In 1985, I was one of the 1.5B people (more than 1/4 of the planet’s human population at the time) singing along with Freddy and Queen on that day. The moment was not lost on me then, as I realized this would never happen again. We could certainly use some of this now.

The single best rock and roll performance in the history of music. I was lucky to see it live. There will never be another talent like this ever. Freddy performed like it was his last day on Earth. Notice how he says, "and I thank you all" in the lyrics. He knew he was sick and dying at the time of this concert and gave 100%. He was simply the most fantastic live entertainer of his generation.

Always loved the lyric "You brought me fame, fortune and everything that goes with it. I thank you all." Part of the song but also directly addresses the audience which is what Queen were all about back then. RIP Freddie.
Then notice when he sings "it's been no bed of roses" and his hand gesture like he's actually speaking to you. The guy is truly incredible. The vocals and the face when he's singing "it was a challenge......etc, building up to the 2nd chorus... Blew me away! And to think he was actually ill that time where the doctor told him he needed to rest, but didn't. (hence why his vocals fell off slightly a couple of times towards the end - and the amount of sweat!!
Don't use God's name in vain Repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, for we are sinful people. We've lied, stolen, used God's name in vain, and looked at people with lust. totally agree!
Michael Jackson
Zeynab Sylla Michael Jackson didn’t even play at Live Aid
The lyricism, the performance, everything about it is what makes us love Queen.
Freddie Mercury is so iconic, he doesn’t sing like he wants, his vocal is full of emotions and power. After watching his performance of “We are the champions”, I cried from happiness. There will never be ANOTHER Freddie, he’s so charismatic and fantastic!!!! And also the appearance of costumes is interesting, of how he shows the character on the stage.
The best song ever in human life, when victory comes to the team that wins in every tournamen. Amazing!!
My 10 years old daughter just loves this song.can you imagine? Freddie passed away, The Queen is almost retired now but it doesn't matter. Their genius is all and all
a real lion's roar!!!
the best and most powerful voice in rock!!!
hail Freddie Mercury!!!
um verdadeiro rugido de leão !!!
a melhor e mais potente voz do rock !!!
salve Freddie Mercury !!!
ledgendary performance. 2:16 what an awe inspiring view and feeling when they show the p.o.v. camera angle as he's singing the chorus and as you watch that sea-of-humanity.
I’ve always loved the “ooooh” ad lib at 2:34 that Freddie would do in live performances of this song
Its my favorite part)))
Freddie Mercury give us fans timmles, untochable, outstanding and greatest live preformance of all time. There will never be another talent like this ever.He was simply the most fsntastic live entertainer of his generations.
Best performance in the world.
God love Queen and the beautiful legend that is Freddie Mercury 🙏🏼
Huge respect, admiration, and love for this incredible man - an unrivaled singer, songwriter, performer - putting every ounce of himself into every single performance. A gift to the world, he was, and so greatly missed. 💔
The “I thank you all” was just PERFECT in every way, shape or form
1:32 “I thank you All “ No Freddy we All thank you for bringing legendary music to the whole world 🌍 ❤️
I’ma be honest, I’m not a rock fan not even a Queens fan i know only couple of songs, but dammit this is the pinnacle of live performance
Thanks appreciate
You should !
It stuns me every time I watch it. I’m still speechless.
i am a heavy metal fan for 3 decades and I keep finding influences from Queen in many bands. A legendary band, a hugely unique one.
I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through
(And I need to go on and on, and on, and on)
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the world
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose
(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the world
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
Oh, we are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Thank you
Of the world
Ok
Thank God "of the world" is in the end here
Yep
I KNOW RIGHT
In my Opinion,This was Probably The Best Song They did At Live Aid..
LMAO everyone got sad cause he didn’t sing that in the album version
BakadereBat in fact it is, he nails both pre-choruses, a c5 and 3 chorus bb4s
