- I didn't always know how to laser engrave cups on a rotary, but now engraved tumblers from JDS are what I make the most of on my Trotec Speedy. I show you my step by step laser tutorial, my material settings, best rotary settings in Job Control, and a laser hack to make laser engraving mugs perfect every time.

Need a "real house dad" STAT
😄 they are ridiculously popular 😄
saw the cup that said wesley chapel and then was like oh wow you're in tampa. Hello from brooksville! :)
Hello Brooksville! Can you make Florida back to our nice weather for us, please?
San Antonio 💕
Good job Nickole! How about a video on layered acrylic projects and the best sources for raw materials?
You're a good man Huey, thanks for the idea, I like it!
Great video. I just got a job as a laser operator. Q: Can you show how to do a handled mug with designs centered on each side?
Thank you lady! I too get nervous since I had some laughable results.
I have a load of laughable mistakes cup pile myself 😆
Great walk through!!!!
'preciate you 💓
I like your video - thanks! Why did you place the marker on the plate - you didn't show what to do with the plate marker or what it is for - you just said to drag it wherever you want. Why would it be needed and how does it become useful?
Hi! If you use the plate marker then you can use it for multiple cups. The plate marker will keep the graphics in the same place if you're changing out a design/name on the custom orders and still want them all to look consistent. Hope that helps
Do you now use Ruby Software?
How do you get the pencil mark onto the cup first?
Just eyeball it
Once you have your tumbler in the rotary how do you manually move the placement of the laser, at one time I could grab the design placement with my mouse and move it but now I can't recall how I did that, I'm still learning the machine.
I am still using Job Control, so speaking JC, once you connect your laser you should see your job on the rotary screen. You can then use your crosshairs to move the laser head using the laser machine buttons to line up where you want your image on the cup. The just drag your image on JobControl to the crosshair. Also, I highly suggest calling Trotec support for any and all questions, that is a big way I learned
Was the Trotec Speedy 300 your first laser?
It was 🥰 still my only laser.
Is the laser in your room?
Hi, no, it's in my office inside my home.
@@NickoleDavisRepnmyhood thats awesome! I'm looking into one and didn't know you could use it inside a room! Just worried it will cause a light outbreak or fire or something...
@@FamousHec You'll find a lot of laser users have them in their homes ❤️ Even the big industrial ones. I like it better than in a garage or shop because it allows me to create and be comfortable.
