This is the best video I've seen for both the bobbin case and the plate installation I've ever seen! I was able to reinstall both on the first try after cleaning my 99k! I've struggled for years with this! Thank you Bob!
Sir, this tutorial saved my sanity. Have a motorized 1928 Singer 66 and I could not figure out what I was doing wrong trying to install the bobbin case after cleaning. I didn't have the thread tensioner raised all the way and was ready to give up when I found your video. Saw another poster had the same problem. I hope you get a front seat in heaven I am so grateful. I am trying to reacquaint myself with sewing after decades of my machine being a decoration. Thought everything would come back. I was wrong. I subbed and hope to learn more from your channel. A thousand thanks!
Great demonstration! Thank you. Now I am going to search your videos to find out where to put oil in the bobbin area. The manual shows everywhere but there.
Thank you very much for the video oh, that explains a lot of what I was doing wrong. Tomorrow morning I will get the bobbin case back into the sewing machine. Thank you again for the video.
I am trying to get my Singer 27-4 working again after 60 years of no use. Everything so far seems to be moving, but the presser foot lever seems to be broken and the foot does not go up or down. Help, please?
Im learning alot from your channel and appreciate your dedication to teaching us bob and like to say thank you , i have a question about upper tentioner on my 28 , its missing the disks and spring , now it does have the take up spring but not the one that puts pressure on the disks , my question is , can i use a spring and disks from a 27 on my 28 , they look the same but doesnt mean they have the same strength , i want to get my 28 going and i can scavenge the tentioner off my 27 for now but not 100% certian it will work , do you know if its a part i can interchange ?

Terri, you're welcome any time...
I always forget to make sure the thread tensioner arm is all the way up.
Yeah, I still catch myself doing that from time to time...

You certainly can. The disks and springs are 100% interchangable.
i have a 1915 model 66, how do you remove the bobbin case on that one?
I'll shoot a video showing that as soon as I can.
I lost my bobbin case , anyone having it ?
