    For sure considering buying this electric weed eater, it’s lighter put powerful enough for my lawn, I have close to a half acre front and back at home. Better than some electric weed eaters I looked at in terms of run time and cutting performance. Thx for the video.

    I got this and used it for the first time today. It worked pretty good!

    Great video. Thanks. Glad ppl like you do these videos. I can make an informed decision when i buy these things. The one line trimmer is a no go for me and the string feed system isnt something im a fan of from the video. I will use craftsman rp stuff it seems decent but this ismt one of them. Thanks again and take care

    I have this, and it's pretty good. My property isn't big (40x150) and the battery and power are fine. My only two issues are 1) having to hold the safety button and the trigger at the same time to operate starts to make my grip tire. 2) I feel like there may be a battery moderator because if use for awhile it starts to slow, so you have to pump it, on off on off a bit. I don't know if that's an overheating protection or something, but it's definitely noticeable. Agree on the edging, not great for that. Great review!

      Thanks. There may be a battery moderator. I haven't had that issue. I do like the power and reach though

      I’ve had this issue today and I replaced it with charged battery it worked for about 5 minutes then slowed then stopped.. my thoughts it overheated… the feed button is soooo stupid the button stops the machine if I barely push it the line barely feeds out…

      @@matthewsalvador9783 yup, exactly my experience. Glad someone else noticed it. I admit, I only use the fastest speed but still it gets annoying after a bit with the slowing down. Same on the feeder too, not ideal. Ive actually had to pull on the line because the feeder didn't give enough.

      Just got this so dumb compared to the cheap black n decker auto feeed I had but way more power

    • @SkunkyBrew
      @SkunkyBrew 2 місяці тому

      @@skylermummert24 Yeah power isn't too bad, it's fine for grass and very light shrubs. The auto feed is ok, not great. I guess you get what you pay for.🤷

    Follow up question a year later. I have the 900 that they say has a 40in. shaft, and they say the RP has a 35in. shaft, but in every photo the RP looks as long as the 910. Do you have any familiarity between the different offerings to say which is longer?

    • @cetoolden
      @cetoolden  2 місяці тому

      I do not as I just have the rp version. I'll have to look into this

    • @FyrFytr998
      @FyrFytr998 2 місяці тому

      I went out to the garage and measured the 900. Not sure where the 40inch number comes from. From the top of the motor, the only time you hit 40 is if you measure to the trigger.

    I have one its a great trimmer but the rp line is considered their top tier "professional" tool line according to their press releases.The head they chose in my opinion is a wrong choice it should have been a 2 line and replaceable when it wears out Like their other brushless model. This seams like a step down for them.

    When you say it’s awkward to flip over as an edger, what do you mean? I have read that it’ll turn off when flipped upside down, is that true? Would you recommend this If a person wants to be able to do hedging?

    • @cetoolden
      @cetoolden  3 місяці тому +1

      ergonomically when trying to edge with this it's a naturally uncomfortable position to edge. haven't experienced this shutting down upside down but never tried that. for hedging, I recommend a hedge trimmer instead.

    • @saintunivers8887

      I have the same one and yes it does shut off when upside down , which sucks cause i started edging my lawn and i think the battery is messed up now due to being upside down
      Either that or the battery looses charge a lot faster when upside down , which i think is more likely the case

    I have a button to feed trimmer line on my electric corded craftmens trimmer but no this model, for some strange reason. Maybe it feed itself, I can't find any info on it.

    After a few months would you still recommend this trimmer and blower? I’m considering getting into the line. Thanks.

    • @cetoolden
      @cetoolden  10 місяців тому +1

      yes I do. have worked great for me. but like I said in the video if you want to do edging this trimmer won't be the best at it as it would be an awkward angle. the blower I use every time and no issues.

    Would the Craftsman 2.0Ah batteries fit in this as well? (the slimmer ones for their power drills)

    • @cetoolden
      @cetoolden  7 місяців тому +2

      Yes but you'll go through the battery very quickly. I recommend at least a 4ah battery

      The lawn tools need a 6.0 or 9.0 battery if want to feel their full potential. Those sizes have premium battery cells inside.

      Yes I can not figure out the string feeder. I’ve always had a bump feed. When I push the button nothing.
      Even bought the pre wrapped craftsman brand string next to the trimmer. Still can’t figure it out and now trying to figure it out on UA-cam.

      Haven't had any string feed issues with my trimmer. I press the button, the string comes out and that's it. The string reels are also super easy and fast to change. Takes less than a minute once to swap one out after you learn how to do it.

      This is a great trimmer for the homeowner. I like the reach it has because of the angle for hard to reach areas like under my shed.

      @@saintunivers8887hey just got mine recently and I seen another comment but I noticed when I try to edge where I’m holding it at an awkward angle on its side almost upside down it cuts off and that’s a touchy feature they have in case of accidents and it cuts off when tipped over or upside down
