1 year ago, at age 24, I began working out. I was a scrawny kid who abused his body with alcohol, cigarettes and drugs for 7 years straight. Came a long way because of men like Chad, and still got ways to go. By new years I'll be doing a re-run with the right weight and vest, for sure.

57 minutes and 12 seconds with a 10 kg wighted vest. Even though I used to run long distances some years ago, I'm not anymore in the game of running and the second 2.4 km were very tough. However, the most difficult part was the burpees one, when I was somewhere between 20-30 I thought I wouldn't finish this test in less than an hour but I managed to control my thoughts and finish it. I'm not used to doing burpees and my shoulders were burning in every rep. Splits: Squats: 1 minute 2.4 km (1.5 miles): 13 min 100 burpees: 28 min 2.4 km (1.5 miles): 15 min
This looks like so much fun 😃 can't wait to get started. I saw the video about Jake sounds like he was great dude make you run for punishment and runs with you for his own accountability. Thank you ❤️🙏
I'm 40 and it legit breaks my dang heart that I cant do this. "Tennis elbow" is a nasty demon. Take care of your forearms gents, or at least thats how I think I got it. A forearm muscle imbalance. I can squat, run, and do a lot of lifts, but pull ups and cleans are murder on my hurt tendon. Been dealing with it for 4 months now. Be grateful if you are injury free, it aint fun. Love these videos.

Thanks for that it’s always good to switch up workouts I’ve got a bad habit of just doing same workout every day my son and I been watching this channel for probably almost two years we learned a lot and we now run every morning and lift thank you
32:35 without weight vest. I workout of my garage, and unfortunately don’t have a weight vest for training yet. Excellent workout, very HERO WOD like. It will def be more spicy with weight vest. Sets of 10 with a few breathes and sweat wipe on burpee pulls ups is the way to go. Awesome content man!
I just made my first attempt ! 1 hour 13 minutes. 20 pound vest for runs only. Squat with 95 pounds only. Burpee pullups in sets of 10 felt good. Great test.
I've worked in construction theblast 15 years. I'm more in shape and can lift heavy objects on the regular more so than others my age and weight. Running isn't my strong suit, but I can if needed. And I can adapt with the mental fortitude if needed.
Thank you for great videos and developing lifelong fitness mind set. I was looking for something new and at 68 years old I will look at this workout and adapted to my level. I'm thinking that I'll start at 10-20% of the workout and build from that point. My biggest challenge will be the pull ups. Thanks again.
I'm 60 with a bad back, shoulders & a bad right knee. No way I could even attempt this. I was getting tired watching you Chadd 😂. My previous laborious jobs wore my joints/tendons out. I was working out regularly in my younger years too. More power to those who have the health & stamina to be able to do this type of exercising.
Me too. I don’t know if it was his nerves or what. But he was breathing hard after just explaining the burpee pull-ups. I’m gonna try it this afternoon
I'm 59 and I'm gonna give this a go. I've been doing the Israeli infantry test which is 3000 m run in 15:33, 7 pullups, 11 dips, 7 jump squats with 130 lbs and a 300 m sprint but this seems much harder. Thank you!
For two decades I have separated training disciplines; strength work gets its own day(s) and conditioning gets its own day(s). On occasion, the two are combined for a “test” or “calibration” session (focused on identifying which quality needs more attention). I generally do not do “general preparedness” tasks; I prefer to keep my movement and conditioning selection specific to the tasks I will seek to perform. In this way, I have been able to make better progress by taking a targeted approach. I am not saying mine is THE way to do it or that it will get you through selection. However, great minds such as Alex Viada (Complete Human Performance), hold to the same methodology.
42:14 with the vest at 35 years old, 5’10” 220lbs. I did the scaled with the bike bc it’s bloody cold out and I have a squirrel heart. I used to be in the ranger regiment and this is similar to the RPAT in design but differs in movements. Great test thx m8.
The thing I like about this guy is that if I met him on the street, I wouldn't think for a second what kind of warrior he is. With the beard and long hair he doesn't seem dangerous. I pity anyone who tries to underestimate him.
50 min, with vest, have to bike because I ruptured my Achilles tendon 10 months ago so the weight plus impact wouldn’t be smart just yet, all in all felt good. Hands are a mess but physically felt fine loved it
This with a 20lb vest is significant. Ain’t easy, even without the weight. I could do my Murph runs & squats with the 20lb vest/ruck, but could never do the push-ups and pull-ups with that weight. Especially not the pull-ups. Boats & logs for miles builds this strength.
I was like oh I gotta incorporate this workout in my routine, but then I hear with 20# vest! That's nuts! 😳 Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna try it and keep trying until I can do. 💪

Splits:
Squats: 1 minute
2.4 km (1.5 miles): 13 min
100 burpees: 28 min
2.4 km (1.5 miles): 15 min
Good stuff. Thanks for posting. I have a lot of work to do.
This looks like so much fun 😃 can't wait to get started. I saw the video about Jake sounds like he was great dude make you run for punishment and runs with you for his own accountability. Thank you ❤️🙏
This guy is an absolute beast.
You're more of a beast than I thought you were.
I'm probably a year or two away from even attempting this 😳. Started running 3 months ago because of this channel and it's going well, guess I better start working for this as well.
Thanks for that it’s always good to switch up workouts I’ve got a bad habit of just doing same workout every day my son and I been watching this channel for probably almost two years we learned a lot and we now run every morning and lift thank you
Good video brother, that's some hard stuff! but good stuff. Keep walking with our KING!
Done this workout twice, great for a benchmark
Ive been in the porkchop platoon for far too long. Thank you fir the motivation.
damn. this is one helluva standard to work toward. time to get stronger.
Thanks for the knowledge and the opportunities. There’s a great future ahead. Let’s get Navy Seal Fit.
you are an inspiration brother
He is a beast!
Good lord! I've got work to do...
Great test.
My God, those quads are crazy Chad!😮
God bless you all. Dont forget to pray a little or a lot.
awesome workout combat standard i couldnt do it in 2 hours but motivates me to start some of them thank you
Love the daily videos keep it up using your navy seal background and stories of overcoming challenges to spread the gospel love it all glory to God!!!
Good job chat, people really underestimate the front squat. happy New Year
I've worked in construction theblast 15 years. I'm more in shape and can lift heavy objects on the regular more so than others my age and weight. Running isn't my strong suit, but I can if needed. And I can adapt with the mental fortitude if needed.
Lol, I'd recognize my buddy chad from anywhere. Good to see you brother
I came to watch you do it Chadd!
Thank you for great videos and developing lifelong fitness mind set. I was looking for something new and at 68 years old I will look at this workout and adapted to my level. I'm thinking that I'll start at 10-20% of the workout and build from that point. My biggest challenge will be the pull ups. Thanks again.
This is pretty tough but I'm up for it. Then add 20lb vest....shiiitttt... thanks chad!!!
Sweet workout. Definitely have to try this. Thank you sir
Awesome video. Thanks for posting
Thanks, Chadd.
This is an amazing video. Giving me great inspiration!
i'm an old fat man pushing 64. i am going to work towards this goal. fitness and nutrition will be more important in our future than people get.
Me and my buddy will be trying this out this week
Subbed! Going to work to meet the standard.
Thank you for giving another option for running, I’m diabetic type 1 and sometimes my blood sugar gets low, it sucks.
Been getting back into my intense work outs the last 3 or 4 weeks. Im going to try this in a couple weeks. I’ll send you a video when I do.
I’d like to see Chad do the Fire Fight section with 20 lbs plate on. That part is wild.
Me too. I don’t know if it was his nerves or what. But he was breathing hard after just explaining the burpee pull-ups. I’m gonna try it this afternoon
@@no1fibersplicer525 noticed this too. I wonder if it was because he had already been working out prior to this video.
I'm 59 and I'm gonna give this a go. I've been doing the Israeli infantry test which is 3000 m run in 15:33, 7 pullups, 11 dips, 7 jump squats with 130 lbs and a 300 m sprint but this seems much harder. Thank you!
You should try the Palestinian infantry test instead
Freaking incredible!
thank you brother!!!!!!!!
It would be great to see different ways to progress from modifications into standard
Incredible!
I watched this video as soon as I woke up today, went to find a bar in park nearby , did 100 burpees and pull ups . Great challenge
I’m saving this to follow until I get it done and can do it on the regular
Boats & logs for miles builds this strength.
i was just thinking about the murph challenge while watching this !!
I was like oh I gotta incorporate this workout in my routine, but then I hear with 20# vest! That's nuts! 😳 Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna try it and keep trying until I can do. 💪
If you've ever been to AIT, search and destroy and urban combat, it takes everything, love my TIs, they kept me alive
I am 51 and have struggled with some bad health. My goal is to meet or exceed the Marine Corps PT standards for young Marines. I have no delusions of being Reacher i just sense war coming and want to either be useful in it or have the ability to get the hell out of the way.
A great workout 55 and it is a great workout
Combat Standards test
25 front squats, from the ground unbroken, 135lbs
1.5 mile run
100 burpee pull ups, with a dead hang to make it a real pull up

1 hour time cap
