This man is a coward , he ran from that fight and took 11 fully loaded magazines with him. When Muhamed Ghulab found him he still had a magazine in his rifle with bullets in it and 11 magazines strapped to his chest. He used his three teammates as bait. While they were discharging their guns and drawing attention to themselfs this petty coward chose to keep quiet and jump down into the valley.leaving 3 real MEN and hardcore navy seals to fend for themselfs. 11 fully loaded magazines could have made a difference , when fighting 4 against 10. Because they were fighting 10 fighters and not 60 or hundreds. His buddys were indeed calling out for him, probably thinking he got killed because they didnt see or heared him shooting all of a sudden. Because he ran. He came up with al these lies soon as he realised they died and he was the ‘lone survivor’. I hope the families of those 3 brave frogmen realise what a coward and horrible person this guy is and that the real heros left this life that day. And only a lone sheep survived , because he let go of his rifle and jumped down. Ignoring his teammates voices and not caring what happens to them. SHAME ON YOU , MARCUS LUTTRELL. NOT EVEN HALF A MAN. They will be waiting in heaven for you to explain yourself , your actions and youre lies.

i reserve immense respect for marcus luttrell. he came out of a vicious, no-holds barred firefight, lost three friends, and was rescued by someone who risked their life in sheltering him. he went through a lot and is no coward in my eyes. he is a hero and an inspiration.

The part that really touched me about this story was the village who saved him. And they fought for this man, putting their own lives at risk because of an ancient code, and didn't let him die. That's something I can respect

And he had 11 rounds in his rifle that’s the facts the man had like 20 wounds and almost died. On top of that Gulab wasn’t present in the extraction, qrf, or any part of the operation. Therefore he can not make any account of him having 11 magazines fully stocked.

Pure towing the navy narrative. Read the after action report. It’s 👁 opening. He was found with his full compliment of 11 magazines full of ammo(facts not opinions). The last one that really was disheartening was the actual size of the enemy element (7-10), movie&book had it between 300-400 which directly goes against the ISR data released regarding troop concentration & size. I just want to see or read a complete description with real facts not Hollywood facts, the best stories are true stories.

However I have heard the magazine story and I've heard footage of the real firefight and someone had translated that Luttrell had ran off but I'm unsure about this.

@@eznf98 The many conflicting statements by other members of the rescue mission and in official reports on the ORW mission do raise questions. I think him going to Iraq fits in with some stories of people having survivors guilt where maybe he wanted to go out like his fallen brothers, a war based suicide I guess. Whether people think he's a coward or not, you gotta have gigantic balls to do that job.

You'd have to be either a complete psychopath or a robot to go into war and not feel like falling apart at some point. No matter the level of training you get it never prepares for the real thing.

@@jimallen7148 He was HALO dropped deep behind enemy lines with 3 other people...in a 4 man SEAL team. Things went south and 16 other SEALS came to rescue.
Out of 20 SEALs who went in on the mission that day....he was the only one who survived. It was the biggest loss of Special Operations in pretty much the history of US Special Operations....
@@DJUwU I know the whole story..it has fascinated me for years. I read what you said wrong..only thing that is inaccurate with what you said was that they didnt do a halo. They fast roped in at 10k feet and had to walk up to 12k where they came across the goat herders..however, they later found out that it wasnt the goat herders that told the taliban. They in fact heard the helicopter and easily tracked there location.

Just because your tough and can make it through BUDs doesn't mean you won't break down when you hear your best friend dying. I believe that Marcus is a great guy and he did the best he could, but in all honesty, nothing can prepare you for war.
conor27 There's a difference between ordinary war and what they went trough. They were four guys in the middle of nowhere. In a normal situation, you've got 10's if not 100's of armed buddies beside ya.

In the total context of events he is no coward. His nervous system was overloaded from seeing his team mates die, and his injuries, and to hear his dying best friend scream his name over and over was what caused him to cover his ears, as he could do nothing about it anyway. He could not have done anything about his death as by that time Murphy was already chest shot twice and taking more fire. Putting his rifle down and covering his ears is all he could do to block out the scenario. Any brain when overloaded with previous events, would do the same. You did your job, and more, operator Luttrell. Salute....

His friend up there was helpless. There was no way for him to get up there and help him.

The man who calls the shots in his platoon just took two rounds in the chest and his dead, he's begging Luttrell to save him, a fully equipped hospital couldn't save the guy. That'd be enough to make any man have a momentary nervous breakdown, especially when he's the only one left in his platoon and he's next. I hate cowards with a passion and he's not a coward.
He clearly had to go through the emotional torture. There was nothing he could do with any logic to it. Thats not cowerdise, highly trained but still human.

I wish I had the honor to shake this man's hand and look him in the eye and thank him. I could only imagine the after life after going through something like that. Wherever you might be. Breaking points sometimes challenge us to continue to strive life. I really hope this man finds happiness. When bullets are flying over your head you go on auto pilot and are fighting under second nature. There was a few time when we would get ambushed and I would make it back I would think to myself “I could have died and I wouldn’t event know” I feel like that’s what he’s talking bout.

Yes I’ve read multiple reports, there’s even a report from the people who rescued him that all his magazines where still full of ammo, also the exaggerated the amount of Taliban enemies apparently it was between 7-12, not 100 or whatever number that Marcus said, seems fishy, glad he made it out though.
