    Wow, I can't believe this! Both of you are extremely inspiring to me in very different ways. Both your uniqueness and how well you get along is something special. My mother's published three books, two were novels, and maybe I'm partly influenced by that, but I'm also influenced by you lot. I feel my heart is calling out to me to be an author. I just wanna spend my days reading, learning, exploring, and writing, and packaging and communicating all that I know to others in a beautiful little package (a book).
    I'm very heavily inspired by your example Ryan, and encouraged and inspired by Ali's journey these past few years. God, I can't stop talking now hhhhh. I've really enjoyed this podcast! Thank you for making it 🙏

      How are you progressing on the path of being an author?

    • @pixelart0124
      @pixelart0124 Рік тому

      @@tinkywinky4449 Not at all. I'm pulled in all different directions by things, like financial necessity, mental health, etc. I have a lot to sort through in my life, and I don't know in what way the pieces will eventually settle.
      But I really value the part of me that wants to write. I'm gonna try to make space for it in my life one day.
      For now, health and mental health are my focus, and starting a tech consultancy business for financial purposes (primarily, but not entirely, I'm passionate about it and skilled at it).

    autonomy is the goal for every human being with no doubts. authors and self managers with no salary caps or rules is the best way to scratch that itch for us i think.

    In the world of music I see people getting hung up on the systems. Thinking they need specific guitars, amplifiers, strings and equipment to make music like a particular hero of theirs. When actually that person was just working with what they had at the time and the hard work was what created their art.

    Great interview, thank you. Ali Abdaal, glad he took some time off from medicine and work on his side hustle (UA-cam, Skillshare, etc). Now he can practice medicine as he wants, not just for money. Excited for what he does next.

      There's nothing to do next, this strategy is make videos, make as much money possible maybe leverage that with a book deal, gtfo.. It's not a very deep life, I don't see the appeal.

      I think a lot of people are reforming their ideas of what it means to work. With that said, yes there is an air of "what can I get away with" but that might not be so bad.

      @@abel5333 well not wanting to work is not bad, but it does make you think if it would count as “success” or productive

    If he says I used to be a DR and now I am UA-cam means he is not confidence with his new title UA-camr and he is seeking validation through his last title from the people.personaly I have a degree in computer science and I have a degree in architecture and now I do delivery and if people ask me what do you do I said delivery I Don't need to explain my self to get validation.

    People want to be happy. What is the point of being so productive if it makes you so unhappy. Almost every wealthy friend confides to me how lonely and unhappy they feel. They want to connect with less wealthy people like me to feel connected and happy.
