- Fallout Chicago is a DLC sized expansion to critically acclaimed Fallout New Vegas. You'll set out to solve pre war mysteries, post war politics between The Union Mob and Midwest Brotherhood along with other factions dilemmas. Chicago is dangerous and fraught with betrayal do you have what it takes to make it out on your mission, hell this was supposed to be a side job after all?

Ironically, big cities would be mostly abandoned and scrapped in real life especially due to the failure of utilities and disease issues. We know this because once the aqueducts of Rome were wrecked, the city's population fell and stuff inside was scrapped for home construction in rural areas. Big cities in the Fallout universe would be stripped of concrete which would be cut into blocks for house construction and all the steel would be smithed into tools instead of left to rust. At the very least, the remains of the cities would be turned into large walls in rural areas to keep deathclaws and other wild animals from getting in.
I like how mod reveals are more exciting than game reveals now

Graphics reminiscent early build Fallout 3 and music that makes me want to turn the volume down. Yes my excitement spills over.
The issue is that big two DLC sized mods flopped, New California and Frontiers...
So I can't get excited for these NV DLC sized mods anymore 😢.
I really hope at least ONE of them proves me wrong and makes me feel like a fool, but for now... We shall wait and see

My grandpa is from the Windy City. It has the best architecture works in the entire county. Completely overlooked.
I do like the choice of music for this. Usually you'd expect a more jovial or 'quintessentially 50s' song for anything fallout now, but the choice of such an outright somber song for a mod where you'll probably be stepping over the ruins of the most industrial cities in the United States is just so fitting.
I gotta give ya props, you lads have caught me hook, line, and sinker.
Fo4 pre war was the late 70s canonically and with the post war theme you'd think they would have included more Vietnam Era records into the fallout sound track to not only fit the theme but to connect it directly to the history and overall moral of the stories

Man I really miss thr Fallout 3/New Vegas art design.
Both FNV and F3 share the Gamebryo engine, which was known for being quiet difficult to work with and is currently outdated. Despite this, I do agree that it had an appealing design
I also love the feel of that engine, what I love about the new engine though is the revamped creatures and the massive improvements to power armor.
Fallout 4 is too bright and shiny... We need a mod that gives us Fallout 3 atmosphere and also swap the colorful textures to dark ones.

@@ncrranger2281 that too, but an engine can effect how things look. I don’t doubt newer engines can mime older console looks and their respective art styles.
For F3 and FNV their designs are iconic in my opinion

Fallout Chicago is just like Chicago 2024. I can't tell the difference.

I think the group that attacks the guys in power armor by the theater (who I presume are the BoS) are Enclave but I might be wrong
The Enclave won't allow wastlanders to join them. The Enclave are out to exterminate all mutants. And they see wastelanders as mutants.

I'd like to see the enclave outpost too, but I hope you guys have some new factions. Seeing the Enclave, Midwest BOS, and Legion in one game would be fucking sick though.
Very intriguing. Honestly just the name of “The Union Mob” for a faction is leagues more interesting than any group in the last 2 official games. I hope this project picks up
Thanks were trying to mix our factions in with the established cannon of Chicago so fans feel like this is a Fallout game but has it's own story to tell.
I always expected a somewhat syndicalist/communist union to form in Chicago from all the factory laborers like in the Pitt, but a mob crime union is very interesting too.

Hopefully, this is made, with high quality in mind, since many other DLC size mods often never get finished due to a lot of disorganization.
We're keeping the mod a reasonable size don't expect Fallout London big this will be dlc sized chunk maybe more if we expand the team

Too many times ive booted up a mod and been revered as a hero when my character is the kind of guy to stay under the radar
@@jackpitman15 Chicago is disconnected from New Vegas they know your a courier but have no idea who or what you represent so I'm sure you'll enjoy the skill checks and RPG aspects. Our dialogue works like Fallout 1 and 2 with the better features of New Vegas Quests.

Been playing the OWB HOI4 mod and I have recently been doing a Enclave run and it has an entire story arc about how the Chicago Enclave are nuts.
Yeah it has the Empire Darth Sidious vibes. They seem truly ruthless and formidable

Yeah a fallout: midwest would be nice too like you go to cities like Detroit and st Louis and Chicago would be the epicenter or something like that.
@@MarkSamurai5 That'd be way too big for one Fallout game, WAY too big, Detroit and St Louis WAY too far away. They had to cut a bunch of stuff of what is in the real life borders portrayed in FNV to even remotely make the game happen. Even 4 is relatively small compared to the space of the area.

I've watched this trailer probably five times now. It's so simple, but the song, the colors, and the title card glitching into view set the tone well. I get the feeling that this adventure may be a sad one.

As a Chicago native I'm very much looking forward to this! I'm not sure how ambitious you will be with this mod but I hope you do something interesting with our tallest building in the city the Sears Tower.
The Midwest Brother HQ is located there we're trying to find someone to model it but it might just be a kitbash of models to look like Willis tower.

Just think about all the official Fallout titles we’re missing out on because Bethesda refuse to license out the franchise to better, more talented game developers. Instead we likely have to wait another 10 years for a bang average official Fallout game with basic role playing mechanics on a 30 year old engine.

God bless the devs. These projects harken back to the first two Fallouts & New Vegas. The difference is people motivated by a passion for the franchise and not simply here to slap some Nuka Cola signs around and call it a day like a certain AAA game studio.
