Also a lot of trt is why he can get out of bed with all those injuries lol my injuries have been much worse and I've had multiple orthopedic surgeries, this is not possible without TRT.
I’ve always been a fan of that explosive powerful military training. Reminds me of the mentality my coaches instilled within me at a young age and it’s definitely helped me overcome several obstacles. Your mind is always over your body!
Thank u for sharing. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression and panic attacks and I’ve been trying to find a group of guys like this to get together and lift each other up and support each other. I’m praying I find some men like this to help me with my walk in life as well. God bless u
Been following and learning from GBRS group for the longest and when they started big supporter of DJ and Cole very happy to see that they have collab with Raw .. which I am also a massive supporter and consumer of … cheers boys and gals and have a blessed day!
Glad to see you guys putting time into your hard skills. These skills are extremely important for American civilians to be trained in in order to be prepared for worse case scenarios.
I think I work pretty hard at the gym. Had the opportunity a few years back to spend some time at buds and my god hats off to the guys that to train to that level. I couldn't believe the amount of discipline displayed.
Awesome you were at buds but nobody trains to that level. As you know it’s just meant to be a massive suck fest meant to get rid of the mentally weak. At least in first phase. Hope you got something out of it man🦾
Yes, always cut out negativity and be mindful of how you spend your time! don’t fill that time up with negative things and bad vices that fill in what you really need. If you can justify those thoughts, you have, and connect them to positivity and how it made, you better, is the goal.
The RAQ x GBRS collabs are always incredible. I was wowed by the training session but was really hit hard with DJ's message at the end. It takes a humble person to be able to combine physical aptitude with mental/emotional fortitude. Much love
I have walked in every season and at every hour of the day/night in town as well as the woods. God is our friend, you can walk and talk with him anytime..any place. Gratitude; hope faith and love are are all entangled with each other. Seeing you guys take a walk together out of pure gratitude and positivity is in my opinion; more important than the training itself. Bad guys can train, but they dont have what yall have I can promise you that. Rock on
Love this episode. Yes, it’s nice to look good and aesthetic, but it’s important to be able to use your strength and be functional with it. Definitely adjusting the split! Thank you for all the hardwork guys 😂
i hope you guys go further with them, we would love to see ypu guys in the range and field getting ready. espeially right now. i know most of you dont wanna think about that stuff but at the end of the day, you may have no choice. and it would show the world yoou can be big and powerful.
This was such an intense and inspiring episode. Everyone should be incorporating some sort of training style that is functional for your own protection not just for aesthetics 👏 the 30 min walk and team protein shake was also 🔥
The only thing about having that much muscle is that it is really not for prolonged action... Nothing wrong with that, if you are Spec Ops, direct action oriented.... Get in, get violent and get out... But for "regular” Infantry and even some spec ops groups that are Tier 3 or Tier 2 adjacent where you are in a combat environment consistently for days or weeks or months at a time, eating out of a bag, sleeping on the ground or in a fighting hole, never getting any real recovery time then it is more important to have good cardio over massive muscles which require a lot of oxygen and calories to keep... That's why a lot of Marine Infantry tend to be leaner than Spec Ops guys... Different missions require different, but somewhat similar, abilities..... Plus, I always wanted to present the enemy withas small a target as possible! 😁
You’ve obviously never worked with a high performance conditioning coach. Listening to “gym talk” from people who don’t know shit can hurt you. I was Intel support to a platoon for 4 years (rarely went on mission but always ready since I was a qualified interrogator) and I can tell you, these boys spend SO MUCH extra time on mission waiting for T2/T3 units to “regroup” as they cry on the sides of mountains in AFG while my boys were scouting enemy positions it wasn’t even funny. You need that muscle and cardiovascular endurance to carry the combat load of a modern troop.
@@gouldnj not sure what you're trying to say... when I was in Iraq in '03 I was lean, about 150-ish, and I never had any problems carrying gear on mission... I was Marine Infantry then and I did 6 years as a Grunt before I went to the Army Nasty Guard... I did 10 years as a Grunt and did another tour of Iraq w/ the Guard.... the missions we ran didn't require as much muscle mass as they did cardio; we weren't weak, but strength was not our main focus, in either branch... but I wasn't a high speed Intel weenie waiting to actually do something, so I could be wrong about what I actually experienced.....
@@dvldog_ i was marine infantry and let me tell you cardio was good but the main fitness components you need are being able to sprint and lift heavy, the best dudes were both strong and conditioned
Great training very knowledgeable but how many of these guys are natural and what happens when they stop using? There is an argument push-ups are more functional then the bench press
I have a sternoclavicular dislocation from a recent motorcycle accident. Been super bummed after finding out it will be permanently dislocated, and have been wondering if I'll ever be able to lift for upper body again. Good shit man. Good shit. 💪
Update lol: after the accident, I had to buy my first electric toothbrush because I couldn’t brush my teeth right handed. I started resistance training with weight 4 months ago, 2 months after getting sober. When I started, I could barely do 7 push ups from my knees because it hurt so bad. Pull ups were completely out of the question. I couldn’t even budge from a dead hang…literally, I couldn’t even move. To my surprise, I could however shoulder press 10 lb dumbbells over my head (my orthopedic surgeon told me I’d never be able to do any over head lifting, by I tried anyway). That gave me a glimmer of hope, so I started from there. After only 4 months of training, I’m now doing 70 REGULAR pushups, 14 pull ups, and shoulder pressing 35 lb dumbbells for 5 sets of 12 reps. And, tomorrow will be 6 months of sobriety! Look out, ladies, this fat boy is back!!!
Physiques will change when GWOT is absorbed by near peer threats. Being built like a house and taking juice will be less useful and replaced with what a blend of endurance and lean muscle like how a marathon runner meets a boxer.
I was on Virginia beach in Nov years ago. I was on the beach at 7am and we thought we saw a shark pretty far out. As it got closer turns it was a 5 ft mexican navy Seal having a cold ass swim. These guys are built different😂
Im not Tier 1 but I can say that at my level and I can say with confidence that we all train for selection in a certain way. Once we make the teams, the majority of us train like this. Half my team is on TRT lol.
Great Video! Could you tell us what brand Half Rack and Cable Column you are using please. Trying to build out a home gym on a smaller scale and your gym looks like a perfect balance of equipment. Thank You!
The fact that DJ can get out of bed let alone lift like that with all of his injuries is crazy. Put in a lot of the correct work. Good shit
Also a lot of trt is why he can get out of bed with all those injuries lol my injuries have been much worse and I've had multiple orthopedic surgeries, this is not possible without TRT.

When i saw those bench presses i had to calculate multiple times in my head... 170kg. Damn man. Impressive.
Been following and learning from GBRS group for the longest and when they started big supporter of DJ and Cole very happy to see that they have collab with Raw .. which I am also a massive supporter and consumer of … cheers boys and gals and have a blessed day!
Cole ain’t even in this
DJ was benching 170kg for reps, that's some legit strength!
And on top of that “my collarbones not connected to my sternum anymore, so it clicks and feels awful.” Fack
What’s more impressive is that the dude has literally destroyed his body, multiple deployments, concussions, explosives, electrocuting himself.
Glad to see you guys putting time into your hard skills. These skills are extremely important for American civilians to be trained in in order to be prepared for worse case scenarios.
They are retired.

As a Veteran, I can not stress how correct these lads are about shoulders being smashed

These guys are reason I have hope with America there are few guys like this but many willing to have their backs💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

DJ and Cole are awesome, really good guys! Def the guys you want on your side when the zombie apocalypse happens
Cole ain’t even in this
Amazing video. From the training to the cinematic flow to the reason for the 20 minute walk in the morning. Badass 💪🏽🫡👊🏽
God Bless you DJ . You are a real motivation
This is the greatest collab on the internet imo and I’m loving all this content
This is one of the coolest videos I have seen such an elite group of guys
Love the intensity and focus on muscle connection🎉
Hella respect for raw for this collaboration

This is dope, and is definitely my favorite collaboration!!
The coach reminds me of Phil Daru. Great stuff. That last bit was even better.

Love seeing the mental aspect of this!

That msg at the end was truly beautiful 🫡🥲
Didn't realize Shipley was yoked up like that. Respect.
Theyre like elite professional athletes that actually play for keeps in the purest form of the term
Of course.
If the loser(s) of your chosen sport DIED, how hard would you train?
I loved this, bunch of great guys to collab with 💪🏼🙌🏼
Remember brothers, 1% better every day and its only 100 days to be 100% better
DJ Shipley! Love this dude.

Love how they casually listening to lil Wayne and 50 cent getting to the money . That’s good work from the lads
I feel like these guys would be better at helping with rehabbing my shoulder than everyone I've paid for assistance with it so far.
love the qoute at the end by DJ
The comradery is evident and inspiring. Great video!
