I thought that the mouse droids were completely useless but I looked em up and apparently they're used to guide troops and people around the ships and deliver info and small items. but I'm sure most star wars fans all ready knew this
I'm working on kit bashing one of these using a disney mouse droid popcorn bucket as the body. Stripped in down to the basic shape and making all the greebles/racks from scratch/found objects. Still not sure about the chassis, there's a lot of inexpensive remote control cars out there.
Everyone complaining about why these guys made this. Clearly didn't watch the whole video, or at least, skipped the first minute where they literally explained why they made it.
anyone notice that kid playing on his switch in the background? i still remember playing gameboy colour on roadtrips back in the day... kids these days are spoiled with great graphics. not sure if good or bad, just hope it inspires them :)
I wonder what their thoughts are on the lore of the mouse droid. Like what do they think the inside of a real droid would look like and what functionality it would have? This machine that they made looks a little empty compared to what I think the real Star Wars droid would look like.
Reminds me I built a "Theed Hangar deck scrubber droid" (1/6)12'" scale. I have vid of. I have the stuff to build a mouse in two different scales, just haven't got to it...
I love the DIY and attention to detail but I think these two really over thought/built these mouse droids. The same could've been more easily accomplished with an off-the-shelf hobby quality RC car/truck and a few modifications for track width, wheelbase, and body mounting. I'm not knocking these guys, they did an amazing job, I doubt everyone wanting to make one of these has the resources to buy all the bespoke parts.
Jack Mauldin Well, just so you know, both these guys are top notch fabricators and designers within the R2 builders club etc... look it up if you're in doubt.
If someone else already makes the perfect part, why reinvent the wheel? That's good business. Besides, they've both made a bunch of droids from scratch.
It's their nickname, their real name is MSE droids. (Hence Mouse). They were built to resemble creatures called the Pleeky, which were house hold pets. They are built for a variety of reasons, for example sanitary stuff, transporting orders from 1 part of the ship to another, or on the death star for example, led storm troopers through the many hallways and levels to get to where they needed to be.
ok yes like start some thing what do thiss robot do in star wars but well sweek ans run whay ??? one thing is like scuters in red dawof thay fix things thats one are others ? will see more as post

Zonies Coasters they also clean and make basic repairs
They are sometimes used to sneak explosives into enemy bases
they were used a lot as spies.
You guys should Test UA-cams algorithm. Test the limits of what's ok and what is not . Would be interesting for many content creators out there.
I want to see actual mice driving one of these now.
Lol yea
The audio isn't terribly blown out, this is my formal complaint thank you
YaY!! I got a Tested Cameo!! I'm the Zombie in the white lab coat trying to get out of the way of the droid at 4min 24 sec into the video.
I need these droids in my life!
3:22 Galactic Empire symbol laser cutted on chassis. Nice detail.

I was to distracted with the kid playing the Nintendo Switch in the background
5:15 Yes!
The functionality of this amazing little droids is to pick up gum stuck on the Dead Star floors. safety first for Storm troopers.
I think the mouse droid is a awesome droid
That's awesome, I think I have found my next RC project...
Everyone complaining about why these guys made this. Clearly didn't watch the whole video, or at least, skipped the first minute where they literally explained why they made it.
the kid in the back missed his mouth eating, he must be tearing shit up in whatever hes playing lol
I WAS LITERALLY LOOKING UP HOW TO BUILD A MOUSE DROID YESTURDAY!!!
Looks like the side detail is a whole bunch of IC sockets.
I did not realize mouse droids had visible wheels I thought it was supposed to be nearly flush to the floor
anyone notice that kid playing on his switch in the background? i still remember playing gameboy colour on roadtrips back in the day... kids these days are spoiled with great graphics. not sure if good or bad, just hope it inspires them :)
RobinToTheBatCave yup

Love you guys
be awesome to put a sound module in there to produce those squeaky droid sound
They both mentioned they have one.
these are really neat!
I didn't know that the sides were IC sockets. The one looks populated with IC's and the other doesn't.
They need a Differantial from a RC-Car!
Next step: K-9 from Doctor Who.
Reminds me I built a "Theed Hangar deck scrubber droid" (1/6)12'" scale. I have vid of. I have the stuff to build a mouse in two different scales, just haven't got to it...
Could you demonstrate the sound board, not a mouse droid without it
but what if you stuck a bunch of paper clips into a jumbo eraser instead that could be cool
I want one, no, no, I need two!
It’s a “Bar Dar Ditup” 😊
Honestly it would be better if they at least made it so it made the sounds too. Because without the sounds it doesn't feel the same.
haven't been this early in years
Obi-Wan Kenobi hello there :)
'Look Sir, droids!'
Everybody noticed the Nintendo Switch kid, but nobody gonna say anything about the Robotech stand?
I noticed it! Any idea what it is about?
Secret Chewbacca Hate Club
4:01 asian mike has wolverine hair
Senna is a god
It would've been cooler if it was a Star Wars themed mouse cage/carrier

Great, now, where is sand crawler ?
Mike McMaster has made a sand crawler, I believe. He also made a life-sized lower third of a sand crawler for the last Star Wars Celebration.
I can keep my weed in there.
I know someone that made one of these out of legos, and an R2-D2 out of legos
MSE 6 Drift Car, I must make one
wonder who was at the table first...Tested crew or the family with kids and a baby?
We were first, but we were happy to share with our new pal's from Tested.
I wanted to hear them do that dok doh dik dak
I was just thinking about TYRA BANKS :D
So wheels do exist in Star Wars
this is so weird i am going to make a little one myself soon.
"find the original nut"
I went to a convention and someone had a mouse droid that played music
I love the DIY and attention to detail but I think these two really over thought/built these mouse droids. But they didn't make it speak! 😔
What star wars show was the dude referring to???is this a slip up and were going to be getting a star wars show?????
It sounded yo me like a Disney's live attraction?
There's an official weekly UA-cam show on the Star Wars UA-cam channel. Their mascot is a mouse droid named CH-33Z.
Adam, what are your thoughts on the new Mythbusters?
'Ello!
Dude is not a builder. He is an assembler. He just ordered everyone else's stuff and then put it together.
And both made droids for lucasfilms i believe.
Why would you want one. ....,.,....,geeeeeeeeeks
Build Ricks Portal Gun From Rick and Morty

quietpianist logan
Dinosaur at 1:42
All the comments below are more about irrelevant shit going on the background. People nowadays are so easily fuckin distracted
Why is it called a "mouse" droid?
It'd small and scuttles around, hides from Chewie and so on. Basically it's named that because of it's behavior.

Hey yo
What a hassle, i would have done it with an rc car and a shoe box
+Zach Simons i thought it was just a toy for big boys
Thats probably also true. But they both have officially made droids for Lucasfilm.
I love the kid in the back with the nintendo switch.
Oy
Slabedaskarn H yo

The title of this video is grammatically incorrect.
Deez nuts :')

April Fools. !!!!!!
I hate these. I swear people bring them to cons just to trip people.
I can't watch the video because the little kid chewing with his mouth open in the background.
;p
It's an R/C car with a catbox on top. Tested has become disappointing in the last few months.
I think Norm was trying to show something he hasn't shown from these guys before, but yeah, this is the simplest droid either of them have made.
first
kaaryl lol *not*
That's stupid
Its like a pan car car with a toaster on it.
