Wow! This is excellent. I use clear sheets and engrave the signs and then paint over it using acrylic paints. If I leave the sticker on when engraving, it becomes easier to paint once it’s dry I can peel off. However other times the sticker burns and gets stuck on the design which makes it difficult to paint. Any idea what’s the best way to?
You could try a couple things. If you search contact paper on Amazon, it comes in a roll and you can use that to peel and then paint the negative area you peel off. Or you could also search for a roll of 3M sticky paper that you can apply to the back of the colored acrylic to then stick on the clear acrylic. <3
Do you score on your acrylic for placing layers correctly?
It looks great. The design looks fairly easy, I wouldn’t have charge either.

Hi, if you go to Trotec website, they call their acrylic material "trolase". You can also check out other great laserable acrylic at JDS website

How do you get the pencil mark onto the cup first?
Just eyeball it
I like your idea. You just have to do each column in a different color so the laser runs each column separately and avoids tracking over the blank space between each pencil.

Hi, I started with the same laser I have 7 years later. My Trotec Speedy 300 80 watt. I recommend them or Epilog because of the life they have with little to no issues.
Want to buy your wood jig pencil holder from easy shop were do I go
Why not take the pencils from one group, rotate them 180° to where the erasers are now towards the center of the board. Then take the other group of pencils are repeat the same process. Will need to flip the name template upside down for the upper group and reposition them. For the lower group name template, just reposition them as well. The distance traveling between engravings has been greatly reduced. Just a thought...

I get my acrylic from 3 places typically, JDS, Johnson's Plastic Plus, and Trotec all online. That's cool you were born here before it all turned into not cows!

Between a few nails just holding it up, it was originally made to be a poster/coffee table but never made it ❤️

Why do you elevate acrylic off the bed?
Hi, it helps make a better cut on the acrylic letting air underneath so it doesn't get trapped
