I really appreciate you showing that even laser Dave has to do tests on stuff to see if it is going to work as expected.
Yes, I love engraving door mats, but watch out for small fires/smoldering😎
Really appreciated, Thank you😍
Did you test the backing before you cut it? How did you know it didn't contain PVC?
When buying latex backed doormat, you should get latex backed, not pvc backed.
If you have some experience about mats, you do make difference between those.
could you run the entire job out of focus like you did the vector line to produce a darker image?
That may be possible, but we did not test that scenario.
Looks good for a while, from my experience the color fades within a few months.
Can it be sprayed w a UV spray to help from fading or is it not from the sun but wear and tear?
@@mikeferretti7422 Did not work for me.
🤔
Is there a setting for speedy 300 50 watt? We have tried all tests and just can’t seem to nail like u have - not sure what we’re doing wrong - thank you
Settings will vary based on the brand of doormat you use. It may be an issue with the wattage being lower than the machine tested in the video. We did not try lower wattages, and it is possible that it may not work with only 50 watts. I would try it at 100% power, 20% speed, and 250DPI, and as shown in the video, keep trying new settings until you get the effect you want to see.
I want to get into the business, with trotec. Need to know the price of such machines

What wattage is the laser tube?
120W, 2" lens
@@DanGoodchild Great Job Thank You.
Would the settings work on a speedy 300?
With a 120 watt laser, the setting should be about the same!
I have a 80 watt.
