Ephraim is one of the biggest modern heroes. When I read the title I thought this was about a soldier literally going rogue and doing a war crime, but instead its about an actual hero who couldn't stand innocent people suffering and decided to do something about it.
I love your humility, admitting what you did (for drama) after dismissed aside on navy seal test. I experienced early in my 35 years serving u.s government that life is a team sport and each person has their great talent, their contribution, and it's--okay-- to not be great at everything: your team 'has your back'.
Just became a monthly supporter. I watch you stories regularly across many platforms, but this one hit me particularly hard. Thank YOU for your service, and thank you to the rest of the current, former, and future men and women who sacrifice SO MUCH not only to protect our lives and liberties as US citizens, but the lives and liberties of those not lucky enough to live in a place with such relative safety, freedom, peace of mind, and so much more (that frankly, many of us take for granted a lot of the time). Thanks for sharing this story, hope it makes a huge impact and gains lots of traction!
Im a struggling single mom and this cause spoke to my heart. No matter how hard I have it, millions have it worse. I signed up and donated monthly. This is what an American hero looks like.
this is what any true hero looks like. You know, when you think about it. A true super hero is not the one with special abilities its those that sacrifice everything against all odds to save others, that is a true super hero.
No, you are allowed to feel your own pain. The pain and suffering of others does not negate your own. If it helps you to think that way than that’s great, but don’t let yourself or others feel invalidated in your own struggles to the point it makes you feel worse. Life is not a competition or even a comparison.

At the 28th minute I shed tears and grew a lump in my throat for the poor little angel, to live through that at 4 years old. May her days be joyous and she does good deeds. When Ephraim cried I also did, not for sadness but for respect and love for another human being so selfless. "Uncompromising integrity is my standard" You and others like you Ephraim are the epitome. "The only easy day was yesterday" I also try to live by the Edmund Bourke motto, but i am afraid I have fallen short on some occasions, unliks Ephraim. Whatever life brings you, may it also bring you joy and continued honour. MUCH LOVE BROTHER Ephraim.
This man is the true definition of selfless. I got so choked up when you described the scene in the hospital at the end. I hope this man doesnt loose his life and is able to save as many people as possible. The word "hero" doesnt do him justice and I think it's really cool mr. Ballen strayed from his usual story content to support his comrade and tell the world about his good deeds. Well done by all!
This story really touched me. My dad was deployed to Iraq and he experienced a child suicide bomber and that was ultimately the reason he retired. The PTSD of that one situation has haunted him since it happened. Thank you all for love and selflessness you give to this country and it's people.
Just picturing a little girl (4 years old) not having a full grasp on life yet, witnessing her mother and countless others gunned down, and having to hide under her dead mother. I can’t even begin to imagine what was going through her mind. God bless everyone that saved her and reunited her with her remaining family.
If you watch the full video, it is way more emotional because you see someone running out into danger to save a life and when the Iraqi soldier tries to talk to the girl to tell her she will be okay, I couldn't understand it but that man must really know what he's fighting for!! his country!!! his City!!!

A marine buddy of mine shared this early this morning. It took me back to a time when I met David shortly after this mission (same year) He had described the story very similar but from his point of view. He is making a very good living, and he definitely deserves it. $5.00 per 1000 views, each video has millions of views. I mean it's approximate but, yeah he's doing okay. Which means he'll keep doing it, yay!
There's going to be a special place in Heaven reserved for Ephraim when he passes on. "Hero" is used casually these days, but he's someone that honestly deserves the title.
I'm from Iran and I just found out that hers do exist. They are people who leave their first world country to help other human beings in the most dangerous places of the world. I'm jealous of this guy.
The fact that he cried after finding that little girl in hospital shows how truly human he is, good men stand up for those in desperate need and ask for nothing for themselves in return, these are hero's, men and women who risk life and limb for others, thank you for your service.

It's not mentioned in this video but they both went over there because God told them too and they obeyed. God isn't silent, and His true followers aren't innactive.
Damn right. You can judge people based on how they treat those who can do nothing for them. Do they do things because it's the right thing to do? Even when it's not popular? Surround yourself with people who do good things for no reward except the good feeling from helping others!
Your first statement imo makes no sense. but the rest is on point. If he didnt care about the girl or others. He would of never went back to fight ISIS. Obviously he cares. He doesnt have to cry to be a man or human. His actions spoke for themselves. If anything his crying just goes to show, even heroes have a breaking point. And that yes crying is OK.
After listening to the story and then watching the video I just started crying. To think as I I sit here watching UA-cam videos and laying in my comfortable bed every night that there's kids and people living like this. It breaks my heart. Donation was made.
Same here. What a stark contrast between so many of our lives and those who live in war zones. I can’t even imagine what that would be like. And I can’t believe that people could do this to others.

I remember thinking ‘man, this guy is definitely going somewhere’ and you didn’t disappoint! Anyway, mind blown. Glad to see you’re absolutely killing it in the civilian world. Be safe, brother!

I was a contractor in Iraq from '06-'10 & Afghanistan from 10'-'12. I also remember seeing the story of Ephraim's heroic decision to return as a civilian volunteer. I've thought many times of joining the ranks of the civilian volunteers in these war torn countries. I'm still undecided, but I want to thank you for sharing the link to support their mission financially. I've just started working again after 3 years of making recovery my "job". I feel into debilitating addiction after returning from these heinous places & leaving the family I became so close to while over there. My next move will be to support their mission & I will continue praying for all the suffering souls in our world, especially the children. I still have visions of the atrocities I witnessed while in the Middle East. War is something I wish no one would ever have to face in their countries. Listening to your stories, I'm taken back to the oddly comforting controlled chaos that once made me feel important. Thank you for your service then & now, & to those still serving bravely. Particularly those working to aid the innocents... May our creator bless us all & hear our cries. Humanity needs your presence, we need your light in our world once more. Replace the darkness in their hearts with love & light, or let the darkness consume them all, utterly & completely. 🙏This I pray. Nameste 💜

Ephraim is one of the biggest modern heroes. When I read the title I thought this was about a soldier literally going rogue and doing a war crime, but instead its about an actual hero who couldn't stand innocent people suffering and decided to do something about it.
There is ton more if you could consider every day,you yourself can be a hero just need a big 💓

Yeah, the title is a bit misleading. Should have been "get to know a Hero"

No, you are allowed to feel your own pain. The pain and suffering of others does not negate your own. Damn right. You can judge people based on how they treat those who can do nothing for them. Do they do things because it's the right thing to do? Even when it's not popular? Surround yourself with people who do good things for no reward except the good feeling from helping others!
Heroes? .... The US rapes Iraq, and you call them heroes? .... Wow. Judgment Day is coming.
Yet she will claim it was allah who saved her
Your first statement imo makes no sense. but the rest is on point.
“We sleep safely in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.” George Orwell.
@@JohnP538 very smart man.
we’re privileged bro. So grateful for everything.
Same here. What a stark contrast between so many of our lives and those who live in war zones. I can’t even imagine what that would be like. And I can’t believe that people could do this to others.
Ephraim is a true hero! He served our country as a Navy Seal and then volunteered to go help Iraqi citizens. He’s a truly incredible human being. Thank you for your service as well, Mr. Ballen!
So I’ve watched a few of your videos (love your content) and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’d met you before…took me months to figure it out.
Navy TAP/Transition GPS/whatever it’s called, Norfolk 2017. I was the Hornet pilot in our class. You told me the story of how you started Elite Meet. I remember thinking ‘man, this guy is definitely going somewhere’ and you didn’t disappoint!
Anyway, mind blown. Glad to see you’re absolutely killing it in the civilian world. Be safe, brother!
Mr ballen needs to see this comment
@@gondo1416 Lets make it happen
I'm disappointed he still hasn't seen it 😕 We need to blow this comment up.
Bump
He's probably not going to see it, sadly, until after Thanksgiving as he said he was taking a family break.
I'm not a crier, but this.... Ephraim is a true hero and light worker. It would be an honor to meet him.🌿
It tugged at my heart strings, too. 😭😭😭😭
I'M still chewing on a throat frog >:,(
Made a grown man cry!! When you said the girl made it to her living family members and alive today, I absolutely lost it! The man is a true hero!!
It's so sad only 4 yo....
Yep. Me too bro..
Man bro when they said she was 4, the water works almost took over

Amen brother!! 🙏 Prayers for their safe return!!!
Nameste 💜
He makes me Proud to be an American!!! His level of Honor, Selflessness and Courage for perfect strangers on the other side of the planet is absolutely mind blowing!!!! Well Done Sir!!!
You should temper that pride with the fact that America created isis. Regular American people are not bad people but the US government is a threat to the rest of the planet. Facts.
@@dopechannoodles9791 i agree. The u. ass. Government should be removed, redesigned by the people, and ran by the people. Not by rich pricks trying to make more money and force their ideals on everyone.
Bullshit . He's cannon fodder for the elites illegal wars. America is the world terrorist.
Yes this man is a great human not just a great American. American government is truly a disgrace. I love being an American but I realize that I was just lucky to be born on this soil. I am however ashamed of the us government. Rich men ordering poor men into war for monetary gain is all they do.
Did he say he was a Navy Seal?
When I saw the words "goes rogue" in the video's title, I feared hearing how an American soldier had turned traitor and done something horrible. I was thrilled to instead hear this story of incredible heroism! The story of the little girl and her rescue and Ephraim's reaction at the end brought me to tears.
After watching, I immediately went to the Stronghold web site and signed up to support the organization. America, and the whole world, needs more people like Ephraim.
Funny how going rogue means fighting to save people instead of fighting for oil lmao
Biden made sure everything we did is now useless and worst then before.

This is by far the scariest and craziest story ever told on this channel. Respect to those in combat.
Ya this one fucked me up.
Like seriously!! Mad respect
Bro is the symbol of hope
I love the way you told his tale , he couldn't have picked a better person to tell his story.
This is a level of courage and valor that most people will never comprehend.

God bless you.
Dude... I'm impressed by your humble way of looking back on your story about failing the underwater test... and telling thousands of people about it so honestly. That's some spiritually mature shit right there.
I thought the same, millions of people - probably billions with the passage of time.
He did end up getting through it which is awesome
This is how they are. I was special operations and had a few SEALs on my Task Force, dudes are worth their weight in gold
Failure only makes you stronger ...And admitting failure is being strong🤷♂️
It's one of the things I like about him, he doesn't brag, tells a great story and is funny.
