Here's a guy who quits his career, sells all his possessions to travel around the world to the most dangerous place on earth to help people he doesn't know, just to provide some relief to those people. But a conflict ever involves my country I will gladly volunteer to go either to an emergency front post hospital or helicopter rescue!!
If I had known of this groups existence I would have started donating long ago!

Just became a monthly supporter. I watch you stories regularly across many platforms, but this one hit me particularly hard. Thank YOU for your service, and thank you to the rest of the current, former, and future men and women who sacrifice SO MUCH not only to protect our lives and liberties as US citizens, but the lives and liberties of those not lucky enough to live in a place with such relative safety, freedom, peace of mind, and so much more (that frankly, many of us take for granted a lot of the time). Thanks for sharing this story, hope it makes a huge impact and gains lots of traction!

No, you are allowed to feel your own pain. The pain and suffering of others does not negate your own. If it helps you to think that way than that’s great, but don’t let yourself or others feel invalidated in your own struggles to the point it makes you feel worse. Life is not a competition or even a comparison.

Ephraim is an example of the greatest courage and character of a human being. None of us writing comments could say with certainly, how might we have endured such barbaric events. We have him to forever remember and that great men and women exist in the world, more than the evil ones. It's amazing how he's created another organization that will aid families in conflict zones.
So often our media gives more attention to the evil; I am appreciative that you have decided to make a video to tell his story and his current mission, that came to be because of the shocking events in Iraq. I admire people who take a stand in the world to do and demand better for others. His heart is full of love for people not yet even known; What an impressive man!!🎉❤🎉

At the 28th minute I shed tears and grew a lump in my throat for the poor little angel, to live through that at 4 years old. May her days be joyous and she does good deeds. When Ephraim cried I also did, not for sadness but for respect and love for another human being so selfless. "Uncompromising integrity is my standard" You and others like you Ephraim are the epitome. "The only easy day was yesterday" I also try to live by the Edmund Bourke motto, but i am afraid I have fallen short on some occasions, unliks Ephraim. Whatever life brings you, may it also bring you joy and continued honour. MUCH LOVE BROTHER Ephraim.

I was a contractor in Iraq from '06-'10 & Afghanistan from 10'-'12. I also remember seeing the story of Ephraim's heroic decision to return as a civilian volunteer. I've thought many times of joining the ranks of the civilian volunteers in these war torn countries. I'm still undecided, but I want to thank you for sharing the link to support their mission financially. I've just started working again after 3 years of making recovery my "job". I feel into debilitating addiction after returning from these heinous places & leaving the family I became so close to while over there. My next move will be to support their mission & I will continue praying for all the suffering souls in our world, especially the children. I still have visions of the atrocities I witnessed while in the Middle East. War is something I wish no one would ever have to face in their countries.
Listening to your stories, I'm taken back to the oddly comforting controlled chaos that once made me feel important.
Thank you for your service then & now, & to those still serving bravely. Particularly those working to aid the innocents... May our creator bless us all & hear our cries. Humanity needs your presence, we need your light in our world once more. Replace the darkness in their hearts with love & light, or let the darkness consume them all, utterly & completely. 🙏This I pray. Nameste 💜

When I saw the words "goes rogue" in the video's title, I feared hearing how an American soldier had turned traitor and done something horrible. I was thrilled to instead hear this story of incredible heroism! The story of the little girl and her rescue and Ephraim's reaction at the end brought me to tears.
After watching, I immediately went to the Stronghold web site and signed up to support the organization. America, and the whole world, needs more people like Ephraim.
