Mine keeps saying too close to a cliff please reposition I am I even resetted it and I cleaned it all and it keeps saying it 😭 I don't even know what to do??
Okay, I found something that absolutely one-hundred-percent fixed my Error 7 issues. After checking all of the sensors and making sure that there was nothing obvious wrong with my Shark IQ, I simply deleted the current map. It was behaving as if it was sitting on a cliff or a drop when it was several feet from one and I wondered if it had become confused and the map was corrupted. After deleting the map I told it to start all over from scratch and it has been working like a charm. Just like brand new. It worked for me so if you don't have any bad sensors or anything else physically wrong with your vacuum, give it a try. You might be as fortunate as I was.
Can u please help me. Mine would charge and everything is good but when I hit to work , it stops and it wants me to clean it but it’s already clean ? Can you tell if it’s a sensor? Please advise. Thank you .
shark rv1001ae need to know what next replaced motherboard, two left side sensors and dust bin sensor says ready to clean and does nothing what is next to try
Hi Smitty, is there a way to disable this sensors? I have this error again and again and I don't have stairs or something like that, the robot is just on circles, also getting erro with the boudary strip.
I tested my cliff sensors with a multimeter before I bought replacements and I’m glad I did because the multimeter confirmed the leds for both the transmit and receive were both good regardless of the light test with the camera. The board does have a small black spot on the connector so I’m guessing the board has a burned pin I’ll have to find a way to test the board before buying anything.
Great videos! But I haven't been able to find the model I have - a UR1105ARUS. On mine, the vacuum motor went out - so I purchased a replacement and went to work R&Ring it.... When I removed the top cover, a small PC board (marked 'Dust Cup Hall (or Holl) PCBA) came loss and fell out of its place. Markings in it include the following: E486784, K01-RV-02-05, 0080749. I didn't see where it came from or where it goes back. I completed the repair or the vacuum, except placing that PC board in its rightful place, and it all functions - except that it now has a hard time docking and although the tower does it job, I get an error on my phone "I am unable to empty debris into the dock dust bin. Please empty my dock dust bin and remove blockages.". Do you have any idea where that PC board fits back in place? Thanks in advance!!
I bought it and brought it to another country, when I got here as soon as I called it, it presented error number 7 even before mapping, can you help me?
Good morning, when my robot shark starts up it says it has problems with the sensors and it doesn't seem to walk in the app it tells me to place it on a flat surface, how can I get it repaired?
my shark IQ got into dog poo, cleaned everything down to the frame, unit was completely a part. now I get the error #7. I think the sensors are specific and I could have put them in the wrong location. How can I tell which sensor goes where?
You can probably use any personal security cameras you have in your home that uses night vision mode. I was even able to see the IR with my doorbell camera.
Is there a way to bypass the cliff sensor? If so, can you show us how? After an hour on customer service with shark, I’ve learned my shark is a brick because of error 7 and there are no replacement sensors. The machine can function just fine if I can get the cliff sensor figured out.
I successfully replaced the cliff sensors in my shark vacuum but now it can't find the dock. It tries to go in front firstr instead of backwards. What did i do that could cause this?
I have a Shark AI 2520 and it got the cliff sensor error and resting it didn't work. I of course did the sensible thing and bought new ones. I've replaced all the sensors, but I didn't reattached the wheel cables to the motherboard and now I have no idea which ports they go into. There's only one open port and it's too small for the wheel cable. HAAAAAAALPP
How do I find someone who works on these robots. I have a brand new one never used and it wont move the clean button and dock button blinks red and green back and forth. None of the vacumn places in my location works on them. And info would be greatly appreciated
Hey great videos. I have a front left cloff sensor that either looks cracked or something inside. Do you have a video on how to replace it. I called shark and they said they do not sell that part. Thanks
Is there a fix to move the robot to a level surface, error #10? I have moved this thing to a level surface and it is not working any ideas would be great help for me thank you
My dog pooped and the shark ran it over. I tried to clean it the best i could but now it says error number 7. Could it be that the battery got wet while i was cleaning it? Should i change the battery? Please help
So when taking out one of the wheels from my unit, one of the wired connectors got damaged. I cannot for the life of me find a replacement anywhere. Any ideas on where I might get one? I'd hate to have to purchase a new $300 vacuum to replace what is probably a $5 part.
@@SmittysWorld any idea on what could cause this: vacuum can't find dock and seem to get stuck running into wall over and over again. Replaced motherboard but still does the same thing.
@@heatherduperly9869 hmm interesting does your front bumper love freely , did you replace the bump sensors and everything with the motherboard. How did the wheel circuits look
Do you know what the dark colored lights do? They almost look purple. They are part of the motherboard and also the side sensors. What about the silver looking sensors? One has a black and yellow wire that leads to the motherboard.
Trying to fix my friend's shark IQ.... evidently his ex let her ankle biter dog use the house like it's personal toilet... The shark did it's job over the mess. You get the picture. Have painstaking disassembled and cleaned the whole assembly but am getting an error code 7. Any ideas on how to move forward?
Animal pee is terrible for the electronics sensors are toast probably best to throw it away to be honest if less then a year old clean it up call customer service tell them it doesn’t work see if they will warranty it.
This makes perfect sense. I've used my phone's camera to test infrared emitters for all sorts of things. I'm using a pixel 7 Pro and the camera on that thing is phenomenal so I was able to check for the sensor lights in a fully lit kitchen LOL. Here's my situation that I'm not clear on. Each one of these sensors appears to have two lens pieces both at oblique angles to each other, but there is only one emitter light visible in each one. Does that mean that all the sensors are bad or all of them are good even though I only see one light in each lens set? I did not see any blue lights at all. Thanks!
There are two sensors, one is the infrared that emits the light and the other is like a camera that measures the distance of the light. I have error code 7 problem sometimes, I cleaned, check did everything and the infrared light are working but I don't know how to diagnose the camera. How do I know wish work and wish is my problem.
I tried the phone trick and saw sensor lighters in all of the front sensors (looked kind of purple). Vacuum is still giving me the error. I did notice that some of them have a red led that is visible and some don't (can see with normal light). Does the blinking red led mean anything?
we just bought it and opened the robot today and it mapped the house fine. i wanted to map it again just to make sure it got it correct and now it keeps saying error 7 and to clean the sensors
mine is doing same thing but only on my area rug. it's got big rectangles on it outlined in black with different colors inside, keeps reading the black lines are a cliff and does the whole I side of square no problem til it does it 5 times and then it's done and says the error
Smitty, I'd love to talk to you about my IQ, everything works but it won't charge the battery. I put a new battery in still won't charge. It's like it doesn't know it's on the base. I know the base is good other one works fine.
do you have it backwards? I had an older one that went on charger with the buttons toward the base. the new one I just got has the charger things on the other side. when I first set mine up to let it charge before I used it. came back later and realized I put it backwards so had to wait til next day
I just got a brand new Shark AI robot (one of the new LiDAR ones). After only using once it’s giving me error #7 saying the cliff sensor is blocked. They are sending me a new unit under warranty. Is it worth me trying to fix this one? I hate to throw out a brand new unit…they don’t want it back. I did recently replace the brush motor in my Shark IQ robot so I have some familiarity with taking it apart.
@@SmittysWorld That is a good idea actually isn’t it? And I can store it in its box since I keep the box anyway so it’s not even taking up any space. Will do. Thanks! Could have used a brush motor recently. 😊
