a little challenging but I hope to make it possible. You doing this is wonderful. The world needs more music now! It's an emergency!
Offer up is an amazing spot to get some really good deals on great instruments !
Good luck, thanks for all you do :))
Each on is awesome but my fav is her strumming at 12:48. And the jazz chord master before her was way cool! 😌🏆
anyone know what song is that?
@@JoshuaYHz Jazz guy is playing All the Things You Are
Really happy for these guys to get good guitar to learn on. I started learning back in 2012 with a laminated old guitar and a string height of about quarter of an inch on 12th fret. Even with all the pain I experienced, I still love that guitar and still have it until this day. 😂
Hell yeah you start somewhere, but even when you improve, and get better equipment you always remember the OGs 🥲
Congrats to all those who got one. And thank you for giving them out. WE NEED MORE MUSIC IN THIS CRAZY, DESTRUCTIVE WORLD!
I love how supportive everyone was👏👏
I'm always scared of playing infront of other musicians, eventhough I play multiple instruments and some for years, 'cause I'm scared of their judgement.
"There is nothing worse than making someone else feel insecure about their talents"
Yeah, but unless the other musicians are actively doing something against you other than simply existing... you can't blame your discomfort on them. I don't get really nervous around other musicians, especially if I know they are 'higher level' than I am because I see it as an opportunity to LEARN. :)
Such an awesome thing to do! Love seeing all those beginners getting a guitar - you may have just created players for life!
Kudos.
Beautiful comment
Congratulations on successfully transcending. Might not seem like it. Might not feel like it yet but with small things like this you win the game of life. Keep going. Keep growing.
🤍
I thought it was just mostly sponsored stuff about gear rather than showing off.
I love how you even helped a couple people out who were clearly not guitar players but interested and now they have a place to start 🙂
Wish I was there. You're a good guy for doing this; inspiring a new generation of players!
Be it the efforts, time and energy you put into this, nothing beats this. That’s your kindness to others. God bless you and your loved ones.
This whole video has such a sweet atmosphere. I appreciate people like this
Creativity is an act of intelligence while having fun.
Coolest thing I’m going to watch today. There is no telling how many new musicians you created that day. Simply incredible sir!
Bringing joy to the lives of the people... it's a mission. BRAVO!
I love that you did this. Can’t tell you how many times a guitar has been my only consoling thing through many awful times.

You all are great people, such a positive influence, I Thank you, and the music world Thanks you!! (And of course everyone that played "anything" and won a guitar thanks you!!)
I have officially decided that I have found my favorite human being, what you are doing with these kids is awesome, spreading the gift of guitar in this day in age is one of the best ideas that “ I have ever seen” you are now my favorite UA-cam guitarist…please keep up the good content…
Just recently brought my first guitar ever and it's an electric one and so excited to get really good on it and this video is just amazing especially the children who got to get a guitar. Never know you might be creating the future talent
This was a big win for music, good job tyler for making this happen!
This is one of my all-time favourite videos from you. So wholesome.
Hey Tyler, this has to be the single best video you have ever done. It may the best one any music channel has done here. Some people just need a chance like this and it could change their whole world. Nice work
I do everything I can to help people get into music, especially young people. This video is by far my favorite. You might have spawned one or more musicians that will perpetuate the music world. Thank you for this.
This is how you inspire people to start an instrument, with a memory. Great job.
I cant play anything, but i bought a guitar
lmao same dude, bought my first acoustic guitar this week. never played before so its gonna be a fun ride
same
There needs to be a multiple like button that I can mash the entire time I watched this. Tyler you are an awesome human and musician!!!! You absolutely ROCK!!! 🤘🎸🤘
The world is a better place with folks like you being generous with their time and gifts. Thank you for posting this :)
I so wish I lived closer to partake in one of these challenges. You’re an awesome person for spreading the love of music to everyone like this. I love your videos!
Sure tugged at my heart strings to see the little ones want to play as well. Keeping the power of music alive! Well done sir! (applause)
This is the most wholesome video Tyler has ever done.
My mood is lifted, thank you.
To see the joy and appreciation on everyone’s faces just made my week. Thanks for making the world just a bit brighter for a while. And who knows, you may have inspired the next Prince or Joni Mitchell!
That driving into Guitar Center drone shot was awesome. Seriously though. That's many great acts of kindness. You made a lot of folks' days. Keep it up.
Love that red ibanez. My second guitar was an ibanez. And rg350es beautiful starburst orange color. fell out of the habit of playing and sold it to a friend. Still miss that guitar to this day.
That is what you call paying it forward. The kids that tried are my favorite, inspiring another generation to pick up an instrument is a beautiful thing. Nice work sir.
More like PLAYING it forward! Am I right?!😂
This was so cool, good on you, Tyler. Could totally tell how much fun you and your wife were having with it too.
man that was so fun to watch !!!🤗🤗🤗 you made so many happy peeps that day 👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸🎸good job
Tyler, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I'm sure that is what your uncle would want. To spread joy through music. You're a class act man.
The Nashville guitar center must absolutely love whenever you walk in
