    things I love to use
Smoked salts are the finishing touch but I do use Himalayan Pink salt for dry brining and as a general salt so all the below are a final topping
if I had to suggest just ONE it would be one of the Maldon
    Maldon Salt
    *Smoked: amzn.to/454Jqnp
    *Regular: amzn.to/3Ki4Bup
    SanFrancisco Salt Co.
My favorite flavor is Alder, especially for fish!
    Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt: amzn.to/44WO86E
Apple Wood Smoked Sea Salt: amzn.to/474iFS2
    Hickory Smoked Sea Salt: amzn.to/3OtInbp
Pans I use when not grilling as I prefer Carbon Steel over cast iron!
*De Buyer Mineral B 12.5” carbon Steel pan: amzn.to/44HuPPf
Mineral B Carbon Steel Omelette Pan pan amzn.to/3OcLB1s
I want to try the Matfer Bourgeat: amzn.to/3Du0M1g

Hello I have heard of it but not super common but does for sure happen so you are not alone and more in the start of the start of this journey like you are feeling
I would try to check with some doctors that are keto carnivore friendly if its concerning for sure
also not sure your current condition size weight etc... and what you are eating in this first week your routine etc... any prior issues extreme diabetes or prior heart issues etc... of course can all matter some so this is just me kind brain dumping for you :) and of course NOT a doctor just trying to share my experience so if its serious or you have some prior conditions there are great doctors out there that are proper human diet friendly
one to check out on YT and get some info from is Dr Ovadia
      ovadiahearthealth.com/
just to you have some info and maybe some info to bring in to a doctor in your back pocket you could say :)
some info out there if you google and you can see OK I am not alone :)
but its usually getting into ketosis and using that for energy as our bodies change we do experience things change
most common would be not enough salt or electrolytes being needed and or dehydration )those kinda get wrapped into one thing) are common causes with the later being a big one since we lower the carbs and by nature do not hold as much water and so much changing not saying to over drink but do make sure you are drinking enough in the start and for salting I stick by the salt to taste your food
also salt and sodium are not the same thing sodium is in salt and something we need hence the electrolytes and also some do better on certain electrolytes than others based on those mineral contents
i was fortunate and just using pink salt I did fine and while I tried electrolytes for a month I never needed them again this is all so personal but I was salting my food way more than I used to but again it was to taste NOT salting and thinking YUK to much salt I would take a bit and think OK a bit more another bite and be OK a bit more as to not overdo it at first either
some will say take electrolytes which is fine but do not overdo them either so just take the 1 serving a day maybe and see how you feel and then if you need to adjust some more or less because some folks do need a bit more and some like myself never needed them ;) does take a bit of personal balancing
just like the fat to protein ratio of what we eat over time I take in less fat than I was and feel great but in the start I was super heavy toward the fat side and was one of those consuming fatty meat with almost a stick of butter a day and thriving now butter is pretty rare for me
hope that helped and please post how its going (might have to start a new post as replies to current can get lost as they sometimes do not notify me but feel free to post back to this so folks reading this can reply
also going to pin this for a bit so I hope others might come across and help you out
truly am passionate about this as it change my life and wish you the best and always here to share what I can

I had the same thing. I've just finished day 21.
I've had all sorts of unwell feelings; from muscle ache, suffering, feeling faint, heart palpitations, coughing (diagnosed with scaring on lungs), nausea (meat aversion).
With the meat aversion, I made sure my electrolytes were at optimum levels and ate leaner meat until it went!
Today, day 21, I'm having mental fights in my head!

@susanwebstersyoutube2385 I was diagnosed at 17, and for over 20 years, it progressively got worse. I was at the point that getting up in the morning and walking was difficult. The meds shaved off the pain but didn't eliminate it. I was desperate for relief. So I went looking for information on anything that might help, and I found Dr Caffee. Within the first week, maybe two. This way of eating already did better than any medication. 3 months in, and I am in no pain, taking zero meds. Yes, it affected me. I was rapidly becoming crippled.

Was definitely in need of a channel I could recommend to my friends. You are now at the top of my list! God is good!!

Thank you so much. First channel that is not pushing organ meat, 2 lbs of beef ,a stick of butter etc etc. I am on my 38 day of the carnivore journey and Like it. I am taking it a day at a time, loving my coffee and cheese (oooooooooh), Did keto prior so it was easier to transition.
No cravings and not hungry. Like you I ding chicken tasteless now and not wanting it. For now I will stick to beef, (oh yes eggs and bacon and pork sausage lol)..
    Cheers

      thanks
and NOPE not pushing that and kick me in the head if i do please :)
I think organ mest is fine if you like it but has to be in proportion to what the animal gives! so that is TINY % not this OH I eat a lb a week thing :)
or maybe Ok in the start IF you felt deficient in something but I know not all ancient people ate the organs either and some did out of not wasting some gave them to their dogs etc.. :)
I did eat lots of butter early on but phasing out butter now to test and did try and the more I test the more I think it's just to get clicks sadly? and some do I think want to test but I think everyone should test themselves and sure I am going to end up being like a broken record but test find what works for you :) hahhaha
like the sardine thing going around and who knows what's coming
OK sure it's fine but really I do not think the Native Americans were eating sardines vs buffalo! and did amazing or in the PNW eating whale, salmon shellfish and deer, and some seasonal berries
, and now more than ever I would say OK but can you live on ONLY can sardines and be healthy?
if not why bother making it some odd fast?
yeah like you the Keto before I do think helps and really think its not a bad way to get into this
      cheers to you too :)

Thanks for the tips. I had some "snaking, grazing" cravings last night. Not even for anything in particular, just to be eating something. Hard boiled eggs and frozen cream are great ideas. Thanks for touching on coffee as well. I don't think I could give that up yet but I am curious to try further down the line. Nice to hear you got an even greater improvement from that. I'm only a week in and I've already seen an improvement in my sleep and overall mood (that was immediate). I feel way sharper for way longer, without that midday/afternoon lull. It's been a insane improvement after only a week, I wasn't expecting it to be so noticeable so soon. Flip side, my stomach as been pretty sore most of the time and I've had on and off nausea (one episode of vomiting, I think because I ate too much fat), a complete lack of apatite while at the same time feeling like I'm starving to death (super weird combo). I can't wait to adjust properly. I'm really expecting great things now :)

thanks the coffee thing ? I never thought I would but yeah from a commercial machine guy with flat and conical grinders for the bean types and a insane cool cafelaat robot for the manual experience I never wanted to ! and as I say I tried and failed till year 2 and then it just happened nothing no withdrawals etc.. so test once in a while and decide and I do say if you can with no issues for me better sleep better sustained energy better recovery but if those do not happen I might honestly be a bit jealous as others would and just do what works for you is my thoughts :)
best of luck for sure !

I am in my first month of this journey. Thank you for the information and tips!!! My problem is I have many food allergies and sensitive. The only meat I can eat is turkey, egg whites and salmon. Pork gives me so much swelling as well as beef. Though I am trying different grass fed beef brands hoping that one will not cause any symptoms. My struggle is making sure I get enough fat each day. After about a week I am finding my cravings slowly going away while not denying myself of any foods I crave. I feel so much better and am improving each day with less pain and stiffness. Losing weight would be nice but I am tickled pick of how well I am feeling.
    Thank you!!

    • @MinimalistCarnivore
      @MinimalistCarnivore  Рік тому +2

actually being allergic to beef is pretty rare and associated with a tick bite usually :)
it might be some histamine response that is getting you?
but yeah I have severe allergies so don't do spices etc.
      few thoughts :)
so beef or meat that is not aged is best lamb or goat? as often that is not wet aged like beef?
avoiding longer cooked foods like roasts is always good
or try a local rancher and see if you can get some beef that would not be aged might be some tips
I do think many look to much at only weight and realize this can offer so much more and the weight will come off just takes time but enjoy the other wins of feeling better from joints to mental clarity etc..
tough spot but sounds like you are figuring it out :) best of luck for sure !

may I ask how or why is it hard to stay with ?
what are you eating and what is the goal ?
for the last one often its weight loss it was with me :) but even on those stall days I did think WOW my sleep is better I am feeling better and clothing is fitting better etc....
I think sometimes we focus so much on just the weight and we want that to be gone so also focus on those other things :)
if its just the hard not to snack that is a tough one and a few little tricks I did like the frozen cream in silicone molds
or making a waffle out of pork rinds and egg :) I would take pork rinds and crush them to a panko crumb consistency and then maybe use a heaping spoon full and a egg mix it together had this little dash waffle maker its like 4 inches and then put the mixture in there :)
you can put in pepperoni and mozzarella for a pizza flavor
or bacon and chedar and they make a great bun for a burger if craving that !
or use them for eggs Benedict !

I, too get nothing from chicken, turkey and pork. I am in my 4th week and have suffered miserably with cravings. Each time I have eaten the thing I think I can not live without - I have paid dearly with headaches, indigestion or insomnia. It is an amazing journey discovering what foods do to me. I am hanging in there but I can say it is not pleasant. When I stay true to the diet I can sleep through the night - which is major for me. I am still on coffee but know I will have to give that up as well. The deprivation is difficult. I also find that when I eat until I am full - to control cravings - I am too full and suffer from overeating. It is all a learning process. I will keep on trying to find my balance. My "why" is to achieve better health and well being. Weight loss would be a definite plus. I have lost 3 pounds at the end of 3 weeks.

I have said sometimes testing or trying foods takes away the back of the mind do I still like this as I say takes away all doubt that you might like something
And if you do then you know you HAVE to stay away and maybe can test again and find out one day that will also be gone
But does seem more things hurt than crave when testing later I have found
And the power we develop along the way of so many NOT being good or feeling that little bit of whatever again makes us stronger to resist
So I am all for testing things IF you truly know yourself and WONT get sucked back in :)
And the chicken pork thing is interesting you notice that quickly but does show for me and you and others
Something about it is not for us :)
To the over eating I reckon that might come in time as it sounds like you know whats happening :)
      Thanks again :)

I had already started going keto and had slipped back into old snacking habits. Got back into eating better and found carnivore. I'm one week in.
The only red meat I had eaten before was a couple burgers a month. Otherwise I was on chicken breast and veggies mostly. I'm finding the red meat super filling I'm eating like once or twice a day, probably only around half a pound each time.
My joints feel so much better and I experience amazing brain clarity.
I'm lucky to have already trained myself out of sweets and had already discovered the benefits of not drinking coffee.
I hope the journey continues along smoothly. Feels great so far.

I also say how long did it take you to get where you are now form when you were in better shape ?
9 weeks is nothing to that I bet :) and for me I did not do much the first 4 weeks and many do not and even 7 or 9 or whatever some do not move on the weight but they do have other things happen and tend to focus on the weight more than the other things ;)

My main problem was sugar addiction and using food in the same way an alcoholic uses drink.
Feeling bad I would eat stuff to feel better which I did momentarily and then suffer regret and feel worse than I did.

I started carnivore exactly 4 weeks ago, coming from keto. I also do alternate day fasting which I just started this week, as I am getting down to the last 20 lbs or so that I want to lose. I will say... I was shocked as how much I had the carnivore flu considering I was coming from keto, but even dropping from 20 to virtually 0 net carbs a day, I had a terrible reaction for a few days due to electrolyte imbalances. I had shaking, confusion, panic attacks, muscle twitching and heart palpitations. I also realized that the magnesium I got was minimum of three pills a day, and I was only taking one, so my magnesium was super low. Once I got my magnesium corrected and salted my water for a few days, I started to feel soooo much better. Right now, the struggle is sleep. I know with fasting, that can be an issue and it hopefully will resolve sooner rather than later. But now, I feel calmer and more at ease, and the energy is great. Just gotta get a full night of sleep at some point! 😅

Interesting how you had so much keto flu going carnivore while mine was only at the start of the keto and was smooth coming into carnivore :)
So thanks again this is the sharing all that we all experience so others can see its NOT all the same we each have our own unique journey :)
I never did electrolytes but did salt quite heavy which was to my taste at the time also ate a ton of nuts that had salt ?
Does seem electrolytes are something that folks need or seem to get along without which again is interesting and good to know for others
Hope the sleep starts to get better :) and curious if you are drinking coffee at all ?
For me that was a game changer in time I slept but carnivore overall helped me sleep longer and did find those full 7-8 hour sleeping nights are superior to the lower hours which I can do BUT again not as good as the 7-8 that I do best with
Superior in I feel better all day long also do feel I could workout or hike better and do think I lost more weight on those good sleep weeks but that is just me thinking no actual data but there is some data out there that shows sleep is HUGE for weight loss :)

That's so good advice about converting cream into an ice-cream like treat.
I actually hardly use cream or double cream even though I always love the taste. Even though it has very little sugar in it, it always tastes like a desert.
Now I started Keto on the way to Carnivore, I'm going to experiment with single and double cream in my tea as a milk replacement.
I did several searches and there is conflicting information on which has more carbs and sugar between single and double cream but it seems double cream has slightly less.
Also, in your talks I think it would be helpful in your videos when you mention how it would be good to eventually phase out foods like cheese and coffee if you could explain why for those of us just starting on the journey and still don't know the nutritional/diet factors of each food type.

yeah, it really helped me get through it and now don't crave it or care :) but giving up stuff can be tough and that comfort is a huge mental thing :) easy to say " Oh, just quit but for some it's tough :) hahahahah
not as familiar with the single or double? but the whipping cream as we call it is often the better more fat less lactose and better than the less fatty stuff :)
will try to convey that more so thanks :)
I think the main reason is just so you truly KNOW if it is what is bugging you or stalling or you have some other effect and then you can decide if you want to quit or enjoy it ! or maybe find you can enjoy it in small amounts and not be affected
so maybe to say test if and know for sure what it's doing or not doing to you :)
and I do say repeat that every year as I noticed long term some things I did get in such good shape I now notice those negatives more
my analogy might be playing a musical instrument When you first start most anything will do and you cant tell the difference of an expensive instrument but as you get better you also might realize you like certain ones that have a certain sound for whatever reason :) not a guitar guy but had friends who are and I know they are very particular
hope that analogy made some sense :)

As a cake baker its been a challenge when an order comes in. I have decided to stop baking and stop taking orders because even tthinking about a cake design seems to stall my progress. Yhe last cake i made was my daughters q7th moss mushroom fairy cake its was amazing. A white chocolate myd cake and white chocolate genach flavoured with peppermint. I didnt have anything to eat til after the party was over and so much left i felt i should at least taste it to see how it turned out and one small piece went to 2. Then a small piece each day tol it went. It was a big slip up monthand my headaches and body pains straight back and stopped me from leaving home. So i decided it was just another painful lesson clear to remind me of how important living a carnivore diet really is for me. Im healing many auto immune conditions including diabetes so vital i make tough life changing decisions. My health and ultimately my life depends on it. What pthers eat is their business and what i eat is my business. We must be the captian of our own ship and manage what direction to sail and not let the winds of life stall or sidetrack us. Incidentally, Im going into my 5th month now and my resolve and eating patterns are set and im loving the carnivore way and discovering what a real appetite is and how meat, eats, salt, butter satisfy the soul and body best. Im so greatful to now know the secret to a healthy way of eating. I love and apprecaite all the brave and clever youtubers making videos testifying to this winning way. 😊

thanks and very true about our own ship :)
doing a vid on the cheating term :) I am not a fan of it hahahaha but also the fact yeah if we pay the price we learn is how I started to look at it when I was doing keto :)
a bad analogy but kinda works is for some that went to college and put all that money into a degree they never used ! what a waste :) but I do think when they look back they realize it was NOT the degree it was the college life they learned from so as we look back once we are ahead of that treat or down to our goal and maintaining we realize even the slip ups had a purpose we maybe needed to truly learn
      if that makes sense :)

I've watched a ton of these videos and for low energy people say to make sure you're getting enough fat and possibly more importantly that you're getting enough electrolytes. Especially if you've got diarrhea then you're probably dehydrated af. Sodium, potassium and magnesium. I've heard one guy report that once he introduced organ meats into the diet he got all his energy back. The initial shitiness would have been withdrawals, but you should be over the withdrawals by week 3. Keep in mind that like 80-95% of people see improvements in pretty much all areas. But that leaves the 5-20% that don't.

but we have to have a car the way we are where we are but only have the one daughter at 19 work and college I do think we are going to have to break down get another though :)
I need to cut down again on some stuff in life as moving here to mainland a few things got out of control ! but I am doing that! mainly camping gear as I love camping but getting rid of car camping stuff and getting back to just hiking stuff ! and now that I am in shape I CAN hike
when I met my wife I had a 420 sqft place my whole life could fit in 3 bags and a bike box and did not have a car for years ! then wife and I even had our first child in 720 sq ft place I really miss that small essential life and want to get back into that kinda way of life !
the one upside to loosing all this weight and being so stable the clothes that fit now do not wear as much which is a odd thing I noticed so for 2.5 yrs everything has held up quite well

I did not notice I was having reactions earlier (first year of carnivore) as my skin was itchy etc..
NOW if I eat more than about 8 I get super itchy skin like I used to have! when eating other foods
my analogy I did not get more sensitive I was just numb to what they were doing
think of it as having hearing protection on and you cant hear certain noises as you lessen that hearing protection you hear more ;) hope that works !
now I can still eat like 4 and be OK but I can't eat 4 for say 3 weeks! I can eat 12 for 7 days maybe and if I only eat 7 I can do that for two weeks so it's like it builds up in me? but I have severe food allergies :) and never got tested for eggs? not sure why or they did not do it back then?
also if I eat just the yolks I am OK :) so for sure an egg white thing
the BBBE thing if you have heard of that ? worth googling if not I might say make some eggs but make sure you have red meat and play with what ratio works for you?
yeah for me at the over 3.5 year mark never get bored and still look forward to eating whatever I am cooking that day I also found it over time say after that 2 year mark to truly let go of spices and actually just prefer meat with nothing but salt now! the first year I did use spices some !
I still might have a bite of my boy's fajita or taco meat once in a while its more to have a memory of that kinda like hearing an old song you loved from say Highschool days! fun to hear but might not be something you want to listen to all day :)

just found your channel. been on keto/carnivore off and on for 5 years. \
lost over a hundred pounds, cured my type 2, inflammation was gone, felt like a 20 year old and had the strength and flexibility of a 30 year old. everything was great in the healthy range.
this is after a heart attack when i weighted 315 and up pounds.
    bypass of course.
    update!
the last six months, i fell off the carnivore life.
seduced by pizza toppings only. then maybe a small piece of bread. after all, i am a carnivore.
Boom! a 50 pound gain in six months,. did not see it coming, my carb monster was back.
no joke, i was walking by a full length mirror two weeks ago, i looked like i was in the last month of a having a baby
today, i have no idea how much i lost. i stopped weighting myself and only look at results.
so back on keto/carnivore life mission.
a rough start with the keto flu. as my body was screaming for carbs.
two weeks in, i found out when i eat eggs, i get a chest rash.
had it for most of my life.
so it seems i am heading to beef and water plus salt.
had my blood done, numbers are good, yes my cholesterol is high ldl, however my other numbers are great,
type 2 is now around 4.6=5 as long as i leave diet coke alone. really!
i hope it pleases the heavens, i can not have diet coke.

hear attack did start to freak me out when I was over that 275 ! I was afraid honestly
I ask this with as mile but did you go Ok going to be tougher to seduce me into the pizza example and I learned some for next time or do you think its always there ?
I am not sure if I am lucky but I have no desire for any old thing of course I could say OK a slice and who knows but its easy to not even start for me
now some that have issues and does seem they say OK just the topping then one leads to another and soon its the whole pizza cause why not its just some crust
does that make sense ? or kind work to how it creeps up on ya ?
the key is like me I had to learn from that fall and move on :)

69 years old, day 34 here.
Started out with eggs in the a.m. and beef later in the day. First 10 days felt great, then the detox really set in and have pretty much felt like crap since. I believe it is a massive candida die-off issue for me. Could no longer stand the eggs or trying to do 2 meals, so have just been on beef and butter OMAD. Have had a lot of trouble wanting to eat at all, have had to kind of choke down as much beef as possible, often that has not been all that much, but some days it is good and I get a solid amount down without problem. Started taking electrolytes and digestive enzymes about 10 days ago. Just now adding probiotics.
Benefits so far: probably about 20 lbs or so down ( about 60 total needed more or less); zero cravings since the beginning and I was always in a state of food obsession and cravings; psoriasis lessoning, fingernails getting stronger; skin less dry, no more flaky lower legs; sleeping fantastic, lots of REM dreamtime; hips way less sore; no more scratchy throat or phlegm; improved gum health, extreme reduction of hemmorhoids.
Difficulties so far: did have a few days of diarrhea; acid stomach many hours after meal; still some bloating; lots of discharge TMI; aversion to food; absolutely devestating lack of energy, and profound weakness.
clearly more good than bad, and some of the worst of the bad is beginning to lighten up, although the energy remains a big problem. Thankfully I have the time and space to just rest and do my best and allow the process to unfold. Still excited about achieving high quality health!

I can hear this in Dr Chaffee voice :) if the meat is not tasting good stop !
I often would eat very little one day and a ton the next sometimes a lot 3 days and then 3 days of barely
for me its more the eat when hungry and eat to satiety and if that is not a lot and you are truly not hungry I am with many that says that is your body saying dont eat :) so I might suggest that simple if not hungry dont eat dont try to force it and see how it goes :)
20 lbs in 34 days is great !
for the energy weak also many will say try electrolytes as carbs need a ton of water meat not so much so you tend to loose a lot of water and not hold it the same so drink that and plenty water I salted to taste but noticed my body wanted more salt which helped ! for sure a mental shift on those little things we have to go through
yeah the trust the process is so easy to say :) until you are rushing to the head and as Joe Rogan said have jet fuel coming out your bum !
but yeah I have no gallbladder so I know the going to the head all to well as I find the balance and still struggle going over !

@@MinimalistCarnivore Thanks so much for your response! This is such an awesome community! The reason i have forced some bits of food down is because the first time I just didn't feel like food, I followed that advice to just not eat. But when I got up the next morning I had a very frightening episode of suddenly being very woozy, weirded out vision and I nearly passed out. thankfully a chair right there. It was several hours before I could get up and walk across the room very carefully. In the last few weeks, the aversion to food has been more often than not... but I'm not risking that response to extended fasting again.
I think different people will have very different responses to such a big demand for change in the body. I mean, I have no idea what this "oxylate dumping" thing is, but I do know about extreme candida die-off, and how it can put you down. Just gotta ride out the storm, I guess.
I actually think it would be interesting to gather testimonies on the different struggles various people have had and the individual processes and needs for getting through them.

Hi Chad. Nice to "meat" you. 😊 New subscriber.
6 years ago I was 247 pounds and dropped to 184 in 6 months on keto. I have since gone up to around 195 give or take a couple. It's due to caving in to carbs.
Well, today is 3 weeks zero carb. I only eat sardines, bacon, clean brats with no corn syrup, ground beef, and homemade beef jerky. Only drink water. For 2 weeks recently I fasted 16-8. I work out hard 6 days per week and jump rope 7 days per week. I am 69 years old, 5' 10". After all that, I stay at around 195, and I believe that's too heavy. And I have left over belly fat I haven't been able to get rid of from being so heavy before.
I believe I should be losing weight and do not understand why I'm not. I know the brats and homemade beef jerky have spices in them which aren't pure carnivore, but it doesn't seem like that would cause weight loss stalling.
Sorry for the novel. Any thoughts on my situation would be appreciated! Thanks!

I believe I am in month 4 (did not make note of when I started). I had transitioned from Keto to carnivore so I did not have a lot of the issues many have when going straight into carnivore. First thing that happened was my joint pain was gone and my feet no longer hurt. The wait has been melting off! I do not own a scale so I don't know how much I weigh, but when I saw a doctor about a month ago for an insect bite I came in at less than half a pound over 200. (the nurse said that was probably the weight of my clothes so I was under 200 😉) I had not seen that weight for a good many years!
Thankfully, we had a steer butchered late last year. He wasn't huge, a dairy breed, but having him in the freezer helps a lot! Unfortunately, my husband is stuck in his ways. He has been eating the same way all his life and does not have a weight issue. It would be easier (and cheaper) if I could get him on carnivore like me, but he believes his doctors over me.

Ias I say I did not quit coffee till 2 years in :) and then I noticed the difference
if you can great if not do not worry about it tackle that later might be easier as coffee is so hard to stop and its such a part of our lives as a hard core expresso guy I know it was for me
so I really do not think its a huge deal as you are going to have a LOT of change coming so try in a year if you can't try again the next year :) that is how I look at it but at some point say year 3 stop for 3 months (if you can't earlier) and just see how you feel and when you try it again notice how you feel and then decide if you are OK with it or not :)
and even then I might say try once a year and see if you finally notice it
worse case I say you find you can stop and that is a great feeling of being in control of our food drink intake :)
thanks again and you can do this just keep moving forward you hear the expression progress over perfection just keep it moving day by day :)

I think the start just do your best as coffee is tough to kick :) so just enjoy IF you get stalls and things are not moving as well try to stop the cream in the coffee or reduce as an example of changing as we move along the journey
At some point try to stop coffee see how you feel :) and decide to keen enjoying or not
For me was not until 2 years into my carnivore I found coffee was a negative so kept drinking until that time so truly am just day by day and test and evaluate things
I quit eating eggs as I had such bad allergies to them
My recent test now 5 years in I found I can eat them again :) WOW never thought I would be able to do that
Eggs are fine UNLESS you do not feel as good with them so good to try to stop things as you did and see how you feel so good on ya to test and stop the cheese as example for now most likely have quicker results and you can always bring back those items later on and try see how you feel

YUP, I did like seeing it change even if it went up like you I was getting better I often thought WHY?
some weeks HUGE jumps down other times it just barely moved yet the outwardly was constant change for me I found that fascinating!

August 15 will be my 3 month anniversary. 1st month lost 27 lbs. 2nd about 10. No change at all in the 3rd month. Been OMAD since first week. I am now having to experiment to see why i stalled out.

3 months is HUGE so congrats
my first month was slow so WOW 27 is awesome!
In my 2nd I lost about 20 as I remember and then it was down some but did not worry I also say its more about what % you have left so every month for me kinda went down a bit but the % was still good!
many say it's they under eat as to why they stall! also dairy can slow things down?
for me I did kinda think OH I am going to hurry this along and not eat quite as much and go a touch hungry and that stalled me
the idea being your body says OK I am not getting what I need so lets slow down store some of this we are taking in and not use it now (rough idea)
and really I think it's just individual also!

@MinimalistCarnivore I have been adding dairy (butter and cream) the last few days. I think the ribeye just didn't have enough fat. I had been fluctuating between 217-215 for almost a month. Dropped to 213 this morning. I will see how this goes the next few weeks. I am 6' tall, so I think 180ish is the goal. Hopefully that also means the visceral fat will be very low also.

Just wow 😮, I do a lot of mountain climbing / hiking, so I suppose I'm breaking down my body, but NOW rebuilding it with the correct fuel.

You story is really Inspiring!!! My husband and I just started carnivore: 2 weeks only, I don’t expect a real results at this point, being realistic 😀, we love it so far, we eat red meat, I also cooked chicken and chicken liver couple of times- loved it; but we also eat sea food, like fish, shrimps, scallops, so my question is: do we have to quit eating sea food? And only red meat 🥩, how about chicken? Thank you

congrats :) yeah take the first 3 months and notice the changes as they slowly happen its often a bit of a get going period involved for some even can be 8 weeks or more ;) but the clothing even in that time starts to fit they start to notice other things
so its also good to not just focus on weight but how you feel ;)

Pay attention to how the sea food make you feel. I recently did a 72h Sardine challenge and that was the best I've felt in years, and amazing BG readings and weight dropped off. So I guess for me, sardines are a super carnivore food and now I try to do it at least three days a week.
