I’d also add that our society needs to take stock of the thousands upon thousands of wounded who are forever scarred by war. We remember the fallen as we should, but we sometimes forget those who gave pieces of themselves and bear those scars every day.
All one needs to do to see the price of freedom is to visit the local V.A. and then take a little road trip to Arlington National Cemetery, any one of the 14 U.S. cemeteries in foreign countries, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. At each of these places you will see only part of the price of freedom. The price that you can’t see is the mental and emotional scars that our veterans walk around with all the time. And the grief and mourning of the family members of all of those in those locations, or still deployed. If you think our military members are tough, and yes they are, you should meet their families. Every time they hear something on the news they worry about their loved ones. It is especially bad when they’re operating outside the wire for some time and there is no way to contact them. May God bless and protect all those who have served, are serving, or ever will serve.
I never served in the military, however I feel it is an obligation as an American to honor those who did served and currently serve at all levels. Mr.Murphy is a true American hero. I only hope I can posses 1/4 of the grit, honor and compassion that he showed in his life. Not only was he a true man's man but he was willing to give everything for his fellow man. You will be missed Mr.Murphy.
The way he died is both heartbreaking and fitting of a true warrior. There have been many MOH recipients and there will be many more but LT. Michael Murphy might be the legend of all legends.
I have never, from any other country on this God blessed earth. Seen such passion for brotherhood and liberty than from the men of OUR armed forces. No. Other. Country.
The Character of any man is always revealed in the manner in which he treats others over whom he has absolute authority, or none at all. Thank you gentlemen for all you’ve done, endured and continue to stand for. Rest assured I (and countless others) Do Not take your devotion to duty and sacrifices lightly. May the Lord Bless and Keep you, your families and may HE Guard and Protect all your Brothers who stand in harms way.
Rest in peace Mike Murphy the true definition of a brother he knew going up to that cliff to try to get radio service would kill him but as a leader he did what he had to do to try to save his team
I have said this before and I'll say it again here: I am so glad that Marcus survived that day. Not just because he is a good man, or because he should have lived, but because if he didn't... if he'd gone down with the others, we wouldn't know what happened. I think that the story of Mike Murphy, would have still been told but if not for Marcus Luttrell, we would never know who Danny and Axe were. I remember seeing a clip about the movie. One of the SEALs on the production staff said to Emile Hirsch, "You need to do this right because from now on, every time someone googles 'Danny Dietz,' your name is going to pop up so you can't let him down." Thank God Marcus survived because thanks to him, a hundred years from now, people will still talk about the legend of Mike Murphy, and what those men did.
I agree. But at the same when Marcus said he had no ammo left. Then the man who saved him says Marcus had all 11 mags of ammo still when found. So I respect Marcus still because he's a real seal and served for our country. But Murph Danny and all the items that died that day. Do deserve respect and deserve the real story told. If its true that Marcus had all hos 11 mags and ammo?? Then he needs to just tell the true.
This workout was way more than just a sweat. So badass, this was my first year being introduced to The Murph. I fought in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2/7 and the men who died on the battlefield would be stoked about this.
For me, to take part in Murph is to honor all those who have suffered that we can live such a good life. To forget them is a shame. To those that do this workout on Memorial Day, remember, you suffer a little to honor those that gave everything in service to our country.
Thank you Lt.Michael Murphy for Service and the Ultimate Sacrifice that you made. My heart goes out to the Murphy family may God be with you all. Thank you Marcus and Morgan for keeping his memory alive.

Thank you so much and thank you to the Luttrell brothers for their insightful comments on Murph.. we appreciate you all and thank you for your service and to Morgan.. wished i could've voted for you.. give the hell in DC
Always remember that memory is subjective. Not everyone who served with M. Murphy remembers him the same. Much ink has been spilled recalling the events of the day Operation Red Wing But Marcus Luttrell has the ONLY eyewitness account. The ONLY one. His account is the only one we have. Combat is fuzzy UA-cam. To those who know, you know.
Make no mistake Gentlemen, This is what it means to be a man, to have people talk about you in that way, nothing else matters but what/ how you do for people.
Very few Service Members have the opportunity to Serve with and individual like Murph. They not only SET the standards, ALSO MAINTAINED THEM!!! Met one Paratrooper in my six years Active Duty who was like this.

Marcus, thank you and your team, for keeping our country safe, as long as you served and gave. Although, your line of events, showed true heroes still, puts me in tears. Heroes remembering heroes. I could listen to this all day.
Lord above.
Your listening to the lone survivor,
Talk with grace and humility.
Of his earned brother.
This man threw a rock and crawled. Further than you can walk.
Legendary.
Way Togo murph.
Way to seal team.
Way to go keeping his memories alive.
Thank you for never letting us forget those that paid the full price for freedom!!! Thank god for these people!!! Without them America is a pipe dream.
Love you all. 15 years army ranger. Being medically retired, against my will. Thank you for continuing sharing.
Rest in peace Mike Murphy the true definition of a brother he knew going up to that cliff to try to get radio service would kill him but as a leader he did what he had to do to try to save his team
God bless all our warriors for their service and sacrifices and the freedoms we cherish because of them. God bless.
“The only easy day is yesterday”
🍻
the thunder storm in the background added a different layer to the story of this hero
I was thinking same thing when I saw the lightning
This workout was way more than just a sweat. So badass, this was my first year being introduced to The Murph. I fought in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2/7 and the men who died on the battlefield would be stoked about this.
Havoc. Rah.
I need this song!
Ikr me too
ive also been lookin for it, i'll let ya know if I find it
For me, to take part in Murph is to honor all those who have suffered that we can live such a good life. To forget them is a shame.
To those that do this workout on Memorial Day, remember, you suffer a little to honor those that gave everything in service to our country.
You gentlemen blow me away.
So much respect here.
And that storm!! You know it.
👍🇦🇺

Thunder and lightning during this conversation is awesome. As a old army veteran these young men are awesome. Rest easy Murp.
Thank You all for your service. I love you guys!
God Bless all the men involved in Operation Red Wings , Marcus has most certainly done his part to remember his teammates that fell that horrible day , I truly hope to meet Marcus someday , he’s a hero to me and this great country 🇺🇸
He’s a fraud.

Finest of all men alive remembering one of their own. A great tribute! You continue to inspire millions, including myself. Thank you...
The name of your channel should be LEGENDS. Thank you for your service...
Damn I feel bad for the souls who dislikes this video......God bless you all
Great man you are sir. I was upset about this
Always remember that memory is subjective.
The only easy day was yesterday.....how awesome is that
Make no mistake Gentlemen, This is what it means to be a man, to have people talk about you in that way, nothing else matters but what/ how you do for people.
Very few Service Members have the opportunity to Serve with and individual like Murph. They not only SET the standards, ALSO MAINTAINED THEM!!! Met one Paratrooper in my six years Active Duty who was like this.
God bless!Never Forget every one HERO!Respect from Bulgaria!
Seeing all the vets in these comment threads….I am compelled to say thank you to each and every one of you. May God bless all of the peacemakers here on earth and flying high in the heavenly clouds. Not one of you will ever be forgotten.🇺🇸
The lightning is amazing !!! Thank you for what you guys do..........
The flashes of lighting in the background really add a beutiful ambience to this , its like he let out a clap of apporoval at that joke at at 4:40
The greatest amount of respect, love and admiration is owed to you all, God bless all of you and all of our Nation’s War Fighters. 🇺🇸❤️🙏💪🇺🇸
I think every American should watch this. You guys Set the bar!!!! Thanks and Semper Fi. Michael LOTT
Full RESPECT........and Thank you...only words I have ..Thankyou
Of all the heroes that laid their lives for something bigger and for their Brothers and family, Michael Murphy is my great hero. I do the murph almost everyday, and not one of those days go by that I dont think that I'm honoring this hero the way I can. Thank you guys for letting us know more and more about him
Marcus, thank you and your team, for keeping our country safe, as long as you served and gave. Although, your line of events, showed true heroes still, puts me in tears. It was shown and told right, for how far your team, went to protect me as a citizen. All the deacon's that you guy's have to make, I'm sure we all don't agree with, but our country has rules of engagement, that'll never be understood by me. While those monsters on the other side of the world, have no rules of engagement. God bless you, and your brave team. Never to be forgotten. Your all true hero's, that sacrifice everything to protect our beautiful country. Thank you! 🙏🙏
Looking and talking about a bunch of heroes. Thank you ❤️
The man and warrior Mike Murphy will never be forgotten because great men like you will never let it happen thank you !!!!!!!
I never served, I just have a lot of respect for the ones who do. Thanks to all those we lost and to the ones still fighting.
What a beautiful tribute to Lt. Murphy. I could really feel the love in that conversation as they reflected on the life of their brother. Well done, ya'll.
4.40 MAN THE THUDER THO when Marcus said " it's murph into this"😇🇺🇸👆
GOD Bless each and Every one of You! Thank You for your Service. I am Grateful for each of your Sacrifices for Me.
