remember the outcasts? that's the real brotherhood of steel in 3. they dont' care whether you live or die, as long they get your technology.
I mean, they do. They saved me on my first playthrough of FO3 when I was getting overrun with raiders. They came swooping in like literal knights in shining armour. Its just that they're rude all the time. But they will save your life. Just don't expect them to be nice about it.

Fallout 4 absolutely made fallout 3 completely unplayable for me because you can get the best ending in the game where everything that was working for the good of man was progressing and the evil of the world was on a downward trajectory then just out of nowhere boom worst ending is canon, Rivet city? Gone. Project Purity? Gone. GNR? Gone. All the side groups? destroyed or in hiding. Big Town or Little Lamp Light? Gone. The oasis? Destroyed

I remember they used Rivet City to make the Prydwen but I don't remember Project Purity or anything else being destroyed
@@NaatClark yeah Dr Lee says she left because the brotherhood destroyed her home and made it so Project Purity only serves the brotherhood of steel by limiting the amount of water it could clean so the river wouldn’t be cleaned of radiation so the local people would leave or die out

Sucks that the east coast Brotherhood of steel legacy was ruined from fighting the enclave and protecting the community in capital wasteland just to be become a version of the enclave by killing synths and super mutants and even ordering a kill order to Danse just because he was a synth who was the loyal member and worthy paladin in the brotherhood of steel.
I do own fallout 4 but didn't have time to play it due to my laptop not being handle the game itself but maybe one day i can play it again

One of the biggest disappointments i had with 4. She was one of the only BOS characters bi cared to see again. With Arthur i couldn't care less about them.
The Lyons' deaths were always suspect.
The Elder dying due to "natural causes" after destroying the Enclave in the Capital Wasteland? Plausible: the man was very old, even though there were many that wanted him gone to continue the original mission of simply hoarding technology.
The death of Sarah Lyons is something less plausible. The woman was a soldier; a warrior. Her team, the Lyons' Den, were elite soldiers. Her becoming elder, only to "die in action" shortly after is suspicious as all hell. It's not farfetched to deduce that both Lyons were assassinated to have Arthur, a child at the time, be placed as the elder. A child that can be molded, groomed to be and do what you want....
I know, and there are too many people sucking off Maxson and demanding the rest of us to join him...

Many people didn't like the Heroic Brotherhood in FO3 bc in that game almost everything was White or Black, you were the Hero of the West Coast of the Monster of the Capital Wasteland, including the Main two Factions, but i really like in FO4 how, in a implicit way, they became a shadow of the former selfs, they have now the Best Tec, the most potent fire power than ever in all the Years the BoS existed, but they now became too stupid, too close of mind, now with very Medieval shits in the way(something that never happend), AND THAT GET WORSE WHEN YOU SEE HOW THE SHIT GOES IN THE TV SHOW, like, they became the Enclave BUT FUCKED UP
They became the most distorted version of what Roger Maxson meant when he founded the Brotherhood, and is one of the few things i love how Bethesda manage the faction in this game
Idk if it was intentionally or just casuallty, but this is one of many things that makes me think the wasted potential of FO4 and how easily Bethesda could create the best Fallout ever, but yk... "Make it simple, stupid" and "It just works"

But that's one thing. But the realization that it was all in vain....that's a completely different level. My friends are dead or ran away, and people...people have forgotten "who" I was, they don't remember my face or gender, even whether I was a good person or a monster. Why, why did this happen to me?
If only there where some companions immune to radiation that could do this cough cough Fawkes cough

2. The Enclave

4. Caesar's Legion (maybe)
The Brotherhood: Aided in the destruction of the Unity and the Master, in doing so participating in the survival of humanity from Super Mutant hordes. Exported technology, shared some highly advanced tech with the dwellers of Vault 13. Prepared for war with the Enclave and kept an eye on them, eventually actually went to war with the Enclave.
Secured Liberty Prime and Project Purity, fights against Super Mutants, defeated the Enclave in the Capital Wasteland, exports more tech and drinking water. Come to the Commonwealth and patrol the place to make it safer to live in.
They are not villains.

The Lyons were noble, brave, and good. The BoS is... not. I dont know if they were under the original Maxson back during their founding, but they certainly havent been in the FO games excluding under Lyons.
The BoS in Fallout 4 are tyrants, after everything the Lone Wanderer went through, I always thought of Sarah as a new friend for the LW ..

Kind of really liked how FO4 BOS were basically the Enclave but you can justify all your actions. Sort of how you can justify every faction in NV.

Imagine you risk and sacrifice everything to ensure the safety of the city and later the world. Only to be punished for it in name of cleansing by the very people whom you protected.
And don't forget to add that the "new" Brotherhood and it's radical fans will harass people who won't agree with them.

I think that Bethesda is slowly turning BoS into the "main" enemy, like enclave was in Fallout 3. They lived long enough to see themself become the vilains.

There were several Elders between Sarah and Maxson.
Maxson did not, it maybe possible that she was killed by members of the Brotherhood who wanted a different direction, but even if that is true, Maxson would almost certainly be furious if he ever found out and make an example of them.

The only good things about fo76 is online so i can play with friends, and the fact that you can join the Enclave. BoS has just become dollar tree Enclave.

Yeah... That's because they had already killed multiple BOS soldiers. They kill any and all "freaks of nature" on sight (synths, ghouls, super mutants, etc) even if they aren't hostile. The only exclusion is strong, but even then, Maxson is rude towards Stront and sees him as less than a human.

I always enjoyed this small return to form for the brotherhood... They really felt like a dying faction, while still powerful in power projection and resources their cultural confilcts internally have them nearly gone.
They've strayed too far from tradition to return without bloodshed, but without enough vision or great leaders to direct them into a new cause.
Now they exist as a hollow force imposing itself for half understood and contridicting reasons.
Either that or Fo4 was written by hacks.

Most of the factions in fallout are based off of historical factions. Just like Caesar’s Legion was based off of the Roman Empire, the Brotherhood was based off of the Nazis. Really makes you see things from a different perspective.

The missions cleansing the commonwealth have you destroy ferals and super mutants or other dangerous creatures. They never tell you to wipe out civilians, Danse who is as brotherhood as they come will never fail to let you know how unacceptable killing civilians is. I learned that getting a little too trigger happy with the mini gun on the vertibird
