    I have been eating carnivore for around 4 months .. ups and downs, tweaking it here and there. I will say it’s important to have a variety of different meats and cuts to form a meal.
    I’m also down to 1 meal a day due to the elimination of sugar. I make sure my meat choices have a good amount of fat, giving my body the fuel it needs instead of sugar or carbs.
    No bread, pasta, rice , fruit or vegetables. Just pork, lamb, fish, beef, liver, a bit of aged cheese if I’m a bit peckish like aged cheddar. Don’t worry about calorie counting .. your body will drop weight like crazy.. feed your body fat not sugar or carbs !
    I lost 18kg in 8 weeks !

      18kg in 8 weeks? Just wow! I found that by breading the lower fat meats with pork crackle I'm getting an uptick in fat and satisfaction. Now tempted to simply buy wagyu fat and have it as a side dish along with bacon. My month and change off milk and cheese was very productive, and try not to snack on cheese throughout the day.

    You are 100% right Tony! I’m 53, carnivore for the past 3 years. I’ve not been as healthy and felt so good in my entire life. Was 135+kg, over 100kg by year 9 in high school. Now been steady at 93kg for the past 2 years. All my skin issues gone as a bonus. As you mentioned the only regret was why the hell didn’t I get onto carnivore sooner in life.

    • @TonyLocantroFinance
      @TonyLocantroFinance 28 днів тому

      I'm 53 next month and hopeful that by not going back to my old habits I'll stay in the 83-86kg range. It's not going to work for everyone but we're both proof it can have major positive changes and benefits you can't see. I've noticed that I don't burn in the sun as easily as prior to going carnivore, but will still balance my sunlight just in case. Congratulations on your progress!

    I lost 10 kilos and have basically kept it off. Im extremelt disciplined. If you stop eating junk food youll take 6 to 8 weeks to get used to it. Eventually your body will not crave things like tim tams. I barely drink alcohol. I exercise 2.5 hours a day. Successful weight loss is very difficult. Only 5% of people succeed long term.

    Italians also live long lives. They eat a lot of carbohydrates. Arguably the key to it is a balanced diet and avoiding processed foods. I don't see a problem with bread and pasta in moderation. Significantly if you bake/prepare it yourself with the grains sourced organically/pesticide free. However, congratulations, Tony. I'm sure a healthier body and mind will also lead to good decision making in a mentally demanding environment.

      "Italians" as a blanket term is very naive. Chronic metabolic diseases like diabetes have risen dramatically in the last 40 years. It's no coincidence that the southern Italian town with the lowest pasta consumption and the highest oily fish consumption also has the highest life expectancy.

      The Japanese on Okinawa island live the longest in the world. The traditional Okinawa diet is low in calories and fat while high in carbs. It emphasizes vegetables and soy products alongside occasional - and small - amounts of noodles, rice, pork, and fish. Tony's diet may work well for him, but we should see how it plays out over time.

    Changing my diet saved me from debilitating back pain, nerve pain, joint pain, muscle pain, digestive issues, raised blood pressure, 20kg over weight. It took around 8 months for all these problems to resolve. I'm completely pain free and never felt and looked healthier.
    Since 2020 I've only been eating fatty meats, seafood, eggs and dairy.
    Prior to that I was eating the mainstream version of a healthy diet (lots of veggies, fruit, whole grains, low fat, eating the rainbow etc) for decades and watching my health slowly decline.
    Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Paul Mason, Dr Ken Berry, Dr Shawn Baker, Dr Gary Fettke, Dr Benjamin Bikman, Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, all helped me with this journey.

    They've lied to us just about everything, including the proper human diet! I went full carnivore 6 months ago. I lost 13 pounds (was on a ketovore diet before) and today, I weight the same when I first met my wife 40 years ago I even put on some muscles. I eat beef, lamb, eggs, butter, lots of fat and I only drink water (or sparkling water). Only use salt for seasoning. I eat one meal a day but if I get hungry, I always have some boiled eggs and small cooked hamburgers in the frigde. 1 minute in the microwave, 2 boiled eggs topped with butter... there you go!

    I've been sugar-free since 2010 and carnivore since November (2023). I haven't drunk alcohol since 1988 (except for an occasional soda lime and bitters).
    Since going carnivore, my joint pains have gone and almost all my back pain has now disappeared. I don't get "digestion issues" when I'm strictly on meat (& eggs).
    I haven't been to a gym for 15 years... I just stay moderately active.

But I couldn't maintain it as I love a variety of food and then ended up gaining weight as the carbs stick to you if you've been on carnivore. Cutting alcohol back to near zero and keeping to OMAD (one meal a day) has worked very well for me.

    Follow a similar method to Amish lifestyle. On rising Big coffees, no sugar or fat added, 2x bier steins of warm water and 3x mugs of green tea in following hours, then go outside and work for 2 to 3 hours, thereby delaying breakfast and burning huge amounts of fat and getting hydrated also. Went from 94kgs to 69kgs and can run faster than most 18 year olds at 55. All white lights, TV and phone out 2 hours before sleep and switch to 'U boat' red light/goggles to commence shut down to sleep. Electric blankets prevent arthritis, use them. He briefly mentioned the Bluezones diet but dismissed it without saying why. Seems the carnivore diet is probably good for weight loss, but long term effects remains to be seen.

    • @12angryrealists
      @12angryrealists 28 днів тому

      The blue zones are a construct that have been debunked by numerous researchers. Okinawans eat a lot of pork. Sardinians eat plenty of lamb and pork and cheese. The Greek islanders eat plenty of lamb and sheeps milk cheese. Costa Ricans chickens and goat etc. Reality is Hong Kong has a higher life expectancy than all blue zones and also has one of the highest meat consumptions on the planet.
      Have you ever wondered why a suburb of greater LA is included in the blue zones? Dr. Fetke was ostracised for helping diabetic patients go keto and improve health outcomes. His wife, a registered nurse starting researching the money and influence and opened the lid on a particular religious group who over the last 150 yrs has managed to infiltrate nutrional guidellines panels in the US, Australia and Europe either directly or through sponsorship of their affiliate companies. They had several members on the WHO panel that reviewed the metanalysis in the 2015 study that classified processed meat as a carinogen despite a very weak associative correlation. None disclosed their anti-meat religious ideology as a bias.

    OMG, this smart man has done his research!!! Now he is an expert and telling all about it. Let’s just take a step back and ask ourselves has the carnivore algorithm also highjacked your mind. There is no secret - calories in vs calories out. That is factual on human randomized trails. In fact long term studies also indicate the need for fiber. If you have a healthy system it’s good. Yes carnivore helps with certain things but it should in most people be used as an absolute. It should be used as a tool to help reach a goal or allow for some healing. The issues with this is people are going to start it and have no clue what they are doing. Take no bloods, no stool tests, just jump on -

RCT's are used to control and test for a specific outcome. They are not used to compare the energy pathways in the body e.g. the way different types of calories are processed whether from carbs( fructose, glucose etc) through glycolysis or fatty acids (SCT's, MCT's, poly, saturated etc) through ketosis etc. There are studies that do that. To keep things simple however, start with the studies that measure energy transfer from different carbs alone. Google/pubmed etc are your friend.
