Cheers Paul. Just been given a scrap Mountfield Sp470 in terrable condition and after watching a couple of your videos i have serviced Beryl (now my name for her?????) Resprayed her and she is running like a dream. Ive even taken the head off and de carboned it...... Is that a word. Never done this before but so enjoyed it. So thanks for the vids they have made lockdown a lot more enjoyable...... Dont want to go back to work now lol

Ta for the video mate.. looks like you can get the spring bit off if you needed to replace the spring.. but I bet it would not be much cheaper then getting the complete unit.. hope your all good .

Paul please help :-(( I have bought, repaired and sold plenty of mowers over the past few years, but I have come across a problem. I have a Hayter R53s which I simply cannot get to start for love nor money. When I picked it up the fella had it running absolutely lovely from stone cold first pull. Got it home and nothing. Any idea??

pull spark plug out and pull it over without it in then put it back in and try it

That happened to me. In trying to figure it out I lost the ball bearings. Replacing them fixed it.
