He started singing and I started crying. He has such definition in my life. I'm so happy to see you love this. I miss him. Hearing him sing Hallelujah as Cris Cornell's funeral just a few months prior to his own unaliving kills me.
He is the only singer/famous person that made me cry to 2 days. I was devastated

My biggest regret is never going to a LP concert. I miss him so much.
i was lucky enoiug back in 2009 when Linkin Park came to my country, the ticket was like 100 euros, but it was worth it, all the props, and interraction with fans, and the concert itself was like 4 hours long, it wasnt like the douchy popstars, come sing 5-6 songs and leave. Only Metallica and Snoop Dogg has close enough good concerts. Snoop Dogg concert had to be together here with Akon, but Akon was even douche enough to say only 5 hours before concert, that he wont arrive, and Snoop Dogg actually had to come up with a completely new concert plan in 5 hours, he didnt bail. I mention the Akon, because, pop-stars are just douches.
I never heard this version before... With all the rap and synth stripped away, his singing was so heart felt that it actually kinda killed me when he hugged that girl cuz it looked like a very real hug, too real, like he didn't want to cut it short but he had to so it wasn't weird... Seeing that, hearing these lyrics in this form, and knowing that he committed suicide really made this one of the saddest videos I've seen in a long time.
Most who are fans of Linkin park since the beginning, his music has helped so many people that I personally know, myself included....and this song, is a theme
Spot on. Despite the huge record sales they (and by association, him) are criminally underrated. 'Oh, it's just that Nu-Metal crap'. No, it really, really isn't.
I love this version of the song, we always say he screams like a demon and sings like an angel, Chester was one of a kind.

Most likely knowing it would be his last concert.
people that live their life with such chronical mental illness, don't end things out of the blue, its a result of the illness, and it is a long time under way, its not something done out of despair in a moment, but chosen to be done as a result of the illness having taken over.
He choose the day, a special day for him. And no doubt it was chosen a good time before that point.
So a very big chance at this concert he already knew.
Saying goodbye to people that did not know he was already gone.

the whole hybrid theory album, but especially crawling, and also in the end and one step closer got me through some really tough patches, I love this version tho, stripped away you're right, he sounds like an angel, this was shortly before he passed.... Sometimes I wonder if he had already decided before this tour and thats why he was in with the audience so much, like saying good bye to them all.... I don't know if he had always done that or just for that tour but it did make me wonder. Thank you Chester for getting me through jr high and beyond. and thank your for doing this reaction. Linkin park have such a variety of songs, but few hit as hard as this one, chester has such a distinct voice and is well known for his range but while his rawness is unmatched IMO this live in particular showcases his softer more "angel" like control that he has, I'm not sure if it's his voice or the theme behind this song and how so many of us can relate and may have turned to this song at times, but it truely hits deep into your soul, R.I.P Chester, your light still shines, guiding us through the dark 🙏

I was at this concert, the Manchester Evening News Arena in the UK 2 weeks b44 he died, he did one more live performance after this. I cried at the time, it felt like goodbye, I have BiPolar and he has helped along my journey, loved him so much.

Blackbirds and What We Don't Know are the two best unreleased Linkin Park Songs I think...even Blackbirds is actually official released, but only on Apple Music.

Chester was/is a huge influence on my singing style. While I am metal guitarist, there is a lot for kick ass vocals like him. I will never reach his ability, but I will learn I can from it. Left to soon, RIP.

Linkin park and metal of any variant holds a deep place in my heart, the music saved me, and many others in our darkest times. Chester is the only one of the famous people who I sobbed over when he passed. I can never thank him and the band for what they did for so many people.
A good song (not Linkin park) to check out is A song of Women by The Hu ft. Lizzy Hale, absolutely gorgeous song that just hits deep.
You should check out Chester's first band, Grey Daze. They just released a new album 'The Phoenix', and it's just as awesome as their Album 'Amends' released a few years ago!

If this was recorded in Ziggo Dome during the One More Light Tour I was in the stand, singing my lungs out and crying. Mine cousin who went with me to the concert pointed out that I had tears.
This songs had already a special place in my heart and able to sing it live with everyone is a memory I keep close to me till this day.
Sometimes it's hard to look at your own reflection, because you yourself don't know who you are.. that's a hard life, unfortunately he couldn't do it anymore God rest his soul

As great and powerful his screaming was.. the slower songs really showed his talent in singing. Pushing me away live (piano version) is another example of his talent. You should check it out
"He sounds like an angel" that's because he is. I am not even christian, agnostic at best, but I still believe in angels, not necessarily related to religion, more like greater creatures born by light, peace, love, and good. And I am 1000% convinced, and nobody can change my minnd, that several people on this earth are angels that were cast down here, maybe because periodically some angels or gods of light need to be here to either observe how humans are acting, or to try to bring us back onto the right path. Kurt and Chester were those angels, but their pureness and sensitivity had been shattered so much by this wretched, foul, rotten world, that they couldn't put up with it one second longer and had to retrieve their wings and flew back into the serenity heaven. The pain of this world was just too much for such immaculate beings, they couldn't put up with it. They opted to leave this planet, get back their wings, and fly away. I hope they're back in a beautiful space full of peace, where pain does not exist. I hate they had to suffer like that. I am grateful that due to their pain we have these amazing songs, but they should have never suffered that much, nobody should, it's inhumane.
