And today's country is country? Most country artists are failed rock and roll bands 💯. Look at all the artists in leather and chains! 🤣😂🤣. Bob's song sounds like a hybrid to me like every other song. They play kid rock on country stations 🤣😂🤣

This is absolutely rock n roll. Todays country music has changed that some sounds like rock! I can appreciate both. With that said, Bob Seger has always been one of my favorites. True emotion in his voice and each word. The music notes will carry you into his story and you can “see” what he’s singing.

Back in the seventies, being on tour meant you were zig zagging across the country in a big old bus. Bob Segar and Jackson Browne both did several songs about the toll it took. Segar's Roll Me Away and Browne's Running on Empty and Load Out/Stay are songs that let you know it was taking a lot out of them. These guys also played their own music and sang live, no lip synching back then. A concert wad $20.00 and it lasted a couple of hours. Today, everything is recorded in a studio, they use private planes to get around, they lip sync through the whole concert that only lasts 45 minutes and it will cost you $200.00 or more.

He is a MIchigan boy. And his music is considered Rock. This just happens to be a mellow song. Check out more Bob. 'Old time rock & roll' is fun tune. 'Night moves' is mellow like this. I was a 21-year-old woman back in 1973 when I saw this concert in LA when I was visiting my sister she took me out for my birthday and we had the greatest night of our lives! I return to Alaska and in my dreams I return to LA a young woman every once in a while.

One of my favorite albums back in the day! I listened to it endlessly, late into the night, on my headphones, when I was supposed to be going to sleep. The whole album was fantastic. I owned several of Bob Seger's albums. "Like a Rock" was also a favorite. "Night Moves" was also a particular favorite!

Greg, I highly recommend Simple man by Lynyrd Skynyrd, it has the same vibe as this and was also written in the 70s. I think everyone would agree this is a song you should do next.

Still a fan of Bob after 50 years and have all his albums (the vinyl ones) When you listen to all his songs, you'll be a fan for life. I love to watch you react to the song and how you move with the music. I do the same thing. Love it!

Bob started touring when he was 15-16 yo. On the weekends his band would drive 16 hours from Michigan to Florida or Michigan to Texas etc… for gigs, do the gig, turn around drive back to Michigan so he could be back for school Monday morning. He definitely paid his dues. 50+ years of touring. What a legend

You know the old saying: You can't judge a book by its cover? Well, you can't judge an album by its cover, either. The truth is, back in the early 70's, Country and Western artists did not dress or look like Bob does on this cover. Back then, most were either in cowboy hats and clothes or were clean cut, often wearing suits. Bob looks like an early 70's rocker. The so-called "Outlaw Country" look came later.

It's cool that you're listening to the lyrics and not just the beat! You have to listen to words to understand the story! He's got a bunch more great songs! And he is, without a doubt, one of the most underrated song writers out there! I've seen him 13 times! He was the first concert I ever went to. It was 1976 at the Toledo sports arena. I was 14 years old. I will never forget it, me two of my buddies! Rock on Bob Rock!
