Bob Seger is a STUD. His voice is so natural, even today. Not only is he and his Silver Bullet Band in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame but he's also in the Songwriters HOF too! He has so many hits. Let me give you a few: NIGHT MOVES AGAINST THE WIND OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS ROLL ME AWAY HER STRUT MAIN STREET BEAUTIFUL LOSER RAMBLIN GAMBLIN MAN ROCK AND ROLL NEVER FORGETS SHAKEDOWN So Many More!!! MORE BOB PLEASE!!!
Bob Seger is a huge rabbit hole! You can`t go wrong with any of his songs! Saw him in concert back in the 80s and he was AWESOME! Got to do Roll Me Away and Night Moves!
I lucked out seeing this Man in concert. Worked for a lawyer at the time. Early 80"s , His first Farewell tour, lol. The lawyers gave me their tickets. 3rd row, on the floor. CENTER. Of course, when we got there, there were people in our seats. BUT, we told them to sneak back, we would share. They did. lol. I didn't realize he was such a piano man. One of the best I had seen. I love his music. GREAT LIVE.
To my Father, who showed me the brilliance of Bob Seger. The four concerts we shared together and the fifth which you were sincerely missed. A tear fills my eyes when I hear this song, but is immediately replaced with the visions of memories shared. This song...this band is forever linked with my family. May others experience the joy and wonderment that my family has enjoyed for so many years.
My adult now kids mean the world to me ! We are very close and I can't believe how much I needed them in my life! Now I have 8 grandkids, 7 adopted and it's another level of joy to experience! Glad you had those moments in your life! Pay it forward to others ! Have a good day from SEATTLE WASHINGTON!!!
that was so beautifully said...you brought me to tears!!! I turned 21 the year this was released...I never got blessed enough to see him in concert like you, but I did experience many other great bands!!! Music is sacred to me....bound to so many amazing memories!!! Keep that part of your dad alive and with you forever!!!💜🎶🎼🎵🤘🤘🤘🤘
Until 1976, Seger and the band DROVE everywhere. “When you’re riding 16 hours and there’s nothing much to do” was the reality for so many bands to play gigs across the US and into Canada. No smart phones, no video, no internet. The ONLY way to build a career was to perform, record, and hope for radio play. Revenue was generated from vinyl sales. They had to produce an album a year. And the record company had to help get radio play. Bob’s first hit, ‘Ramblin Gamblin Man’ was in 1968, but he remained only a locally known artist for years. It seemed artists were allowed time to develop more back then, and had record deals for 3-5 albums. But artists had to be willing to stick it out for years of grinding before they might have a career. No opportunity to record something in your bedroom with garage band, and upload to UA-cam. Challenges today are different. But I hope good songs and talented musicians still get heard. ✌🏽
I remember back then payola was huge even though illegal it went on! And getting a manager that was good (Well) look what happened to Jimi Hendrix and many others.
Bro's, You'll love his "Old Time Rock n' Roll", "Hollywood Nights", "Night Moves" and "Katmandu". He writes his own songs. 18 studio albums, about 90 percent of the songs he wrote.
I went to a bob segar concert it was great I was up front I could touch the stage every one brought pot so I left stoned and deaf for almost 2days it was nice seeing him in person he would look Dow at me and smile I was 18 need I say more 🙋🏻♀️
Oh you have fallen into a deep rabbit hole ..... Bob is a legend in my world ..... this song is about himself and being on the road and the looks people would give him . He had hair down to his ass back in the day ....
Seger was a favorite among the Biker bars. Seger wrote a song called;" Roll Me Away" which is yet another excellent story telling epic. It depicts the feeling of freedom on a bike traveling from state to state. One of my favorites!
Saw Bob Seger at the age of 17. First concert I ever attended, still my favorite teenage experience. We lost the talented sax player, Alto Reed in the last few weeks. RIP
What a great song - and you got it exactly right - "turn the page" refers to the tour schedule - finish one show and onto the next. Hollywood Nights is a banger from them you should listen to next.
Seger is a great story teller. His smooth soulful voice is warm and pulls you in. I love seeing younger generations hearing and enjoying his music. Cheers!
One of the best voices & storytellers in Rock-n-Roll History 😎🎙 Saw them ( Bob & The Silver Bullet Band ) back in the early 80's , it was hell of a show ! You gotta check out his first hit..... Ramblin Gamblin Man ( w/Glenn Frye ( Yes The Eagles ) singing backup ) ( R.I.P Glenn ) I also love how Bob hangs back on the vocals and let's the words of the song take it till the end when he belts out that..... " On The Road Again " line ! Thats confidence in his abilities , knowing he could've belted that line anytime but saved it till the end ! One of the greats.... hold on guys it's gonna be a wild ride ! 😉 Then after Ramblin Gamblin Man I hope you have a comfortable chair because the list if his hits is very...............................long ! ✌😎
There is a similar song by the great singer-songwriter Jackson Browne that honors the roadies - the faceless guys behind the scene who break down and set up the shows from town to town. It's called "The Load Out/Stay" (two songs in one). Another great '70s classic. Highly recommend it!!
Bob Seger did fight against streaming music and back in the day the labels and the musicians were always getting taken advantage of. Seger never wavered and is very choosey on his songs in commercials. Loved your reaction to what we were fortunate enough to have daily blasting from our radios. Now there are so many more songs to go after and enjoy. You won't find many duds in his catalog. Enjoy and thank you guys.
Bob Seger is in the rockin roll hall of fame and the songwriters hall of fame. So you have a huge song selection to figure out. I grew up listening to this man's voice and I have seen him 6 times scene 1977. So I want to hear Jodi Girl from his live Silver Bullet released in 1976. The album Night Moves came out the same year and both albums went platinum in the same year.
#BroAction This was an autobiographical song for Bob Seeger. In his younger years he had really long hair. And the bands, when they toured, would ride in those great big busses (like a greyhound), filled with band, roadies, and such. So he’s singing about touring from town to town. The reactions of people when they would see home with that long, long, hair. And bring up there on stage.
I understand the desire to sing this song. It makes you feel: it is raw;, emotional. You feel the weariness and the loneliness, but you also feel an irresistible urge to overcome. It's an empowering song.. And, if the lonely wail of that saxophone near the end doesn't move you, you shouldn't be listening to music.
One of my favorite songs ever. Plaintive and from the heart and such great lyrics. Seger never sounded better. He obviously has a catalogue of great hits but this is IMO is his best.
This heart tears your heart out. Touring is so hard on relationships. "He smoked the days last cigarette remembering what SHE said ... Here I am on the road again PLAYING the star again"
What you guys pointed out at 5:30 is really what a travelling band goes through. Like AC/DC's Long way to the Top, or Bostons's Rock and Roll Band, or Jackson Brown's The Loadout.
The 70s had a lot of changes happening in the music industry. There were and more people able to make albums and you also started to see companies get involved in the industry that weren’t really that interested in music so much as they were interested in making a profit. And so I think a lot of artists found that things were being run differently and there was some friction there. It was this environment that led to the emergence of things like disco. That said, in my opinion, the seventies was the golden era of rock and roll. So many amazing artists and albums were made at that time.
Seger has been a long-loved rock legend for 45 yrs. Thanks for doing this, guys! Wait til you hear "Night Moves" , "Against The Wind", and "Roll Me Away"- spine-tingling. Oh, and by the way, he has another 15 or more hits. This man is a true treasure- and his band , the Silver Bullet Band, happens to absolutely rock, too! Dig into this and explore.
Thank you for playing Bob. You may like Ain't Got No Money, Sunspot Baby,Her Strut, Old Time Rock n Roll, Ramblin Gambling Man, Come To Pappa,....you get the idea.
I constantly listened to this (actual) record many nights when I was a teenager. I don't remember if this was the last song on the record but it was the last one that I listened to before going to sleep.
I love Bob Segar. If you haven't already done so, please react to "Like A Rock", "Hollywood Nights", "You'll Accompany me" and " Main Street". Thank you for playing the music of my youth!
Love Seger♥️ He is one of the best storytellers. If you want to a faster song try “Her Strut” Kathmandu” Hollywood Nights” Fire Down Below” Against the Wind” Mainstreet” Night Moves” You guys are going to really like Bob. Thanks for doing one of my favorite singer.🔥🔥
My all-time favorite Bob Segar song. It's about being on the road, going from town to town. Jackson Browne has one called The Load Out / Stay. Please react to that one as well. :)
One of the great story tellers, along with Jim Croce and Harry Chapin. "Like a Rock" and so many other great songs from Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
I love reaction videos featuring music from 60’s 70’s - I never thought about the words, really. I was too young. But, yes, life goes on, turn the page.
I was almost 4 years old (with early 20 something, music loving parents) when this came out and it’s one of those songs that feels like I was born knowing every word to. I’ve heard this song from as early as I can remember and it never gets old!
Every day is a page in the Book of your Life. You don't know how many pages are in the Book, but it's your hand that writes the Story. You are the Author of your Life. Don't count the pages... make the pages count.
I say the greatest single singer of all time. He sounds better live as he does the studio version. All of his songs are great. Out of all of his great singers his ONLY #1 hit was "Shakedown" from Beverly Hills Cop 2.
Who doesn't want to sing this powerful song? Make sure to SUBSCRIBE to our channel guys and follow us on all SOCIAL MEDIA! Peace.
'Against the Wind' , ''Night Moves', 'Roll Me Away' are a few of his many wonderful songs❤
You're right, but it's still DEEPER .

I love his song "Come to PaPa." You want to hear some great guitar and percussion, listen to that one.

Bob Seger is the quintessential American rocker! Such a masterful storyteller and one of the best voices in the industry!
Bob Seger is a huge rabbit hole! You can`t go wrong with any of his songs! Saw him in concert back in the 80s and he was AWESOME! Got to do Roll Me Away and Night Moves!
Bob Seger is so much better to me as an older woman. I had no idea how fantastic he was/is. NIGHT MOVES!!!
I lucked out seeing this Man in concert. Worked for a lawyer at the time. Early 80"s , His first Farewell tour, lol. The lawyers gave me their tickets. 3rd row, on the floor. CENTER. Don’t miss the part where he’s being judged or labeled because of his hair
in certain parts of the country or around the world. Awesome artist. 🎶
An American icon to my family.
that is Exactly how it was back in that time...
Ship of Fools is a great song but often overlooked. You'll appreciate it.
He gets to me now just like he did 50 years ago. Listen to all of his songs...please!
(His long hair was pretty awesome too lol)

Bob Seger has many great tunes..!!! I suggest "Main Street" and "Night Moves"

The real challenge today is the insane number of bands and music available to be heard or overlooked.
I remember back then payola was huge even though illegal it went on! And getting a manager that was good (Well) look what happened to Jimi Hendrix and many others.

“Playing the star again”. Those words tell me that he is an humble, down-to-earth guy.

Great song. Bob has lots of good ones. Like a Rock is a good one.

That song always makes me want to drive cross country. Nowhere to go, no responsibility, just Bob and the open road.

Quintessential anthem for touring artists everywhere. Transports you to another world... *their* world. Will always be my favorite Seger cut.

Live Traveling man into Beautiful Loser. Great stuff from early in his career. Love this story teller, songwriter. Great reaction!
"...turn the pa-a-a-ge---uh!......"
Main Street is a must. You will hear a guitar truly weep.
One of the great story tellers, along with Jim Croce and Harry Chapin. "Like a Rock" and so many other great songs from Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
Great song we had both our Junior and Senior year of high school prom songs “Turn the Page” & “We’ve Got Tonight” by Bob Seger great memories
All his songs tell a story that people can relate to. My favorite is Roll Me Away best song to drive to.
The first time I slow danced with a guy was this song - about 45 years ago.
You guys are really hitting some of the most perfect rock songs of all time almost every day. Seger's one of the best and this was one of his best
