I just purchased one of these robot vacuums off of the Facebook market and boy is it absolutely filthy. I just watch the video and I plan on cleaning it tomorrow.❤
Awww. PARIS YOU WILL GET IT CLEAN.
YOUR MOM.
Wow JaD thank you so much for being here with the ultimate go-to content for taking care of my darling robot Baby Shark. We had no idea there was the bottom debris drawer. With 2 dogs and 1 cat that container was packed like a brick after 3 weeks of use without being emptied. My life is easier with this amazing appliance and now even better with your info. TYVM
Lucky for me I already had the blower! After only 2 days our lovely 3yr old chihuahua left a mess and before I knew it my SharkIQ grabbed it and was heading back to the base and started dumping it. I couldn't have figured out what to do without your video!
Oh wow!
I feel terrible that I haven’t done a great job with cleaning my filters. Your video was awesome. Now I will keep up with cleaning all the nooks and crannies. Thanks so much.
You can do it!
“Nice and clean” ✨✨
You know it
07:00 Wonderful explanation! I was watching to see which side of the flat round tabbed filter goes face down in the self emptying unit. There are 2 different sides, so there must be a correct way… and thank you!
I love my robot. I over cleaned the cliff sensors and they became cloudy from the inside, causing the error code 7. I need to really disassemble it to get to them to properly detail them back to good functioning health... one day. One day 😅
thank you !!! I watched others and couldn't get anything from them. You explained it perfectly !!! Super helpful !
I'm so glad!
First of all, I have to tell you that you inspired me. I ordered an X power air duster. Talk about powerful! I have a shark robot, vacuum and for a while I cannot figure out why she wasn’t emptying into the dust bin. I watched your video and had a lightbulb moment. I ordered one of the X power air dusters, and this morning. My robot vac got a real cleaning out. The other day before I had this air duster, I used my blow dryer and that helped a little bit. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.
Good job!!! very Proud of you!!!!
I was just thinking I don’t want to buy a whole blower so I used my shark blowdyer and did the same thing 🙌🏽multi use
Great video!! I use my sharky at least a few times a week and was intimidated to even open it up! Boy was it overdue. I could tell in the loss of suction. It wasn’t making the prominent crop circles it used on my carpet lol.
Thank you for this video. Like new again!
Thanks for helpful video. Am interested, what is that air compressor blower? Name? Thanks
Thanks!
Very helpful video to do maintenance and keep it working properly!!
Your welcome!!!
Well done! Thank you for showing me where that filter was in the base. I couldn't see where it went.
Thanks for the link for the blower. I am buying that for sure!
awesome!

Your so welcome!!
Wanted to say thank you. Came across your video today and helped me figure it out for my model 👍🏽
Glad it helped!
Great video. Thank you! Have you ever rinsed off the paper filter?
Not yet
Can we used a small vacuum instead cuz I don’t own a blower 😅😮???
Awesome video! I recently made a video as well reviewing this and briefly talking about maintenance
Thanks for Watching!! How do you like your vacuum?
@@JustADad does an awesome job
@@untitledlabel Yeah I agree I have this one and the Shark AI and I love it even more.
How do you get the front wheel off?!? I got cat hair stuck there, limiting the movement of the wheel. And how do you get the side wheels off so they can be deep cleaned?
My two year old machine just went dead. I ordered a new battery and replaced it but its still dead. any suggestion.
Where do I buy new filters
Thanks daddy
No problem
What's the name of that blower????
Anyone have a cure for error 26?
(Dust bin not emptying itself when it docks)
How do I change out damaged sweeper brush? It’s got a weird screw holding it in.
It should just pop off
Pry it off at the rim with a thin screwdriver. Don't pull the brush. Work the thin screwdriver around gently and it'll pop off. Then push down a new one.
I have the same unit. It was given to me by someone who did not understand it. It had never been cleaned and was chock full clogged within the mobile part. The base station had never been emptied. So I am quite familiar with every cleaning maintenance aspect. There are no pets in my house. The floors are more bare than carpeted. In my experience one month is far too much time between mobile unit cleaning. Three days is more like it!
My procedure is similar to yours, except I use a shop vac. I do not have air blowing capability. The square filter is best smacked on a flat surface first to dislodge the super fine particles before using the shop vac to reverse through the filter. A shop vac and a cheap chip brush works well cleaning every part of the mobile unit. You did not show removing the roller bearing end to remove the hair and fibers that wind up in that section.
The base station collection bin, ie the part you lift off, can be washed in water and some detergent to help lift of dirt. Wiping it out with a damp towel is really all that is necessary.
The base station sponge filter and the flat disk filter underneath it are best washed in water. I am surprised you are not doing that in light of all the other stuff you show. Just fill up a sink and start squeezing the sponge until the water shows no evidence of suspended solids. It will take many rinses like this to remove all the fine particles. The same applies to the flat disk filter, which may appear to be clean but will surprise you with what you see comes out in the water. Both will become perfectly clean. Press the flat disk between towels to remove the bulk of water and finish drying with a hair dryer. The same applies to the sponge. Insert the hair dryer into one end of the sponge while covering the other end with your palm.
Why not rinse under the faucet?
@@eileenllopez9046 Referring to the square filter in the mobile unit, that was the first thought but I do not want to chance water dissolving the filter media and/or the glue’s holding it together. It looks like more paper than a rigid other fiber material. I’ve seen original VW cabin filters that can survive soaking days in the harshest solution and I’ve seen and gently washed paper shop vac filters that fall apart when wet if you breathe on them. The process I use works just fine and I am already there with the shop vac doing the rest of the guts. If I washed that thing then it is extra work to dry all the nooks and crannies. Usually I want it to be running right off and it is a frequent task. It's a matter of convenience.
Mine is so loud. Like a helicopter any tips to make it quieter?
mine is kind of loud also. Sorry
You do this every month? 😮
Yes
Watched the whole thing to see how to replace the on/off switch. Unfortunately you didn't mention it.
I've been trying to find a solution to properly install the two hand brushes. I've ordered correct parts but when I push them on, it does not stay on and ends up getting sucked up ! Any recommendations?! I compared ours to yours and it doesn't look any different
Thanks
