Star War D-O Inspired Droid - DIY Scratch Build Star Wars Droid

  • This DIY scratch build could be the cousin of D-O from Star Wars. A fellow maker put out a challenge to make a droid out of bottle caps and lids. When I saw this I instantly wanted to make one! With a few lids and caps I created this Star Wars inspired droid and it was a pretty fast build.
Check out Andy's channel for some great practical tip on things like building robot hands and legs.

Dave, what I love about your videos is there are no rules! It’s all improvised. (Sorry my comments are floating over weeks months and a year. It’s because many of your videos come up as random feeds on my daily UA-cam videos.)

Dude... I feel your pain.... I knocked over my Nuln oil as well and spilled about 90% of it. But I managed to knock mine off my work surface and it hit the garage floor and launched the oil up into the air and splattered across my face/hands. haha I ran to the bathroom and tried washing it off as quick as I could but certain spots on my skin were dyed black for a week..... but that didn't bother me the most. Not having any Nuln Oil right now is the worst part about that experience!!

I have a couple I picked up years ago just because they look cool and I thought I could turn them into something else. 🤔 I need to go digging through my storage and track those down. Would love to build an off-road droid with bottle cap wheels. 😁
