Bob Seger is one of the great American songwriters of that era. You can't go wrong with any of the hits: "Old Time Rock N Roll" and "Nights Moves" are no-brainers for reactions!
I know that I'm way late to the party but I'm so glad that you found Bob Seger. He's possibly my favorite artist ever. I've seen him several times in concert since he is from my hometown. A great voice as you noticed and one of the greatest songwriters/storytellers. He really doesn't have a bad song and I hope you do more.
Bob Seger (pronounced SEE-GER) not only one of the great male rock singers, but a fantastic songwriter (wrote all his own songs). Always told a clear story in his songs....timeless.
In an interview Bob Seger was asked how it felt like to be an overnight sensation his reply was "Yeah I'm a 10 year overnight sensation". Which meant it took him 10 years living this song to hit it big. When he did he was as they say "a hit machine".
Welcome to the world of Bob Seger! He has sooo many great songs, and he’s a great story teller. you’ll love them all! Check out “Like a Rock” official video, and “Night Moves”……my two favs.
As I understand it, this is a song about being a musician on the road for months at a time. The reactions you get, the loneliness and wanting to be home again. Journey's song "Faithfully", off the Frontiers album has a similar subject matter.
She might have not heard the original song Turn The Page from Bob Serge and the Silver Built Band but I'm guessing she heard the cover of this song and saw the video from Metallic.
Hi Kat, I just found your reactions with this reaction to Bob Seger's Turn the Page and love how you reacted to it. Yes, I'm an old Bob Seger fan, (62yo) and remember this song well as kid and listened to it growing up as a favorite of his. Another favorite Bob Seger song of mine from 1977 is , "BOB SEGER (1977) - MainStreet". I don't think you reacted to it yet, but I swear if you loved Turn the Page you will love Mainstreet. Just finding your channel, could you tell me where you are located? Your accent suggest maybe England? I am from the US. Scottish-Cherokee.
(rewatch and new comment) I like not having a vid to split my attention. He makes you feel like he means what he is singing. You feel he is singing to you. This is a very rare talent. Justin PS We all love you.
Thanks, Girl! This is a beautiful song.. really tells an emotional story of the loneliness of the "road" for some ... I hope you will also react to some of his others... one of my favorites is "night moves" - very evocative...
I’m from North Carolina/US but I’m hearing a Welsh accent? Would like to see you react to a Badfinger song. Not necessarily something like Baby Blue or No Matter What or Day After Day but perhaps The Name Of The Game? A Pete Ham song not that well known but a lovely song with immense feeling! Just a request.
My wife is a good bit younger than I am. So we're driving along on a roadtrip, and I have my playlist playing, but we usually have hers playing, so she's not used to my music. This song comes on, and about a minute into it she asks, "Who wussed up the Metallica song?" I still give her shit for that.
I know Seger says he likes Metallica cover but when I hear Alto Reid's sax the volume goes up. Metallica cover comes on the radio channel gets changed.
Wow, 3 requests in a row. And there is your sax too. It is about being on the road performing and "playing star again" Bob is a very intimate singer. He just seems to draw you in. Not the best voice but the best use of a good voice. You are the best, Thank you. -YourBiggestFan
good day, your eyes are as blue as the NC sky! I leave comments because I was forginet enough to see bands live back in the day, when it comes to Metallica get ready to feel the base in your chest when Lars hits the drums it's a weird felling,. but anyway I seen your reaction to srv voodoo child, check out "life with out you" Its awesome! be cool stay safe! D DAY DAVE.
I love night moves but I always recommend songs I feel Katie can relate to. Many people don't recognize what she goes through creating a reaction. Creating content on UA-cam is her art and this is her stage.
I still associate that song with a car ad... Mainstreet, hoolywood nights, old time rock and roll or Night moves would be better than like a rock or Against the wind.
This was an awesome song, and the Metallica version is excellent as well. I'd recommend "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister if you haven't ever heard it. The official video is a collection of home video clips taken over the course of their tour with Tina Turner played over a stage performance.
Only to a metal head, maybe ~ Like Justin said, not even close musically or vocally ~ Hetfield can't even hold Seger's beer when it comes to vocals ~ Song wasn't meant to be as dark and full of angst as Metallica makes it sound ~ Seger was 12 years on the road already when he wrote it, without national recognition, and he was tired...... He was nicknamed the Road Warrior and King of Arena Rock because he gigged nearly 300 days/year out of beat up vans and station wagons ~ He would play one night to 100 in a bar and the next night to 20,000 in an arena ~ His Live Bullet album which this track is from changed all that ~ As he says in interviews, we went from station wagons to jets......
Check out Traveling man/Beautiful loser from the same album as this song.. Live Bullet. I was there as a teenager with my older brother. I was already a fan of his before that show but from that day on he became my favorite and still is and will always be. Keep diving into the Seger rabbit hole. You will find many great songs . There are too many to even start a list. From Ballads to hard rockers, Bob covers it all and all are great.
It's a true story about how lonely it is touring on the road, and having to live with being called a women by redneck truck drivers just because you have long hair. This the song that all touring bands wished they'd wrote first
Bob Seger is one of the great American songwriters of that era. You can't go wrong with any of the hits: "Old Time Rock N Roll" and "Nights Moves" are no-brainers for reactions!
"Roll Me Away is another great by him with a somewhat similar vibe
I know that I'm way late to the party but I'm so glad that you found Bob Seger. He's possibly my favorite artist ever. I've seen him several times in concert since he is from my hometown. A great voice as you noticed and one of the greatest songwriters/storytellers. He really doesn't have a bad song and I hope you do more.
All Bob's songs are great.
Bob Seger (pronounced SEE-GER) not only one of the great male rock singers, but a fantastic songwriter (wrote all his own songs). Always told a clear story in his songs....timeless.
the way Bob sings this song is out of this world
In an interview Bob Seger was asked how it felt like to be an overnight sensation his reply was "Yeah I'm a 10 year overnight sensation". Which meant it took him 10 years living this song to hit it big. When he did he was as they say "a hit machine".

Bob seger is such a rock and roll legend. Obviously with a mix here and there of blues and soul but his whole catalog is Great and worth a listen
Keep in mind this is a live version, it’s a magical musical moment ✨
Whenever I hear this song I think of driving alone late at night. Just a time to reflect on your life. That sort of drive.
Like A Rock there is no comparison
As I understand it, this is a song about being a musician on the road for months at a time. The reactions you get, the loneliness and wanting to be home again.
Journey's song "Faithfully", off the Frontiers album has a similar subject matter.
Love some Bob Seger. Saw him several times in the 70s.
She might have not heard the original song Turn The Page from Bob Serge and the Silver Built Band but I'm guessing she heard the cover of this song and saw the video from Metallic.
Bob is a working class hero.
Hi Kat, I just found your reactions with this reaction to Bob Seger's Turn the Page and love how you reacted to it. I like not having a vid to split my attention.
He makes you feel like he means what he is singing.
You feel he is singing to you.

Thank you!! It's best that you didn't have the video distracting you!! Uncle Bob tells his stories thru verse, better than most!!
I want to cry man what a singer he is
I'd put this up as one of the best songs and top recordings ever.
The Live Bullet album that this was from was named by Rolling Stone as the best live LP made.
Recommendation "night moves" "come to poppa"
Great to see u again ❤
Check out Bob Seger "The Fire Inside"
A truly great cut by Bob that doesn't get enough mention. In my Seger top ten.
He always reminded me of Kenny Rogers and Joe Cocker mixed.
Metallica also covers this song. fyi.
Love this. You should tear Main Street. And Like a rock.
I'd like to see your reaction to Seger's "Her Strut."
2 more good songs by him is, night moves and hollywood nights
Justin knows his music
I'm a fan of anyone who can pull off finger-guns. :)
I would call Seger Detroit Soul.
This a hell of a track!
Metallica cover was fire too
My wife is a good bit younger than I am. So we're driving along on a roadtrip, and I have my playlist playing, but we usually have hers playing, so she's not used to my music. This song comes on, and about a minute into it she asks, "Who wussed up the Metallica song?"
I still give her shit for that.
I know Seger says he likes Metallica cover but when I hear Alto Reid's sax the volume goes up. Metallica cover comes on the radio channel gets changed.
@craenor tell her Metallica screwed up a great song.
Wow, 3 requests in a row.
And there is your sax too.
It is about being on the road performing and "playing star again"
Bob is a very intimate singer.
He just seems to draw you in.
Not the best voice but the best use of a good voice.
You are the best, Thank you.
-YourBiggestFan
Not the best voice? Bob's voice turns a song into a visual journey.
Great reaction 🤟 been a while sinse you did a swedish band /singer🤟🇸🇪
Come to papa next.
I forgot Like a Rock........
good day, your eyes are as blue as the NC sky! Must do" Night Moves" (not by Metallica).
I love night moves but I always recommend songs I feel Katie can relate to. Many people don't recognize what she goes through creating a reaction. Creating content on UA-cam is her art and this is her stage.
check out like a rock there is a video for that song chevrolet also used the song in its truck commercials in theearly 90s
I still associate that song with a car ad... Mainstreet, hoolywood nights, old time rock and roll or Night moves would be better than like a rock or Against the wind.
ps like your reactions
There is a video
This was an awesome song, and the Metallica version is excellent as well. I'd recommend "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister if you haven't ever heard it. The official video is a collection of home video clips taken over the course of their tour with Tina Turner played over a stage performance.
There is a vergin with a video
Now do metallicas version
Now please react to Metallica cover of this song
I said it before, I’ll say it again. Metallica’s cover is better!
Nah
no way
Not even close. Musically or vocally.
