just bought a mountfield hp454 i have two screws left over do u know where they go can u help they where with the bolts for handle
Hi wondered if you could help me please I've got the same model lawnmower as in this video minus the self propelled
It's got a problem it runs fine until I start cutting and then the revs start jumping up and down soon as I stop the revs return to normal thanks
I've got the HL454HP, only problem I've got with it is that it runs great, until I actually start cutting. It starts to sound like it's hunting. Any ideas? Also, what's the optimum gap on the plug? Any advice is greatly appreciated 👍
I always use NGK. Never had a problem. I have picked up dozens of broken mowers with cheap spark plugs in and replaced them with NGK to find they run fine. Thanks for watching.

I had purchased a Mountfield lawnmower and I will inform every person who consider to purchase the Mountfield lawnmower steer clear and buy a Honda lawnmower because I had to keep taking the wheels off to clear the blockage of grass that acumilated on the rear of both wheels also the wheel had to be screwed because it started to fall apart and the I was having to buying spark plugs every month so take care and take my advice and I hope that you will get a HONDA LAWNMOWER and be happy with the machiene

how do you remove the black plastic panel behind the grass box which allows you access to fit a new clutch cable ?

hi I have a Mountfield petrol mower and the pull start has packed up the cord does not recoil I have taken it apart to wind it back up by hand then reinstalled it pulled the cord and the same thing happened again is it a easy fix or do I need to get a replacement part and if so where is best to buy from thanks in advance Marc
I would get a new complete pull start off ebay. Dont bother messing with the spring. 3 bolts later and your fixed with a replacements
