I saw Linkin Park in concert when I was a teenager and Chester saved me from a guy that was assaulting me to try and take my place in the front row. He stopped the show and had him thrown out. I miss him... the world misses him.
Side note, this was the late 90s, before I had a license because I remember my mom drove us there. He also threw out water bottles to the moshers and told us to look out for eachother. This is how all performers should be. I didn't know any differently thanks to them.
seemed like he really was a decent noble man. such a shame the good ones die young.
What an absolute legend. Sad he’s gone RIP
Is there a Video of it?
@@iupiter.161 not that I'm aware of, we didn't have cell phones like we do now back then. I'm kinda old lol
“His voice makes it feel like an orchestra”
Awesome way to put it. Rest In Peace to dear Chester
Chester is missed every single day.
As well as Chris Cornell.
I wished they never left yet I guess that heaven wanted them to sing in that festival in the sky
@@hondomclean6759 Both beautiful voices and artists.
I was predisposed to hate Linkin Park because my husband, who was hooked on pain medication, was watching their live concert back in the day over and over again on the computer while I was in nursing school and effectively raising our children alone while stressing over my husband and his addiction. That said, Chester’s beautiful voice, really drew me in and I became a fan of the band. Fast forward, I have my husband back, we’ve lost Chester to his demons but the world still has the music Linkin Park has left behind.
How did you get him back? What did he do?
😭😭😭😭😭 I still cry when listening to them
I'm so happy that you got your family back ❤
??
Maybe I'm biased but "The Little Things Give You Away" really is my favorite song by them. Kinda slower, I know, but after living through Hurricane Katrina, and being a fan of them for so long, it really hit home for me. I will always miss Chester. 💚💚💚
Yes so good the road to revolution live version is amazing. Very underrated song by them.
this one is definitely a master piece, it hits me every time. we miss you chester😔
Mine too ❤
One of my biggest regrets in that I didn0t have the chance to see Linking Park live when Chester was still alive 💔💔💔
same it hurts me still that i wont get to see one of my top 5 vocalist
it is hard to decide which i want as number 1 cause freddie mercury could sing and damn chester is right there
I was lucky enough to see him live twice but it hurts that I didn’t get to share it with my kids. LP was the first band my kiddo danced along to and Chester passed months before the concert we had tickets to.
Please get this guy to a concert someone!
😂
You young man are wise beyond your years❤️ You can hear his soul in this song, that is Chester, he gave us his soul in every song every performance he gave us Everything and we are forever grateful ❤️💔❤️
Chester left a bit of his soul in every song
One of the greatest losses to the industry and the world, what a voice. His impact was immense, he was loved
Sing like an Angel,
Screams like the devil
Lived like a human
Died a legend
This joint right here shows the true vocal talent and feel the depth of his soul. Rest in peace Chester ❤️ 🙏
jojo . yu couldnt of said it better . you can feel his soul . every time i hear chester , i hear his soul . perfect analogy
Since you've done a lot of reactions to Linkin Park's album Meteora, you should do a start to finish listen (it's like 40 mins.) in your own time. The flow between the songs, especially Easier to Run, Faint and Figure 09, is fantastic. The album as a whole is much better than the individual songs.
Don't stay and Nobody's listening are awesome tracks.
LP albums are built diferent, i can listen Hybrid theory, Meteora, minutes to midnight and one more light from start to finish in loop all day and enjoy every track every time, never felt the need to skip one song
Best song on meteora in my opinion is and was hit the floor. Awesome song.
Please check out the live version from "A place for my head" in Texas. Chester's voice is so damn impressive. 🔥🔥🔥🤯🔥
I can’t believe I have not heard him sing this before.
I LOVE IT!!!
His voice, his soul, his energy, will not be matched. EVER!!
This made me weep; it Is Perfection😮! 🙏🏻
Chester is truly missed💔
You absolutely have got to check out 'The Little Things Give You Away' live. It's probably some of Chester's greatest vocals save for this one. Keep it up man, you're killing it!
How you described his soul made me cry. ❤
More Linkin Park!!! Keep up the good work brother
Hey there!
May you react to "I'll be gone"?
It's one of Linkin Park's most underrated songs that literally no one knows.
It's one of the songs that helps me with my depression.
I really enjoy your work, keep it up! :)
I love this song with Chester.
this kids got a special talent, idk how he manages to pause it to comment at the best parts of the song......
Love it!
Took an amazing song and made it even BETTER!
Oh my G brother, you need to experience music live surrounded by over a thousand like minded individuals.
It is moving, it's spiritual.
Exactly. It’s the same vibe as going to church for church goers but for music lovers.
@@daniellharris8757
Amen, the collective soul can be moving.
Chester B is an amazing person and musician ❤
Listen to the song "One more light" on Jimmy Kimmel or there are videos of him singing it live
It's a tear jerker
I have a hard time listening to it 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Chester was one of the greatest voices of all time. He was irreplaceable, he can cover everyone else's songs, but NO ONE can cover Chester.
I went to a summit to meet the band before the concert and they performed this with a guitar and Chester. Stopped my heart from beating and took my breath away!
Yay!! Love it!!
I never heard them cover this song before and I am so glad that i now have.
Thank you for exploring music and sharing it with the rest of us.
I was so hoping you'd check this out. I think it's an amazing showcase of his talent!
Thank you for reacting to this!
Merci d'avoir activé la traduction, Chester est irremplaçable, un ange 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
RIP Chester 😭 Miss u so much! Love hearing this song!
Yoooo! JoJo, I'm so glad you checked this out!
I have always loved this cover. Chester was an amazing vocalist. Sure, he had an epic voice for rock. But, if you really listened beyond just the surface of LP's songs, not only was he very melodic during his "louder" parts, but he was just a really good singer overall. It may not have been as obvious when he had the rest of the band playing along. But, here, it's just his voice and a piano. You couldn't miss his skills if you tried.
superb he was such a talent RIP
Just stumbled across your channel today, I’m subscribing! Keep up the amazing work, cause you got my potential🤝✌️ love the reaction, and the positive energy💯
Chester can sing everything
Loved the video, I can’t believe you not only saw my comment but reacted to my suggestion! Made my day 😁
You pops sent me to this channel and I am glad he did, I didn’t know Chester did this. Thank you for the video
You are lovely I'm so glad u enjoyed my Chester xx❤
If you don't mind reacting to it, there is an amazing tribute to Chester by Mike Shanoda... the crowd sings Chester's part and it gives me chills every time.
Omg! I bawled 😭😭😭😭
Was that at the Hollywood Bowl?
@@michelefred68 The video I saw was at the Reading Festival singing In The End. There is just something about when the crowd sings like that. Have you seen Corey Taylor live in London singing Bother? OMG that crowd! It's a thing of beauty.
Chester was one of a kind! Pure talent in every vocals !
Hey there, Welcome to the LP family as you continue to explore Linkin park and Chester's legacy. I know your starting to watch live performances, But my December and pushing me away live (piano version) is another incredible performance. Chester is truly missed by us, and ty for appreciating him as much as we do. :)
The world lost another Great Musician, R.I.P. chester!!💔
Find a concert nearby and go! There’s nothing like a live performance and the energy of the crowd! Go!!🔥🤟
He was so insanely special ❤
Oh.mi.gosh. I loved the Holiday comparisons....Easter Sunday, Christmas, Halloween....💚☮️🙏
LFR Jojo time for you to experience a couple concerts . Keep up the great work.
Oh, you’re so sweet! You deserve to go to a really good concert everyone to chip in and buy you a ticket to your concert of choice
This is so amazing! Please react to Reason to fight from Disturbed💜
This song is one of my survivor songs, can‘t listen to it without shed a tear
I would have loved to have heard them sing it together!
Just incredible.
I used to love Adele‘s addition until I heard Chester sing it, he was so amazing 😻
Check out their first album FULLY!! ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!
(Its called Hybrid Theory)
And it was, in a way, their self titled album. As just before they signed to the label and changed names to linkin park, they were called hybrid theory. Though before that they were called zero. The kind of disappointing thing listening to them as they first appeared is that every song from the album hybrid theory was their whole line up as zero and hybrid theory just remixed. Then their second album was the same songs again remixed yet again. Probably why most people gloss over reanimation in their album titles
I saw them at a local bar here in Baltimore called fletchers. They were amazing then and they weren’t even big yet.
Absolutely no auto tune what so ever his voice was so unique its gonna be hard to find someone that can do it like this
Goosebumps ❤❤❤
I cry every time I listen to this live...I haven't listened to it for a while bcs it was too hard emotionally.
It's impressive watching how hard he was working to keep his voice that high. His veins in his neck look like they're going to explode along with the grip he has on the mic stand.
I think you and your dad should go to a concert together of a band you’ve both reacted to! I think we would all enjoy watching that video!
CALLED IT YET AGAIN!!
Awesome
Hey Jojo, keep up the great work! Love the reactions. Don't know if you've done this or not, but have you reacted to Aliison Krauss and Union Station yet? Her remake of When You Say Nothing At All by Keith Whitley will melt your heart! Voice of an angel!
I like your reactions, Bro! Chester and Miyagi (Russian raper) are two people who influenced my life! Respect to you!!!
I truly luv ur reactions I found u thru ur Father's channel and I'm so glad I did ur father obviously raised u to be open to the world without prior judgment. Oh by the way when I was 15 there was a amusement park near were I lived that every Friday night u only had to pay 5 bucks after 5 and we got a free concert most every Friday night included in our 5 bucks getting in and it was 89 to early mid 90s at riverside park in Agawam mass and it was a ton of fun BUT TBH most bands sound lk sh*t live lol so yes u see the great ones on UA-cam but ur not missing out to much except for the experience and yes I hope u get to go to some live concerts but IMHO I've seen rap rock and pop bands and I'm talking VERY BIG bands and after seeing them live I was lk they did a 1000 takes to make that CD ..but u see for ur self and ill be here waiting to see ur awesome reviews ...much luv from MA
Finally.
I have requested this song a couple of times too.
Hope you do Warren G feat. Sissel Kyrkjebø- Prince Igor.
A really special song.
A mix of hiphop and opera.
Never been done as good as that is.
I got a musical recommendation for ya.
Check out
Gary Clark Jr.
“When my Train Pulls in”
Live in Griffith, CA.
One of my favorites is Breaking the Habit, you should definitely check it out.
Please react to Rock am Ring 2007, any song from that concert but particularly One Step Closer for how crazy you can see the crowd, or their closing song Faint which was possibly his best live performance of all time. Ideally do both 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Baby, you can hear his soul in every song he sings!
I once played this version and my parents actually thought it was Adele
This is during a sound check, if you notice the stage hands are still setting up
There's a video of the backstage warmup for this that is RAW .
❤️🥺
I still can‘t believe he‘s gone 🥺
I’m gonna make a semi-related request: Saturation (Strange Love), by the band Grey Daze, of which Chester was part of.
yeah i agree, if you want to hear more great songs of chester, Grey Daze and Dead By Sunrise are great side projects of chester, again with loads of emotions.
we miss you chester😔
My man you should watch the live performance of "Iridescent" LosAngels(2010) and "The Messenger" where he sings with a small group of fan. Awesome!
Love from Italy bro
The messenger where he forgot the lyrics? And fans helped him?
Does seem like you are familiar with the original, but still worth checking out if you need a refresher. I'd also recommend giving Leo Moraccioli's "metal cover" a listen as well. Oh, and his cover of her song "Hello." It's really pretty cool how these two sorta "folk-sy" songs transition so well to the metal genre. But then, I have a deep love for melodic metal. It just hits different.
Leo's version is fire, also the dan vasc cover is amazing too.
You really should look into Jonny Cash’s version of “Hurt”. It the last song/video before he died and there are lots of quotes from his kids about it being his “goodbye” song. Nine inch Nails did the original, and it’s amazing, but Jonny’s version is epic.
Hearing Chester sing this song is like having a religious experience.
Please react to
“Five Finger Death Punch- Wrong side of Heaven” music video
And
“Charlie’s Daniel’s Band - Devil Went Down To Georgia”
And
“Aerosmith- Dream On (with the Southern California Children’s Choir)”
This particular one is a memorial to the Boston marathon bombing, but the song came out in the 70s, I think. It’s a classic.
R.I.P. Chester
I Love Linkin Park, even after all of these years they will never not be AMAZING.
Thing about Linkin Park is they absolutely preferred doing live performances, so you usually get the best of them that way :)
The “”man playing the piano” is Mike Shenoda.
Love the reactions JoJo - You should cheek out faint live rock am ring 2007 by LP. You'll love it!
Lets gooo
You have got to hear the song "system" by Chester Bennington
Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria does an incredible acoustic cover of “Hello” by Adele.
There’s a band for you to check out. Give Coheed and Cambria a try.
Great stuff. Have you ever listened to Dance Gavin Dance ? Man of the Year is a banger.
Cry to Yourself by DJ Lethal (Limp Bizkit) feat. Chester Bennington please. It can be found on the UA-cam channel called Linkin Park Live Archive.
ey man, you should definitely check out IN MY REMAINS by LINKIN PARK
the contrast between chester and mike is amazing is this one, there is a shit load of emotions and it's just a real banger. no doubt my all time favourite, plzz check it out
I have recently seen a few of your reactions show up on my feed and I noticed you had a few Linkin Park ones and seemed to really enjoy them :) I was just wondering if anyone had given you the unfortunate news that Chester Bennington had sadly taken his own life a few years ago? It was a black day in the music industry and I'm sorry you didn't know them in the great days before
Definitely would love for you to check out their performance of QWERTY. There is no studio version and they only performed it once (I believe)but it’s amazing.
There is a studio version that the band released in 2020 for their 20th anniversary of hybrid theory. You can listen to it on their channel in the playlist. It was actually recorded after the live version and it isn't as good...that's when you know a band has talent.
@@victoria3241 You are both totally wrong.
The Studio Version of Qwerty is out for about 16 years now, and it was released at the Underground 6.0 EP. But it was also official released at the Songs from the Underground EP. If it would be released on the 20th Anniversary of Hybrid Theory the Song would be available on Spotify and other streaming services, but it's not. On the 20th Anniversary of Hybrid Theory they released only Hybrid Theory Demos.
And I think they played Qwerty about 6 or 7 times Live, not only once. But I don't know the actual number...
You say you've never been to a concert. If you really want to see a video which encapsulates how it feels watch Green Day Crowd Singing Bohemian Rhapsody [Live in Hyde Park 2017]. I just found your channel tonight and have binged a ton of your videos, you should absolutely watch this one even if you don't react to it.
The piano player is mike shinoda
You are young and cute. I'm glade that you are on the right way, and that you enjoy the real artist. Chester is the best of the best of the best.
you got a ton of great reactions, but there's a great band that you've completely missed; Sabaton. these guys do songs based on real battles and ppl in history, and as many of the comments put it, "Sabaton makes you patriotic for countries you've never lived in". they have an entire album dedicated to famous last stands, and another dedicated to WW1. if i had to suggest just one song, it'd be No Bullets Fly, the animated story version, as it also tells the story of the song, and the results of it.
Amaon Armath really sing about vikings and stuff
Their awesome! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
i don't really like covers mostly but this one was so good
Listen to The Light. FYI- get the tissues ready. It’s a dedication to him by his band.
the world lost someone very special when we lost Chester Bennington
You gotta do Remember the Name by Fort Minor Mike from Linkin Park's other band.
