Thank you so much! She’s really taken off in the past couple months. I wished she could have climbed more before chopping her but that’s okay! I know she’s going to bounce back for me! 🥹
Oh my my my my my!!!!! #Marble Queen Pothos Goals!!!!! Every part of her is amazing, from the mother plant to the one on the pole. You're doing amazingly with her, very inspirational.
As always I admire your approach to your projects. You approach tasks with planning, focus and positive emotion. I think the nervousness you talk about is a positive attribute because it shows care and dedication to the task at hand and your high standards are commendable as well. Very nice job. The pre-chop height of the pole in this video looked to be as tall as I am, 6-6 in my younger days more like 6-5 now. Thanks for this video.
I was really thinking she was being overdramatic about chopping the moss pole...i mean...its just a pole...until i saw the plant got chopped as well...was not expecting that. I just figured the plant would be detached and reattached to be more suitable pole...interesting
The leaves are so beautiful! I have an idea.. couldn’t you just cut the plastic off around the roots and moss (yes it will be time consuming lol) keep the roots and moss attached then put the wire around the moss/roots and zip tie it together? You wouldn’t have to chop anything again. I just recently did something similar with my Philodendron Milano. I was able to take it off the old pole and put it on another without chopping anything. Just cut the plastic off and around the aerial roots and moss!
Hi there! Thank you ☺️ I feel like it would take soo long to cut all that lol. I don’t think I could manage. I’ll have to eventually chop again anyway once it reaches the top of the extension. It definitely sounds interesting!
Thank you! The wire poles are pretty sturdy! The bigger leaves up top can cause them to get a little top heavy so using a stake helps and having a heavier pot on the bottom stabilizes it some more ☺️
I was just wondering, what if you laid it dow and cut the pole all up the back, pulled out the moss and tried to gently pull the roots through? I’d be really curious to try that. I also have the plastic poles and didn’t realize how flimsy they would be. 🤔
You can’t really place them back inside of a new pole. It honestly would take so long and you’ll stress the plant out more of you mess with the roots too much 😊
I haven’t had to deal with that yet lol. They would probably go dry honestly. I would have to turn my grow lights down to minimize water consumption and make sure everything was super watered before I left I usually don’t leave for more then a few days or if there’s someone I could even get to stop by that could help water while I’m away ☺️
@@plantsbymelissa Gotcha! I'm leaving for a few days and I have a variegated micans I'm worried about I'm just gonna wrap what I can in plastic wrap and hope for the best!
I love the repot me brand pots! I use a 6 inch for larger poles :) I get them off of amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B004IRBZX2?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzmeli0992-20&creativeASIN=B004IRBZX2&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.2Q7LRSOZIGHH7&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin
I can’t wait to see how much bigger those leafs get. It’s already by far the largest leafs I’ve seen on a marble queen.

Thank you! You’re very welcome! I can’t wait for her to grow more but she’s doing well! ☺️
You were so nervous doing this but look at her now (Sept 2023). Definitely worth the stress. 😊

Love the plants, the kitties, your sweater, and I totally relate to the face you make when you cut the plant. Subscribing!
Aww thank you so much! 🥹 it was so hard to chop but had to be done lol. You’ll see a lot of kitties on my channel and thank you for being here! 💚

Melissa the final result looks so pretty :)
Thank you! She’s doing so well!! 🙌🏼
Don't be sad dear haha, they'll grow faster and bigger. They looks like monstera when final mature. They grows wild in my backyard ☕🥰
It would be a dream to have a big one growing up outside lol 🙌🏼🥹
Awesome! Going to have to do this to dubia soon.
Thank you! Those are so pretty climbing! I still haven’t decided if I want one yet but the big leaves are so cool 🙌🏼
You inspired me. Such a beautiful marble queen you have.
Can you make a video about fertilizer and nutrition for plants? Thank you
Thank you! 🥰 the only fertilizer I use is slow release but that’s an area I’m still learning myself. So much information!
Love it, thx
How do you get a pothos to put out such big leaves?
I am thinkin about doing this to my Marble Queen. How high is you pole at the end of the video, around 32:55?
It’s so beautiful! How sturdy is this moss pole in the pot with no support except the soil? They dont fall over easily?
Thank you! The wire poles are pretty sturdy! The bigger leaves up top can cause them to get a little top heavy so using a stake helps and having a heavier pot on the bottom stabilizes it some more ☺️
Love your videos … can you plz share where you got the wire for your moss pole? Thank you 🙏🏻
I get my wire from ace hardware! I can’t find the 3 feet in height from Amazon :(

@@plantsbymelissa thank you for answering Melissa. That makes sense. I’m sorry if that was a dumb question. Lol
How do you go about keeping the moss pole moist when you're gone for vacation for example? Like if you're gone for more than a few days

🥰
What is the diameter of the pot being used?
it's about 6 inches for the pot size, I get them off amazon :)
Just like a baby.. Luna puts everything in her mouth 🤣
😂😂😂 yes!! She tries to eat my fingers all the time lol
That’s epipremnum or pothos?
👋 hello
Can anyone please tell me the size of the pot she used ? Thanks in advance
