There is SO MUCH thinly veiled advertising in Australian news I instantly believed Sam when he said it was a little product placement at the tail end of a news program.
I knew instantly what kind of advertising bit it was... 9news or 7news or something always have an as seen on tv product at the end of their news segments

Yes exactly the straightness seems to make it difficult for Bob Mortimer. I don't find Lucy difficult to read but maybe that's just me. Richard Ayoade maybe I know people find him difficult to read. Trying to find an equivalent team to Bob and Sam for David is difficult.
I like how the part that threw them off was the advert disguised as news, yet here in NZ and AU we expect that type of misleading and misrepresented advertising as normal.
I love the banter and camaraderie amongst the panel. Intelligent, witty, wry, dry and sometimes just plain ridiculous. One of the best shows on TV in my view.
It ticks so many boxes for me as far as a comedy panel show goes, it really is my favorite tv show. One doesn’t mind watching the same stuff again and again at all.

I am Michael! It was very hard! You are told not to look at any of the panel or Rob and just stare into the crowd. Any laughing could be a tell and it’s all very serious believe me. No one is to know who I am or who I know.
