I am a Personal Trainer with over 28 years of experience... this is a great example of how to cover all the major muscle groups and get the heart going in just a few minutes! (YOu did talk about modifying the pushup, I suggest another great video like this that has each exercise modified for Seniors and for those who can't do what was instructed.) Squats can be modified by using a chair (placed safely against a wall) Push-ups can begin on with the hands on a counter-top and then lowered as the person gets stronger; Lunges can also be done from a chair.. they would be stationary.. do one side for 30 seconds, then the other. Step back lunges often work for those who have knee discomfort with the forward lunge. Mountain climbers can also be done with the hands on the couch or the counter top if too hard with the hands on the ground. Jumping jacks can be modified to step jacks.. steping out with the legs instead of jumping. Thanks for this great video! I will be sharing it!!
Kamala Parker Thanks for the modification tips! I had knee surgery recently and can't do anything with jumping. You should make your own video version of the modifications you mentioned. I would do that workout for sure!

your weight loss is less in the 3rd week bcuz you got used to these exercises.It means you've to increase your time. Try 1.5x4=6, try 6 min exercise this time

I did it once usually around 7:00 pm or 9:00 pm and im starting to see results but then a took a break for a couple of days im gettin back into it since christmas is soon :P
I'm on day 22. I'm not sure how much weight I've lost as I don't own scales but I feel a difference already, I feel stronger and look better. I've been drinking more water and my skin is also so much better. I've mixed the routine up a bit, I add more squats at the beginning, I do wall push ups instead of regular ones - then I plank, lunges, jumping jacks. I started running on the spot/jumping jacks for 1 song also - it could be a short song if you prefer :) I'm 24 & genuinely just wanting to get healthier. My arms are less bingo-wingy than ever which is great and I noticed my legs had changed first. I was going to wait until I had finished the 30 days but I want to continue and be the best version of myself! I've made healthier choices knowing that I've worked out (still treatin' myself) but savouring the treat instead of inhaling that treat and then many more :) any questions, feel free to gimme a beep :) dunno if this might help anyone :D you got this! 💟🔥
For anyone that would like to know, I actually completed the 30 day challenge. (With the exception of a well needed rest day as the day before I done excersize, build a bed and then went to a very energetic gig - It did take will power but even if you try stretching abd start with 10 squats at a time throughout the day, or even a couple. Get up, stretch. I started waking up earlier, waking up and then getting excersize done. I now do a small burst of excersize before every shower now as it makes the shower kinda more "worth it" although I would have showered anyway haha. It's easier getting this done in the morning than waiting to do it as the pressure of doing it will already be done. Try wall pushups and try planking instead of the mountain climber. I also started just listening to a random song and just trying to run on the spot (go at your own pace) and if that gets hard, swap over to jumping jacks. I've noticed jumping jacks are easier if you're getting tired. I done this instead of watching the video for a few days to mix it up a bit - (don't wanna get bored) I really started noticing my posture and although I'm not perfect by any means - I hope this advice helps someone.
Kittencrazy 321 also it may sound so simple but try drinking a bit more water every day, eat the fruit and veg that you do like. I've found it's easier losing weight, the younger you are :) best of luck! I'll happily support you through this :)
Hey guys here to update you on this video I do this workout routine twice a day (morning and night) everyday last month and added in a 30 min walk between the day of the two routines last month and lost up almost 30 pounds so I'm giving this exercise video a thumbs up easy to do quick burst of energy and I'll give you a following update at the end of September
I started watching video, and when you got to push-ups I almost switched to another vid thinking I can never do this. For some reason I kept watching, then came mountain climber which I thought would be more difficult than push-ups. I got down on the floor to prove my point...I did about 5 and stopped, not because I was tired, but I proved myself wrong, Great video. I will try it all the way through. 👍🙌👍🙌
Hey everyone! I know it's pretty late to be comenting on this video but I wanted to share my advice or tell you how I lost 5kg in a couple of weeks! I'm saying this from the deepest of my heart and not lying,I just want to help anyone who gets in situations like mine, where they get bullied of theyr body, but just be know everyone is beautiful the way they are! ❤ Also sorry for bad grammar or spelling mistakes my native language isn't English haha anyways :D. So I started off by completely cutting off junk food. No cakes, cookies, chips, chocolate or soda like cola, pepsi etc. I only drink water! Also drink as much as you can, but dont drink too much at once. I didn't follow any diet, just ate sandwiches, soup once in a while have a pizza xd but most of the time I didint have dinner. Cut out all snacks, i tried eating as little as i can. Now to exercising, the hard part... jk it wasnt that hard. I just followed this video and did 2-3 sets of them everyday. These are the other excercisces i did : - plank 30sec. -20 crunches -40 bike crunches -40 side crunches (optional) (20 each side) -jog in place for 5min. ( do 10min. And burn 100cal! ) MORE IMPORTANT -Jumping jacks!! I followed a video called something like "Jumping jack workout #1 loose 10lbs in 21days" and it works, its also not that hard :) Also the video is by Adrian Bryant :) So thanks for reading! I hope this will help you too :) Also it might take longer for some as everyones body is different 😘 Sorry if its too long haha. Also this is weird but if i ever need more motivation i watch weight loss transformations, it really helps xddd. Anyways good luck 😘
Ok so I've been doing this about a week & two or three days can honestly say I already see a change. In one week I've lost three pounds & couldn't be happier. Gain more energy too. So I can wait to see what a month does for me.
I have tried all of these exercises in various workout routines and they are indeed affective. Mountain climbers can be tough some days but they really work your abs, arms and legs. 👍🏽
It's a joke if they say that this is gonna replace 1 hour gym training. But yeah, for a beginner and for someone who wants to stay fit , doing these excercises daily all their life would really help I guess
You're not the only one. Try on your knees to start with, and just go as low, slow and do as many as you can handle, you'll get better with practice! :)
okay so guys... I did this workout thrice a day for 3 days.. I didn't follow any diet just tried to eat healthy. Now I can see my hips are getting bigger and my thighs are becoming more toned. My thighs ache but slowly the pain is going away. Now I actually feel strong. Although I didn't see any change in my belly but certainly this works. Huh? Why are you losing weight if you already weigh just 50 kilos and how are ppl telling you your body is not the best at that weight? 50 kgs makes you around 7-8 stone and just over 100 lbs. That's tiny. I weigh 57 kgs and I'm slim at 5'6. How short are you then if 50 kilos is too much that you are trying to lose weight? Toning makes more sense for that weight. Sorry, I'm a little confused cos 50 kilos is so small already unless you are really short.
I did these exercises while watching the video and am sweating like anything. So Doing these for 2 months will give you the results And it even saves time
Chinmay - I would have thought that what's vital for each person depends on their personal needs, goals and life situation. I really don't see why expensive gyms and elaborate machinery are needed for those who just want to get fit and maybe lose a bit of weight, unless it happens to be more convenient for you or you can't get sufficiently motivated without them. Push-ups, for example = an effective, equipment-free form of resistance training, using your own body weight. Plenty of other load-bearing/resistance exercises can be improvised at home, maybe with some light hand weights. Or books/cans of beans/water bottles! Gym-style weight-training with benches and enormous weights, if that's what you're referring to, may not be either necessary or desirable for Fruitarian or for plenty of others who are not interested in becoming competitive athletes or body-builders. Just my opinion! :-)
thanks for nothing, because of this video my gym closed down and all the people were laid off and now they got no place to work and I have no place to work out and now a bunch of drug loards have moved into the place and turned it into a gang fortress like the Carter Apartments from the 1991 Movie New Jack City
This is a grueling work out in a short amount of time, I love it!! I will be sure to do it everyday for a month as directed and go back to it after that when need be!
Ok sooo I just did this once anddd I'm out of breath but my limbs are only a little noodley 😂 I have really bad asthma so things like this are hard but I did it. I took 2 breaks but they were only like 1-3 seconds long. Hopefully this actually does something and I'm not wasting my time and energy lol (ps. MY KNEES HURT FROM SQUATS)

This exercise routine works miracles. I did it for a month twice a day and it made a big difference. I looked a lot sleek and it was noticeable. I think I lost about 3 kg
I will do this workout for a 3 weeks and I'll tell you how much weight I lost (DONT LET ME FORGET!) UPDATE!!: In the last 3 weeks ive lost 4-5 pounds it may vary because i ate pizza a few times but you may need longer depending on how much you want to lose. Losing weight takes a little longer with this method though.
Though i know the video is not of 4 minutes but it really worked for me...i am 13 years old still my weight is 111 lbs and doing this exercise for a month (exept 3 days because of periods)i lost 24 lbs in 2 weeks....seriously believe me👍 Keep it up bright side.... The one thing is it depends on your height too, you can use a chart (or a bmi calculator) to check if your a healthy weight before you do this, incase you end up losing too much weight. Im 12 and im 5ft 8 (which is apparently tall for my age) and im 140 ibs (which again is apparently a healthy weight but i do not believe that) lol
Alexandro 2014 yes after doing this you will sweat a lot...just remember one thing that the calories you burn should be more than the calories you consume...Last but not least exercising will never waste your time All the best

These are brilliant bodyweight excercises ..... I suggest doing 2-3 sets of the excercises for better results.... But don't forget folks you got to nourish to flourish...

I tried doing high intensity 5 days a week but found that I felt tired & muscles felt stiff... I now do high intensity 3 times a week Monday Wednesday Friday... I felt better & fresher as I gave myself a day gap to recover... Hope this helps folks

I see what you mean, I could barely do beyond a 15 sec, now after following a workout every 4 days (the 4th being a rest day) and after about 1 and a half weeks, I can just about do a 55 second one, though I still find it hard. I increased by 5 or 10 seconds every couple days. I recommend this :)

Yes, when I do Jeanette Jenkins reverse lunges, my knees don't hurt. Regular lunges, they hurt.

I'm on day 22. I'm not sure how much weight I've lost as I don't own scales but I feel a difference already, I feel stronger and look better. I've been drinking more water and my skin is also so much better. I've mixed the routine up a bit, I add more squats at the beginning, I do wall push ups instead of regular ones - then I plank, lunges, jumping jacks. I started running on the spot/jumping jacks for 1 song also - it could be a short song if you prefer :) I'm 24 & genuinely just wanting to get healthier. My arms are less bingo-wingy than ever which is great and I noticed my legs had changed first. I was going to wait until I had finished the 30 days but I want to continue and be the best version of myself! I've made healthier choices knowing that I've worked out (still treatin' myself) but savouring the treat instead of inhaling that treat and then many more :) any questions, feel free to gimme a beep :) dunno if this might help anyone :D you got this! 💟🔥
For anyone that would like to know, I actually completed the 30 day challenge. (With the exception of a well needed rest day as the day before I done excersize, build a bed and then went to a very energetic gig - It did take will power but even if you try stretching abd start with 10 squats at a time throughout the day, or even a couple. Get up, stretch. I started waking up earlier, waking up and then getting excersize done. I now do a small burst of excersize before every shower now as it makes the shower kinda more "worth it" although I would have showered anyway haha. It's easier getting this done in the morning than waiting to do it as the pressure of doing it will already be done. Try wall pushups and try planking instead of the mountain climber. I also started just listening to a random song and just trying to run on the spot (go at your own pace) and if that gets hard, swap over to jumping jacks. I've noticed jumping jacks are easier if you're getting tired. I done this instead of watching the video for a few days to mix it up a bit - (don't wanna get bored) I really started noticing my posture and although I'm not perfect by any means - I hope this advice helps someone.

Kittencrazy 321 also it may sound so simple but try drinking a bit more water every day, eat the fruit and veg that you do like. I've found it's easier losing weight, the younger you are :) best of luck! I'll happily support you through this :)

Hey everyone! I know it's pretty late to be comenting on this video but I wanted to share my advice or tell you how I lost 5kg in a couple of weeks! I'm saying this from the deepest of my heart and not lying,I just want to help anyone who gets in situations like mine, where they get bullied of theyr body, but just be know everyone is beautiful the way they are! ❤ Also sorry for bad grammar or spelling mistakes my native language isn't English haha anyways :D.
So I started off by completely cutting off junk food. No cakes, cookies, chips, chocolate or soda like cola, pepsi etc. I only drink water! Also drink as much as you can, but dont drink too much at once. I didn't follow any diet, just ate sandwiches, soup once in a while have a pizza xd but most of the time I didint have dinner. Cut out all snacks, i tried eating as little as i can. Now to exercising, the hard part... jk it wasnt that hard. I just followed this video and did 2-3 sets of them everyday. These are the other excercisces i did :
- plank 30sec.
-20 crunches
-40 bike crunches
-40 side crunches (optional) (20 each side)
-jog in place for 5min. ( do 10min. And burn 100cal! )
MORE IMPORTANT
-Jumping jacks!! I followed a video called something like "Jumping jack workout #1 loose 10lbs in 21days" and it works, its also not that hard :) Also the video is by Adrian Bryant :)

okay so guys... I did this workout thrice a day for 3 days.. I didn't follow any diet just tried to eat healthy. Now I can see my hips are getting bigger and my thighs are becoming more toned. My thighs ache but slowly the pain is going away. Now I actually feel strong. Although I didn't see any change in my belly but certainly this works. Chinmay - I would have thought that what's vital for each person depends on their personal needs, goals and life situation. I really don't see why expensive gyms and elaborate machinery are needed for those who just want to get fit and maybe lose a bit of weight, unless it happens to be more convenient for you or you can't get sufficiently motivated without them.
Push-ups, for example = an effective, equipment-free form of resistance training, using your own body weight. Plenty of other load-bearing/resistance exercises can be improvised at home, maybe with some light hand weights. Or books/cans of beans/water bottles!
Gym-style weight-training with benches and enormous weights, if that's what you're referring to, may not be either necessary or desirable for Fruitarian or for plenty of others who are not interested in becoming competitive athletes or body-builders. Just my opinion! :-)

UPDATE!!: In the last 3 weeks ive lost 4-5 pounds it may vary because i ate pizza a few times but you may need longer depending on how much you want to lose. Losing weight takes a little longer with this method though.

The one thing is it depends on your height too, you can use a chart (or a bmi calculator) to check if your a healthy weight before you do this, incase you end up losing too much weight.
Im 12 and im 5ft 8 (which is apparently tall for my age) and im 140 ibs (which again is apparently a healthy weight but i do not believe that) lol

I tried doing high intensity 5 days a week but found that I felt tired & muscles felt stiff... I now do high intensity 3 times a week Monday Wednesday Friday... I felt better & fresher as I gave myself a day gap to recover... Hope this helps folks

I did everything, apart from the push-ups. I can't do that many...I ended up doing the plank for 15 seconds. Maybe tomorrow it will get better

I see what you mean, I could barely do beyond a 15 sec, now after following a workout every 4 days (the 4th being a rest day) and after about 1 and a half weeks, I can just about do a 55 second one, though I still find it hard. I increased by 5 or 10 seconds every couple days. I recommend this :)
