Hi, great video. I just wanted to mention another option to the 14mm head. If you’re not going to use the air you can just remove the cone from the 2” head. That will give you 37.7mm clearance. I made a little jig for myself so I could easily get the right focus (6mm) but like i said without the cone. Also I noticed you struggled to get the pointer in the right spot on top of the tumbler. You might already know this, but if you hit your speed button and change the speed to say 50 you can get it to move right where you want it. Just don’t forget to change the speed back other wise when you do your preview it will take forever! LOL . Anyway again great video, just wanted to give your viewers another option for the focus.
This is an excellent tutorial . I have had my Otech for 4 months now and just pulled out my rotary this week. I am excited to tackle a full wrap and you really helped explain things perfectly.
Thank you for this video I do have one question. How do you keep the bottom part from warping? I’ll play around with this with just different images and everything on the bottom part is scrunched. I don’t see where you made any adjustments for that. Is there something I’m missing
Fyi, you can remove the barrel spacer on the 4in head to get more space! You just have to alter your focal distance to account for the barrel height. Great video!
Where did you get the Allen wrench from? I don’t see it linked on your Amazon and I find the handles extremely difficult to remove on the save a cup tumblers. Thank you!
Hey Sallie, I love your videos. I just got my Nova 51 130. I also have the roto boss. I am curious, is it necessary to remove the crumb tray when engraving the tumblers?
So you dont raise the bottom to the same level as the top? You just basically set it up as a normal 20 oz tumblers but use the 4" head to compensate at 10mm? Great video!
I am currently testing this, but in order for the tabs to not hit the rollers i have to move the tumbler down abit which increases the chances of it slipping while engraving. can you share any more tips on this or tell me what I'm doing wrong?
So cool! Thanks for doing the research for us! It turned out wonderfully! 🥰 What a cool look! Have you ever engraved a silicone watch band or fitness band with a CO2 laser?
I was wondering if you have any recommendations on the full wrap I am using a epilog Fusion Maker 12 and I am able to engrave the top half on a 40oz Stanley without any issues but once it get the the lower part the engraving it don't come out . Any recommendations I cant find any tutorials on the epilog machine.
My roller is moving the cup up so it’s not meeting at the start point. I don’t have the cup butted to the top because of the tabs. If I move the cup with the tabs closer to the wheel it hits the other wheel. What am I doing wrong? 😭
What is the best engraver to invest in to do this kind of work? Not something super expensive but good for beginners that can do a full tumbler wrap like this.
So good video to start with, but.. I was watching this so I could start using my rotary to do tumblers from this company. Your focusing part just doesn't make sense.. After you level the tumbler as shown, you will need to focus your 10mm off the cup on the large end, not the smaller tapered end. if you do the smaller end as described, you will hit your tabs every time as they stick up 9.3mm already as it is. just not enough clearance clarence :)
You focus just above the tabs! I haven’t had any issues with mine ending up pixelated/blurry! It hasn’t hit the tabs either. Just know it is doable, I have made many of these 😊

You’re back. So happy. Yay for tumblers.

I was so hoping this would be when we for to hear the machine! Lol. That sunflower tumbler is amazing!
I love your videos! I've never been interested in engraving tumblers on my thunder til now🤗 I can't wait to try this!! Thank you❤

Hi, do you have to remove the nozzle, too?
Where did you get the Allen wrench from? I don’t see it linked on your Amazon and I find the handles extremely difficult to remove on the save a cup tumblers. Thank you!
Did you use any kind of laser marking spray??
I can't find any video for an xtool d1 on doing these types of tumblers. I love your video. I just don't have a machine like yours.
I'm gonna try to run a cup today on an Xtool 20 watt. Remind me and I'll try to post my results and such.

Wow they look great Sally.
Hi from Australia 🦘
Does the laser adjust to the taper in the cup, or do you adjust the engrave file to account for the taper?
Do you sometimes put glitter on them?
Great video! When you purchase the premade designs off of Etsy do the SVG files work ok for you?

Hey Sallie! Love these!!! Where and when will you sell these? I would def rather have one from you than Stanley 🥰
Fantastic work x
The tumblers are gorgeous!
I recently started making tumbler designs as well, is there any way to contact about a collaboration/sponsorship?
Can I put a picture of a person on the cup ?
How different would this work with a diode laser?

This is a great tutorial! Thank you! So you measure the diameter of the widest part of your cup for the rectangle, correct?
Yes so you measure the full circumference around the tumbler as part of the rectangle!
Ohhhhh please share where you got that little turntable!?! Also, the sunflower file?!? ❤
Anything can be found on Amazon
Great video. Two questions, how long did it take and what settings did you use. I may have lost it on the way
I am wondering the same thing!
So beautiful 😮
How much are you paying for these tumblers? Below msrp?
So fun to watch you
will these be available?? They’re so cute
I want one with my name 🥰😍

Does anyone know who does these commercially? I need 550 for a client and can not find anyone.
@papadaddy0 are you still looking for a laser engraver? I do laser engraved tumblers commercially.
Wonderful!
Hi Sallie! 👋👍🏼
Hey Sonya!!
why not wash it in the sink with soap and water?
Are you selling these?!
can you make me a cup please and thank you so much

@@SimplySallie perfect, the way you said in the video really didn't state / clarify that :)
