I love watching your videos. Please don't take this comment as a criticism, I had the exact thing happen to me. I feel you need to buy a 1/4 " foot to gett more accurate sewing even thought most of your sewing is perfect. I too was using the stackable stickies you are using. To a point they work perfect, Watch your videos and keep an eye on when the triangle tail leaves the stickey stack and you will see it curve in when it has nothing to follow, this is exactly what happened to me. When you use a 1/4 foot with the bar that the material follows it is with you all the way through the throat plate, past where the sticky pads ends. Watch and see. Thank you for your time in making the videos they are so helpful.
I love the fabric and the block. I just wanted to tell you that I got lots of compliments on my seasonal quilt that we followed along on ! Thank you for sharing
Thank you for your videos I have made 3 Harry Potter quilts, thanks to your videos!!! plus one strawberry Shortcake with the 14 inch squares!! I am very new at this and so appreciate your guidance.. will be joining your channel soon thanks again
Your seam guide piece, or painters tape can be cut smaller to just stick onto your bobbin cover to prevent your seam from traveling bigger or smaller at each end. I have designated painters tape I just cut with a box cutter, several layers thick, just for this purpose. When it doesn't stick anymore, I score the sticky side with a pin and use that same pin to remove a layer. Waahlaa, It's brand new sticky. You'll still be able to see your bobbin and have your 1/4" seam guide closer to your needle. I've also just marked the bobbin cover with a fine tip marker. Your guide your using needs washed to stick like new again. Your fabric slides underneath it, on occasion, making your seam go fatter. Just some tips I do. Hope this helps any who might consider since I've had the same issues. Love your teaching skills. You can warp your cutting mat, underneath your ironing pad. I've done this on a new mat. What an expensive mishap. I wonder if I add potholder silver lining to the back with the silver lining to the ironing pad if that would reflect the heat enough. The felt like side to the outside would also make it a small design mat. Lol, solved my own issue woohoo. Let me know how you prevent this? Keep teaching, it's a blessing!!!! Babs near Tombstone AZ
I have tape under the seam guide, that’s why it is coming up😏I will replace it soon as I have noticed it but am usually filming! My pressing mat is Cricut brand and they have a bottom layer that pushes the heat back towards the top instead of through the bottom. The tape is a great idea so I’ll have to try it!
Don't know if I'll make the premiere but LOVE how this block turned out. I've been liking your other ones too but this one caused a wow just scrolling through my feed :)
If you change that corner red to be a different color, you'd get a totally different look. Double friendship star and framing your work.... I gotta try this too
hello i love the way you teach how to use a ruler, did you mention what fabric line you used. ? i love it when the you tube video show mistake cause it's all good
I only have the one block pattern up on my channel but you just have to decide how. If you want the quilt! I personally would make it 4 x 5 or 5 x 6 without sashing
Just learning to quilt so I’ve been watching your blocks and practicing by making different blocks. Thank you so much for showing how to use a ruler.
