    Thank you VERY much!! I am never going to win “ Yard of the Month”, but I actually enjoy yard work. This was a very clear video & I really appreciate it.

    Looking into a 13in electric weedeater and leaf blower combo kit from Lowes, I’m tired of using gas powered weedeaters, to much I’ve maintained over the yrs. I’ve owned 3 2stroke weedeaters since my early 20s, and they all had some flaws, that’s why I’m going all battery powered. Much appreciated wuth these recommendations

    How long does it usually take to fully charge the battery?

      Thanks for the question, I just recorded a video for it to find out myself! The 2amp battery took 34 min on a 2amp charger, and 57 min on the smaller 1.25amp charger. 2 2amp batteries lasted about 25min on the v20 mower.

    I bought the 3 spool refill pack one time and a bunch of bulk string. It’s not hard to restring the 4 spools and save some money. 200feet of $12 string vs. 3 spools at +$20 a pop. Not hard math to figure out.

    Why not demonstrate the edging feature?

    I have the 13” one I love the fact that it’s lightweight and I can adjust the pole length, works great.

    You can choose a different type of line, I'm on my second line.

    This is a great tutorial. Very new to trying to maintain my rental house yard. Just made my purchase yesterday and watching your video has helped. Have never used a weedwhacker before. Usual labor is crawling around on hands and knees to pull up weeds from a rather expansive back and front yard. However, I am still one step away from returning it because it doesn't have a button to feed the line and thus far have to manually adjust. Anyway, your video has helped me better understand my purchase. Thanks bunches. Blessings!

    How does the automatic line feeder work does do you need to do anything?

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  4 місяці тому

      You shouldn’t have to do anything but a few people have been commenting on here that they’ve had problems with it. Mine always worked well but I got rid of it recently since I didn’t need 2 for one house.

    I bought the 10” it runs for a couple of seconds then stops, im not sure if it is because the battery is not fully charged or if im doing something wrong

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  4 місяці тому

      Sounds like something wrong with the unit - I doubt you’re doing something wrong with it. I’d bet it’s the battery not the weed whacker. I’ve heard of similar issues with the mower but more along the lines of running for a few minutes then stopping. Hopefully you’ve got the receipt for it?

    • @stanmoney8470
      @stanmoney8470 3 місяці тому

      Having the same issue,my battery is fully charged so it's not the battery. I don't know what the hell is it!

    Unsure if i heard incorrectly but the 10" actually worked better than the 13"?

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  3 місяці тому +1

      A 2 pack is a little under $60 on Amazon right now, and it looks like you can use an adapter for craftsman to worx that’s about $20

    What causes the battery to run hot? It stops working and you can’t charge it until it cools down

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  Місяць тому

      If it’s really hot outside or if the battery is old/damaged it might cause it. I’ve had it happen with the circular and jig saws where it gets really hot just from pushing the motors.

    How well does the little one edge? Like if i have dirt over the side walk will it take care of it

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  4 місяці тому

      They do pretty well if you can keep the string from hitting concrete. The hardest part with the little one is that it’s a pretty small string size and goes quick

  • @stanmoney8470
    @stanmoney8470 3 місяці тому

    Mines runs for 5 seconds with hand on trigger, with a full battery charge , then kills! Why does this happen???

  • @Brucether
    @Brucether 3 місяці тому +1

    How do you get the string to come out on the smaller one?

  • @thegaminggemini317

    Always wounder if its easyer to cut grass with all electric mower over a gas mower

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  4 місяці тому

      For small yards definitely way easier. Gas will always be tougher and I’ll bet longer lasting too

      I’ve never run out of battery using it around the yard. I have run out on the 2Ah after doing the whole house, front/back, edging, etc, and then hooking it up to the blower. Just made a video that two 2Ah batteries lasted for 22 min on the push mower

    I have the smaller 10in. It actually does adjust but the grey button is at the business end near the shield. Do they take the same size line/spool?

    • @TheIceColdGarage
      @TheIceColdGarage  5 місяців тому +2

      No the 10” is .065” but it’s in the same size spool. Bigger 13” one uses .08”
